In that moment, time seemed to freeze as Scott watched the blade slowly moving toward his neck. Suddenly, his body was pulled and he slid right in front of Stiles' feet. He looked up from the ground and only saw a silver light flashing in that spot and quickly disappearing.
"Are you okay, buddy?!" Stiles hunched over and checked his body; he almost had a heart attack, thinking his friend would die.
"I'm fine…" Scott looked at him and, with his help, he got up and looked at the Oni. While he was fighting, Lucas still kept watch over them; when he saw Allison's actions, he smiled proudly. As he was fighting against the Oni, his eyes were getting more crimson with each minute; suddenly, he grabbed one of the Oni, ignored the others' attacks, and launched him against the Oni that was fighting against Scott. The two crashed into each other, turning into shadows.
Lucas ran in that direction and the other two Oni followed him; now he was standing in front of Stiles and Scott. He looked back at them, then studied Stiles' expression; he only saw a genuinely terrified expression on his face, though he didn't know if that was real. He thought for a second of letting the Oni check, but he shook his head as it wasn't time yet. While the Oni were still some distance away, he looked at the two, who were leaning against each other.
"Maybe if you give Scott a hug, the power of friendship will give him power." Stiles immediately let go of Scott and stared grudgingly at Lucas, but his anxious mood eased thanks to Lucas' joke. Lucas was speechless at his reaction; he really meant what he said. In future fights, Scott seemed to be powered by the power of friendship and family. As he thought of family, he couldn't help but think of that bald man with a serious expression on his face.
He then shook his head and looked at the Ninja warriors in front of him; he was now confronted by four of them, and even he started feeling the pressure. This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. The Oni weren't dangerous because they had overwhelming strength, but because they were practically immune to his attacks, and their Ninjato were strong enough to cut through his Obsidian defense.
The Oni didn't wait for him to analyze them, and they cut with their swords in his direction. Lucas' eyes shone, and their movements in his eyes seemed to slow down. He jumped and rolled in the air effortlessly through those sharp edges of the swords. A few strands of hair fell down as Lucas landed behind them. His claws entered deep inside two Oni and ripped apart a chunk of shadow from them. He looked at his hands and didn't see what he was after. The Oni turned around like robots, ready for another round.
Lucas straightened his back and looked down at the warriors in front of him. The previous leisurely expression was slowly fading away; he had enough of these immortal Ninjas. Veins of blood spread from his eyes throughout his body; his bones started cracking, and a powerful heartbeat was heard throughout the battlefield. His face constricted in pain as the monster inside of him was coming out, but his back remained straight as he looked at the creatures in front of him with pity.
Lucas opened his mouth, but what came out of it was a deep and unsettling voice, one that would make one shiver in fear just from hearing it.
"My name will make the world tremble once again! I shall start with you!" His voice broke at the end as his body grew larger and larger.
"Ripped!" His clothes fell to the ground in pieces as an enormous black wolf emerged from that spot. Then he raised his head toward the sky.
"ROARGHH!" The sound shook the space and made the air visibly quiver; thunder emerged in the dark night as a catastrophe seemed to target the small town of Beacon Hills. All of the Oni froze, but they didn't seem much affected; for the others, it was an entirely different situation. Stiles covered his ears in pain, while Scott was even worse; he fell trembling to the ground as he watched Lucas' figure with his yellow eyes before unconsciously looking down.
Not far away, Lydia seemed not affected at all by this and looked at them strangely. In front of her, Allison was affected as well, but in the opposite way. Her eyes turned completely silver and her face looked like she was painted silver on certain parts. She looked at her body in wonder as she felt inflated with strength. Lucas' roar traveled far and wide; the whole supernatural world of Beacon Hills heard it. From all directions, eyes were drawn in his direction.
•••• Deep inside the forest, dozens of yellow and blue eyes opened in the dark as Lucas' roar reached this unvisited part of the forest. Suddenly, a woman walked from behind them, her eyes flashed red as she calmed down her betas. She looked solemnly in Lucas' direction and looked at her affected members. A beta approached her and spoke in a worried tone.
"It sounds different from Derek…I…feel like it's telling us something."
"It's not Derek!" She looked away from her beta and looked thoughtfully at the thunder in the sky.
"He's telling us…
