"Well?" Noticing him not speaking, the woman spoke again. Lucas didn't mind being caught and smiled when he realized who she was.

"Ms. Morrell, it's nice to see you." Marin Morrell raised her eyebrows at him, and spoke: "I don't recall meeting you." He took a few steps forward and gazed into her eyes.

"No, we haven't. But I heard so much about you." Marin didn't seem to mind him getting closer and spoke with a confident smile.

"Good things I hope." He nodded and without invitation, he entered her office.

"You wouldn't mind having me, right?" Marin didn't respond, she closed the door and sat in her chair. She gazed at him with a hint of curiosity. Taking a seat as well, he began observing her without hiding it.

'She's good!' He couldn't help but exclaim inwardly. Even his senses barely noticed her nervousness, and in a split second, she managed to restrain her emotions. Lucas was spot on with his judgment, even though Marin masked her emotions, her inner world was turbulent. When she gazed at his shadow, she could see a pair of eyes gazing back. Those crimson eyes were full of slaughter and greed. Strangely enough, she felt that they were pure. Something that she never saw in someone with such an aura.

Noticing her still in deep thought he smiled and broke the silence.

"You seem curious about something."

"What makes you think that?" She responded without her expression changing. Lucas looked at her chest.

"My heart? I don't follow you." He was not surprised to see her still trying to act like she knew nothing. He admitted that she was quite good at this.

"If you still want to act it's fine by me, I get to see a beautiful lady trying to mask her true self."

"I must remind you that I'm a teacher!" Her tone became slightly stern. But when she saw his unbothered smile, she felt a headache. She truly felt that her luck had run out, although she gathered some information about him, it was only some scattered pieces. She didn't even have an idea of what kind of shapeshifter he was. She felt that he might cause some trouble for "him" although it would not necessarily be a bad thing. A sharp glint flashed through her eyes when she thought of that man.

"Since you're a guidance counselor, can you figure out my goal?" He stared curiously at her, he wanted to get some information from her.

"It doesn't work that way, can I help you with something else?" She tapped her fingers on the desk and glanced at the door. Lucas got up and leaned on the desk, getting closer to her face.

"You're interesting." He then turned around and walked out of the room. Seeing him leave Marin didn't speak or do anything out of the ordinary. She only stared at the wall in contemplation. She needed more information on Lucas, to put a leash on someone you need to know them better. •••• After school, Lucas headed straight towards the building that he told John to buy. In that location, they were planning to buy the surrounding buildings and make it the headquarters of their security business.

After arriving he went straight towards the basement, where he saw John studying the place.

"What do you think?" His voice brought John back from his thoughts and made him glance at him.

"The building is in good condition, and with around $500, 000 we can manage to make it according to your expectations." Then he glanced around a few more times and looked at him.

"But why don't we just combine it all into one building? We will save money." Lucas walked a few steps around and looked at the surrounding space.

"Because this will be available only to a small number of people, and reinforced as such." He wanted to keep valuable things here, the company surrounding it was an outer defense, but the biggest defense needed to be constructed here. Once his business emerged, he couldn't tell how many of his new staff members he could trust. John chose to accept his answer, after all he wasn't the one paying. Then he changed the subject.

"I spoke to some of my friends, 4 of them agreed to come and work for us." Lucas smiled and nodded.

"Good. The salary is based on their skills. How long for the papers?" The people can be found anytime, but getting through bureaucracy can sometimes take a long time.
