Derek and Peter ran in their direction, and just as they were close enough, they approached Lucas carefully.
"What happened?" Derek looked around at the trashed place; it looked like it had experienced a disaster.
"Freaking ninjas! That's what happened!" Stiles hit a piece of gravel and looked at him with exhaustion.
"Ninjas?!" Derek and Peter looked at each other, their reaction sparking the curiosity of the others.
"Wait! You met them?" Scott walked in front of them and looked anxiously for an answer. Even now, his body was still trembling as the memory of when he was about to die kept playing inside his head. Derek remained silent for a few seconds, then he lifted his ear up and showed them a mark.
"We fought them, but…we weren't strong enough; just as we thought they would kill us, they just looked into our eyes and made this mark."
"Mark?!" Stiles and Scott approached him and studied the mark carefully, but eventually, they had no idea what it meant. Allison and Lydia approached them too, and Lydia looked up at Lucas and spoke.
"Why do I get the feeling that you know something?" All eyes shifted towards him, Lucas glanced at them, then his body started cracking and in a few seconds, he appeared naked in the same spot. Lydia's eyes widened; just as she was about to take a closer look, Allison put her hand over her eyes.
"Turn around!" Seeing her glare, Lydia could only obey helplessly. Lucas grabbed a few pieces of cloth and made a temporary garment around his crotch.
"The mark means that you're still yourself and not possessed by the evil spirit."
"We have possession now?! Great, what else?!" Stiles grabbed his head in sorrow, then he looked at Lucas again.
"Wait! So this is all they wanted?" This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. Seeing him nod, Stiles and the others were speechless; they almost died, and he could've just told them this from the start.
"Why didn't we just let them check us?" Lucas looked at their expressions and didn't really want to give them an answer. If he said something, it could be easily found out by those who are experts at playing with the mind.
"Beacon Hills is my territory!" Arrogance can be harmful sometimes, but it can also mislead your enemy.
"I…" Just as Derek wanted to contradict that, Peter elbowed him in the stomach.
"Sorry! Derek just has a stomachache." Peter smiled and gestured with his eyes toward Derek. He felt that his nephew was really begging for a beating; Lucas was clearly an uncontrollable psychopath. Derek glared coldly at Peter and gave a forced admission. Stiles and Scott looked at each other, speechless at Lucas' answer. What could they do? Force him to give a better explanation? Allison frowned and looked at him in thought, but she eventually chose to trust him.
She knew Lucas; if he didn't speak, he must have a good reason. Strangely enough, Lydia became the quietest; being behind Allison, she couldn't be seen by the others except Lucas. Her eyes were closed, and you could see her struggling to open them. Lucas looked away from them and focused his gaze on Lydia. He could see her body trembling slightly, then stopping from time to time. He frowned, as it was obvious what was happening to her; Lydia was having a vision. He looked at Derek and Peter and spoke.
"Thanks for coming to help. We should go now before the police arrive." Without waiting for them to respond, he grabbed Allison's hand and put his hand on Lydia's back, pushing her and walking away. Stiles frowned and looked at Lydia in deep thought.
"There's something weird about Lydia." Earlier, he hadn't noticed, but now he could see her distracted appearance. Scott glanced at him curiously, then at Lydia as she left.
"Maybe you're just tired, let's go home." He patted his head, then Scott began walking away. While Derek and Peter followed him, Stiles remained a few extra seconds behind and looked in the direction that Lucas left.
"Stiles! Are you coming?!" Breaking away from his train of thought, he began running towards Scott.
"Coming!" •••• Arriving at their base, Lucas and Allison placed Lydia on the couch; her eyes were still closed, only this time she started mumbling some words. Allison looked at her in worry, then glanced at him.
"Do you know what's happening to her?"
"If I'm not wrong, she is seeing something now, maybe a…" He didn't continue, but Allison could understand his meaning. Her face became pale and she looked at Lydia anxiously; she knew what Lydia was, and that made her heart even heavier. Suddenly, Lydia's eyes opened wide, her mouth struggled for air, but at the same time, she tried speaking. She looked in horror at Lucas and lifted her trembling hand.
"I-I saw y-you…"
