Chương 143: Who’s The Alpha?

"He's telling us to submit to him, marking Beacon Hills and the surroundings as his territory!" Her tone was grave as her eyes were flickering in that direction. She had heard about the new Alpha, but she never thought he would be this arrogant. Even Deucalion was less arrogant than this; this could tell how much displeasure she had. The girl beside Satomi opened her mouth in shock; she couldn't believe that someone would be so bold as to challenge all beings in Beacon Hills.

Satomi turned around and looked at her pack.

"A storm is coming, we must prepare to face it or…it will tear us apart!"

"Yes!" X20 •••• They weren't the only ones shocked by this; in Derek's apartment, his pack was gathered, and even Peter was there. The large glass window trembled and the sound came to their ears. The betas trembled in fear as they couldn't help but grit their teeth in pain. Derek's eyes turned red as he looked in the school's direction, then he glanced back at Peter. They both thought instantly of Lucas and his Alpha form.

"Did something happen?"

"Even if it did, it's not our business." Peter rolled his eyes and looked at the ceiling; he wasn't interested in getting his ass kicked, last time it didn't go well for him. Derek's eyes seemed to emit disdain towards him, then he looked hesitantly in that direction. Making up his mind, he started walking towards the exit.

"Damn it!" He gritted his teeth and followed after Derek. •••• The moment that Lucas transformed, the Oni froze for a few seconds, then immediately attacked. Although large, his body was still agile; he jumped high in the air, making their attacks pointless. Not giving them much of a chance, Lucas swept with his massive paws, making a puddle of shadows from them. His eyes stared coldly at the regenerating Oni; he was thinking of how to deal with them.

Suddenly, a thought came to mind and he stared greedily at their bodies. Lucas didn't wait and acted on that thought; he opened his mouth wide and before the Oni in front of him could regenerate, Lucas swallowed all of its body. He gulped and licked his lips as he looked at the others. All of them came to a stop, even the one that was getting his ass beat by the upgraded Allison. Suddenly, Lucas' belly trembled; he felt the Oni trying desperately to get out.

Unfortunately for it, his stomach seemed like a black hole, digesting the Oni without stopping. The struggle didn't last long and a wave of energy washed over his body; this energy was different from the others he had until now. The moment that the Oni was killed, the others seemed to feel it, and their yellow eyes stared intensely at Lucas. When Lucas came back to his senses and saw them looking over, he grinned ferociously. At that moment, all the Oni took a step back.

Allison looked helplessly at the one in front of her; even when attacked, it didn't respond anymore. She was excited when she felt the growing strength, now all the joy had vanished. The others were shocked as well; the once fearless creatures were now backing away from Lucas. Lucas stepped in their direction, as if wanting to kill them all. The Oni took another step back and before all of them could blink, they melted into the shadows and disappeared.

"They ran just like that…?" Lydia looked at the shadows around her and was speechless. Suddenly, she felt the ground trembling as Lucas approached them. She looked at the large wolf fearlessly. Lucas glanced at her for a second, then looked at Scott and Stiles. He brought his head closer and growled as if he was about to take a piece of them too.

"Mo…!" Before Stiles could scream, he saw the wolf grinning, and his entire body crumbled to the ground.

"Haha! I think that you almost peed yourself." Lydia couldn't help it and pointed her finger directly at his face. Stiles covered his face in shame and all of them started laughing together. All of the fear and negativity from the fight was washed away as they managed to stay alive. Lucas looked at them and he let them enjoy this happy moment in peace. Just as he wanted to study his new ability, his ears trembled and he looked into the distance and saw someone quickly approaching their location.
