Wave after wave of bullets rained on Lucas' skin. This time he had nowhere to dodge; the bullets were coming from all directions.
"Ahhgg!" He grimaced in pain as his obsidian defense was starting to break. Feeling his limit, he ran toward a group of hunters and suddenly jumped 4 meters high.
"Thump!" The ones who felt the impact most were the men. Right underneath Lucas' feet lay a helpless hunter; his head was twisted in the opposite direction. Before the men could fire again, Lucas took the corpse and swung it violently toward the group of hunters.
"WHAM!" The corpse crashed into them like a cannonball. This brought a brief moment of stillness from the other hunters. He didn't wait for them to react and swiftly reached for the closest hunter.
"RIP!"
"NOOO—AAAHH!" The man screamed in agony as his whole arm was ripped apart. Blood splattered everywhere, flowing from his shoulder like a fountain. His shout quickly came to a stop as Lucas ripped his neck with his claws. With blood all over his face, he gazed ferociously at the men all around. He could sense the growing fear in them and smiled.
"Shoot him!" The one who was leading the team shouted and started firing again. Unfortunately for them, by the time they wished to do this, Lucas had already made his way into another team of men.
"AAAHHH!" Screams of helplessness were heard throughout the forest as a slaughter was taking place. You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author. The man was now not sure if he should shoot, because he would most likely kill some of his men. He stared blankly at the horrifying scene. Lucas was ripping his men apart like they were some fragile dolls. Just for a brief moment, he thought he saw a hint of blood-red in Lucas' pupils.
"El Diablo!" The man whispered in shock, then finally decided to shoot at Lucas regardless of the casualties. Before Lucas could continue his slaughter, a rain of bullets fell on him. The remaining men died quickly. Suddenly, pieces of his skin began flying around. His obsidian defense began to crumble. Lucas could hear the shouts of joy coming from them. He gritted his teeth as his whole body was becoming unrecognizable from the wounds.
"ROARHH!" His roar resounded through all the forest, even reaching Beacon Hills. The moment that it stalled them for a second, Lucas was already in front of them. Before the man in front could do anything, Lucas swept with his claws, ending his life. Then swiftly grabbed his rifle and shot around him. By now, only the leader remained. Full of wounds all over his body, Lucas walked unhurriedly in front of him.
"This is the price for going against the Ashfords!" The man suddenly started laughing; tears were falling from his eyes.
"Everybody will hunt you now! Haha, you will soon join us!!"
"Crack!" Lucas effortlessly broke his neck and whispered: "Then they shall die!" He raised his head and looked at the serene stars in the sky. His body was surrounded by dead bodies, with limbs missing from them. The forest was stained with blood; a massacre had taken place. Then he suddenly spoke: "You're quite the snake."
"What can I say…I will survive." Gerard walked not far from Lucas' back, pointing his gun at his head.
"This is the end for you." He grinned as he observed Lucas' body filled with gruesome wounds. Lucas glanced at him from the corner of his eye, then closed his eyes. But what followed was not the sound of the gun, but something else.
"Whoosh!" Gerard looked blankly at the arrow embedded in his chest. Then, in the direction from where it came, when he saw who it was, his eyes widened.
"It…can't…be..!" His voice broke off as his eyes dimmed, and his body fell to the ground. Lucas glanced in that direction, unsurprised by this turn of events. He looked at Allison's face and remained silent. She had just killed her grandfather for him. He then watched as she hurriedly rushed over to him and checked his body.
"You are injured!" Allison's eyes were filled with tears as she glanced at his tattered body.
"It's okay." He gently stroked her face, then under her shocked eyes, his injuries were steadily healing. Bullets embedded in his skin were slowly coming out, and the wounds were closing for good. Allison stared in disbelief at this sight; it was the first time she saw something so incredible. Then she glanced at the bodies all around them with difficulty; she felt sick just by looking at them.
"What are we going to do about them?"
