Chương 85: Plan B

'This bastard is everywhere!' Lucas couldn't help but roll his eyes at Gerard. Lucas then tapped on his chest amusingly. Gerard's grin faded at this sight, in his hand he had a long sword. He gripped it tightly, as if in the next second he would rush over and slash him. Lucas paid no mind to him as he started walking away, he had more important things to worry about. Now that he was sure that the Kanima could not sense him from a certain distance, he needed to plan his next course of action.

After all, it's not just Gerard that wants him dead. He hadn't forgotten about the Calavera family, they would surely act soon. Lucas didn't stay in school long, just for a couple of hours. He remembered a very important detail about what had happened in the original plot. On the night that Allison undergoes her test, the Kanima killed a hunter. Without wasting more time, Lucas went to his house to grab his equipment and then headed straight for the Hale house.

When he arrived, the forest was filled with a calming silence. The smell of the washed-up trees brought a refreshing feeling to his lungs. After observing the surroundings for a moment, Lucas got down to work. It took him an hour to encircle a big chunk of the land around the burned house.

"Finally done.." He breathed a sigh of relief, ditching school to do another boring thing was not enjoyable at all. Lucas could only hope now that he hadn't done this for nothing. He clapped his hands, then left the forest. ••••"Mom! I told you no!" A set of footsteps sounded as Allison made her way to her room. Right behind her, Victoria quickly followed her in. "This is not a discussion! You will stay away from that boy…or else we will be forced to hurt him!" Victoria said the last part with a certain conviction. Allison turned towards her and glanced helplessly at her mother.

"Mom…it will be good if he doesn't hurt you…" She knew that her parents were hunters, but so was Lucas. He knew what methods they would use and had plans for them. On top of that, he was a shapeshifter too.

"Oh, we can handle your teenage boyfriend!" Victoria's voice kept getting colder with each word. Only thinking of that monster being with her daughter made her disgusted. While the two were in a passionate discussion, Lucas watched all of this from the top of the roof. He was staring so intently at this fight that the only thing he was missing was some popcorn. He smiled when Allison spoke, but when he heard what Victoria said, his smile vanished.

He could also feel her deep sense of disgust when she talked about him. He kept in mind that in the future, he must teach this psychopath a lesson. He shook his head as he concentrated on observing the surroundings. He was here to see if tonight something would happen. He had to make sure that Allison was safe. A couple of hours passed and it was already dark outside. Just when he was losing hope, he saw Allison driving her car away. Lucas quickly followed her, right to a gas station.

As Allison was filling up her car, Lucas searched around for people. In no time, Allison filled up her car, then left. Only Lucas was left there standing awkwardly.

"Fu*k!" He could only curse helplessly. Now he could only use plan B, which was more direct and involved kidnapping. •••• The next morning, Lucas was in front of Allison's house, waiting for her. He didn't have to wait long, as she swiftly made her way into his car.

"Morning!" She spoke with a smile on her face, then gave him a kiss.

"Morning." After their lips parted, he also spoke. After driving for a couple of minutes, he suddenly asked her a question.

"Did your parents by any chance give you a test?"

"A test?" She responded thoughtfully, then her eyes lit up.

"Aaa.. you mean tying me up and observing how long it would take for me to escape?"

"Yes!" His eyes shone.

"When was that?"

"That was 2 days ago, when we didn't see each other that much." Allison observed his reaction curiously. Now Lucas' expression was terrible, his timing was way off.

"Was there another hunter there?"

"Besides my father, yes. That man was the last to leave the Hale house." Lucas didn't know what to say, that hunter most likely was dead, and he had missed his opportunity. Soon the two arrived at school. While walking towards it, his senses flared up slightly. Then he looked in a certain direction. There he saw a blond girl walking confidently towards the school, and every student couldn't help but turn their heads towards her. While others were attracted by her looks, Lucas was filled with a certain desire…
