Chương 95: Discovery

Lucas contemplated for a moment, then he responded: "I will call someone to take care of it." Suddenly, Lucas glanced in the town's direction. He felt several people approaching fast.

"We should go."

"Wait…" Lucas didn't give an explanation and grabbed her, and hurried to his car. Once they reached it, he quickly drove off.

"What happened?" Allison stared at him in confusion. He glanced in the mirror, then spoke: "I felt several people coming in our direction." Allison glanced back after hearing this, then looked at him with worry.

"They will discover the bodies…" He smiled reassuringly, then put his hand on hers.

"Don't worry, I don't think it was the police." After she nodded, a long silence fell in the car. Lucas could see that she was still in shock at what happened. Her right hand was even now slightly trembling, as if remembering what she had done. Lucas could only sigh inwardly. Although she was not close to Gerard, he was still her grandfather. This, in turn, made Lucas think of his situation and whether he was really some kind of psychopath.

He went from being shaken just from killing a werewolf to slaughtering dozens of people. He then shook his head and threw these kinds of thoughts away. To live in this world, he must choose between being a predator or being prey.

"Could I stay at your house…?" Allison's voice sounded very low, almost beggingly.

"What the hell…?" x2 As soon as Isaac and Erica saw the dead bodies, they exclaimed in shock. The smell of blood hit their noses like a wave, making them gag and vomit on the side. Derek's expression was not far off, but he controlled himself from losing face in front of his betas. He glanced shockingly at the scattered bodies. The worst was that he could see bodies torn apart. It was the work of a monster. Then his pupils shrank when he saw a familiar figure on the ground.

Seeing Gerard's dead body brought a great shock; he felt that he should be happy. But when he glanced back at the countless dead bodies, happiness was the last thing on his mind.

"What happened?" A voice broke his train of thought; when he looked over, it was Scott.

"Scott, stay there!" Derek shouted, wanting to stop him from seeing that gruesome sight, but it was too late.

"Wha…?!" Scott's stomach churned as he stared at this horrific scene. He took a few steps back, but he eventually stopped himself from vomiting.

"Did you do this?!" He stared with rage in his eyes at Derek. Derek rolled his eyes, then responded: "What do you think, you idiot?! I just got here!"

"Ah! Sorry!" He quickly broke eye contact, then glanced at Isaac and Erica, who were still frozen in shock.

"Do you know who?" Derek didn't glance at him and observed the bodies carefully. Then he looked at the arrow embedded in Gerard's chest.

"I have someone in mind." This scene reminded him of what he saw at the warehouse when he found the decapitated body. Scott gazed at him, waiting for him to tell him who, but Derek ignored him and walked away. •••• In the morning, Lucas slowly opened his eyes, but he couldn't help but freeze when he felt his body right on the edge of the bed. Then he looked at the koala hugging him and taking most of the bed for herself. He smiled helplessly. Now he knew why he didn't sleep well.

After slowly getting out of bed, Lucas cooked some breakfast. After 30 minutes, Allison woke up too, then they both ate in silence. They looked like an old couple's everyday routine, except for the killing part from last night.

"You can stay here for a couple of days, just tell them you're at Lydia's."

"Don't worry, I'm fine." Allison shook her head. He smiled and didn't insist. Then he felt a buzzing from his phone. When he looked over, he saw that it was a text from Steven saying: "The cleaners took care of it. For God's sake, what the hell did you do?!" Lucas smiled as he felt some weight off his shoulders, then replied to the message.

"Solving our problems of course." His eyes turned cold as he thought of the Calavera family. One of the problems close to him was ended; Gerard being alive could cause a lot of problems in the future. Now the only thing remaining for him to do is finish the Calavera family for good. It seems that he must make a trip to Mexico.
