Chương 160: The Final Piece

"Shut up! Do you really think that I'm afraid of you!" The Nogitsune tried to put on his confident look, even though the situation was clearly looking bad for him. Just then another Oni died, it was the one that was fighting Allison and the others, the Oni was helpless as he was surrounded by four people. Unfortunately for Allison, even this time she didn't get anything from the dead Oni. Lucas ignored the Nogitsune and looked at them, he felt like it was time to finish this fight.

He then looked back at the Nogitsune and gazed at him in disdain.

"It's meaningless, you're bound to me. The only way you can get out is by killing me." Before he could get an answer, Lucas attacked, just as the two Oni in front could react, he stabbed one with his spear and he sneakily threw the dagger into the other one's chest. With a bang it went into smoke, he tapped the knife that was about to fall with his foot, bringing it up, then he spun and embedded it right in the Oni's temple.

"Just one remaining.." Lucas patted the dust off him and looked at the Nogitsune. The remaining Oni was called to protect him. The Nogitsune clenched his teeth, and looked around in panic as he felt that a web had been laid since he escaped.

'Escape?!' The Nogitsune suddenly thought of something.

'I didn't escape!' His face became ferocious as he finally realized the horrible truth. His eyes widened as he looked at Lucas.

"You did it!" The others were confused by what he was talking about, but Lucas just looked at him. The Nogitsune was finally sure of his guess, and he pointed his finger at Lucas.

"Was I?"

"What?!" Scott and the others looked at them in shock. The reveal made them completely uncomfortable and the girls refused to believe that Lucas really did this. Allison was the only one who seemed calmer, something inside of her told her that Lucas was capable of doing this. But she didn't overreact as this wasn't the place. Feeling their surge of emotion, Lucas didn't explain anything and looked at the Nogitsune. His smile was slowly disappearing.

In that moment, the Nogitsune felt death knocking on the door, for the first time in a thousand years he felt he would truly die. Instead of facing Lucas, he turned around and started running away. The Oni remained in place, as an obstacle and to make time for the Nogitsune to run. Lucas took a deep breath and gripped the spear tightly. Then he threw it with all of his strength, the Oni tried to intercept it but it was too fast.

"Swoosh!" Hearing the sound behind him, the Nogitsune turned around to look and before he could react, the spear impaled him directly on the wall.

"Ahhhhgg!" He tried to struggle as the spear entered right into his shoulder, but it was meaningless as it went through him and embedded itself too deep in the wall.

"Be a good boy, and stay there." Lucas winked at him then turned his attention to the last Oni. He slowly walked towards it, then his pace quickened, just before reaching the Oni he jumped high in the air. What landed wasn't Lucas anymore, but a gigantic black wolf. The floor cracked when he landed, his mouth opened wide and bit toward the Oni.

"Clang!" The Oni hit the wolf's teeth with his sword but that didn't put a dent on it. Before he could slash again, Lucas bit the upper half of his body directly. Feeling the struggle in his mouth, Lucas bit the other half and began chewing directly. Soon the struggle ceased and the last of the Oni disappeared from this world completely. He then chose to strengthen the shadow teleportation ability, looking at the remaining Nogitsune, he would soon be able to use it.

The Nogitsune's eyes wandered in panic, then he laid eyes on Allison and the others behind Lucas. Before they could realize what happened, they suddenly found themselves in a courtyard full of snow, and with the Oni once again facing them.

"Lucas!" Allison shouted anxiously as she couldn't see him anymore. Not far away from them, Lucas glanced at their dazed look and gazed back at the Nogitsune who was smiling smugly.

"That's it?" The smile on the Nogitsune's face vanished.

"How?!" Lucas didn't respond and his body flashed forward and opened his mouth right for the Nogitsune's head. The Nogitsune looked at this scene in despair, then darkness followed. Blood poured from Lucas' mouth, the moment he died, the Nogitsune's body turned into blood, in that moment all the blood flowed into Lucas' mouth, completely absorbing the Nogitsune's power.
