Peter ignored his annoying nephew and approached the sign. Then he embedded his claws and twisted, making the sign slide and revealing a pair of stairs leading to the ground. The two walked down the stairs and reached the second door, at that moment Derek spoke.
"Don't you feel that something is different?"
"No! Now shut up and let me work." Peter then ignored him and opened the door. A wave of dusty air hit their faces, after waiting for a few seconds they both walked inside. As they were walking, both their expressions turned worse with each step, they could see the space that was once full of items was empty. Derek's eyes turned red in fury as his family artifacts were stolen.
"Who did this?!" Peter ignored the useless artifacts and gazed hopefully at the safe in the middle.
"They must still be in there." He murmured obsessively and reached for the safe. After inserting the code, he pulled the door and the safe squeaked. The contents inside made both of them tremble. A dollar was placed carefully in the middle, to them it looked more like a middle finger. Someone obviously left it to humiliate those who opened the safe. Rage built up inside Peter and veins popped on his forehead.
"I WILL KILL YOU!" The walls trembled as his voice traveled through the space around. Derek was angry too, but he was also confused as only his family could open this place. So who did it? •••• While on the phone, Lucas glanced around as he felt like someone was speaking badly about him. "Are you still there?" The voice from the other side pulled back his attention.
"Yes, just bring him to the location I sent you." On the other side, Stiles' voice sounded hesitant.
"But what would you need with Mr. Harris?"
"Didn't you figure it out? Just do it." Lucas then closed the call, not wasting more time with him. He then called Scott and told him to help Stiles with the task. Maybe he could at least cheer from the side. Lucas then went to the building next door where the armory was situated. As soon as he entered, he saw Allison getting ready and Malia and Lydia standing next to her.
"Are you ready?" Allison strapped the last knife to her belt and put the bow on her back.
"I'm ready!" Lucas nodded and glanced at the fired-up Malia, he contemplated what to do with her but eventually he decided to bring her over, he didn't build his team just for show. And Malia wasn't weak, her wildness could prove to be useful. He then looked at Lydia who was also wearing black body armor.
"Why are you here?" She raised her head up and responded.
"To help you fight the Nogitsune." Lucas massaged his head and spoke in a sarcastic tone.
"How? By singing some songs?"
"No…" Lydia shook her head then pointed toward her mouth.
"By screaming." Lucas gazed at her stubborn face and didn't know what to do.
"Even though we trained, you're still not used to using that kind of power." He never missed the opportunity to train Lydia even when she didn't want to, because he knew that her powers could help them in the future. But he still felt that it was too early for her to join a real fight, especially one against one of the most dangerous beings in the entire world.
"I made my decision." Lydia hugged her arms and her gaze didn't budge. She felt tired of leaving them to fight all alone while she stayed on the sidelines doing nothing. The image of Lucas dying kept appearing in her mind, and that made her even more convinced to go with them and change that future. Lucas gazed at her for a few seconds and finally nodded in agreement. Then he looked seriously at all of them and spoke.
"Remember, the Nogitsune is a trickster, he will play with your minds and even show you things that aren't real." Seeing them listen carefully to his warnings, Lucas didn't say anything else and turned around and began walking. •••• The moonlight shone beautifully in the sky as the sound of an engine broke the silent peace around a worn-out building. From the car, Stiles and Scott stepped out, and with them an unwillingly dragged Harris.
"You two better have a good reason why you brought me here!" Harris turned toward them and spoke as he gritted his teeth. Scott could only give him a hopeless look, at first he tried convincing Harris with words to come here, but when that didn't work, he brought him by force.
"Don't worry, it's for a good reason." Stiles smiled and pushed him toward the entrance. As soon as they entered, they saw Lucas sitting down on a chair with a spear right in front of him. By his side stood Allison, Lydia, and Malia.
