Chương 124: The Twins

Lucas glanced at the screen and responded.

"I had a feeling."

"A feeling, huh?" John didn't buy that.

"Are you a prophet?" Lucas threw him an annoyed look. He was trying to watch a movie with Allison alone now that Lydia wasn't here, and this annoying guy came over. He was starting to think he should revoke some of his access. Lucas grabbed Allison's hand and started walking towards the exit. Just as he was about to leave, he turned around and looked at him.

"I predict that someone will not get their salary." John's mouth twitched as he watched them enter the lift and leave. He was just curious and wanted to ask where he should invest. But when he glanced at the big price drop, he threw that thought out of his mind. He didn't want to sleep on the streets. While on the elevator, the one who was curious now was Allison.

"How did you do it?" When she first heard that he started investing, she didn't think much of it. But now he had turned half a million dollars into 50 million dollars.

"I'm the chosen one! Sent to save the earth, so of course I know some stuff!" Lucas struck a Superman pose, making Allison giggle. •••• The moment Lucas stepped foot into the hallway, he couldn't help but miss the summer break. Training peacefully, playing video games with Allison, and hanging out by the pool with her and Lydia. Now he had to go back to sitting on those seats filled with gross bubble gum underneath and listen to lectures about something that would never help him in life.

The moment Lucas laid eyes on her, his face twisted in disgust. Even if he wanted to, he couldn't see what other people were seeing.

How badly he wished that he could just go over to her and put a bag over her head. He could imagine Derek putting a bag over her head, then hitting it from behind. He couldn't help but start laughing at that image, and instantly the entire class focused on him.

"Is there something funny, Mr. Ashford?" the teacher asked, raising her eyebrows.

"Thump!" Before she could get an answer, a loud noise was heard as something struck the window. Lucas watched her performance in amusement. He then slowly got up and used his body to shield Allison and Lydia. The enormous cloud of crows soon became apparent to everybody. Seeing them approaching, panic spread among the students. Only Allison and Lydia were somewhat calm as they stayed behind him.

"Get down!" the teacher, Jennifer, shouted as if she were also panicking. Just as the crows were about to hit the windows, Lucas' eyes shone brightly and a deadly aura emerged from his body. One that only the supernatural beings in that room could sense. At that moment, most of the birds changed their trajectory and hit the walls outside. Even though some broke through the windows, the panic quickly subsided.

While everyone was still staring at the windows and the birds lying on the floor, Jennifer's face twisted involuntarily, and for just a second her real face appeared. She then glanced around and was relieved when she saw that no one was looking at her. Her eyes traveled to Lucas' figure. She gritted her teeth, then relaxed and put on a worried expression. Seeing that it was over, he glanced at Allison and Lydia.

"Are you two okay?"

"We are fine." X2 When he glanced behind them, he saw Stiles looking at him.

"Are you ready for what's coming?" Stiles didn't know how to respond. He knew what Lucas meant. But he was just a human. What could he do? Go and kick some werewolf ass? Lucas chuckled at his reaction, then he looked at Scott, who was still observing the dead crow. Then the teacher began evacuating everybody from the classroom. Just as Lucas and the girls were walking down the hallway, they saw two conspicuous people. They were twins, and everywhere they passed, they got looks from the other students.

"I think I saw them somewhere." Lydia put her hand on her chin as she tried hard to remember. Allison's eyes shrank when she saw their faces. Then she looked at Lydia and spoke.

"From the file!"

"What file… ah!" Lydia put her hand over her mouth. She finally remembered where she had seen their faces. The twins had already reached their position by then, and they stopped and analyzed Lucas from head to toe.
