The next board was worse because it looked simple. DO NOT CLUMPDO NOT SCATTERDO NOT CHASEDO NOT FREEZE Kaminari stared at it for a long time. Then he raised his hand. Aizawa did not turn around.
"No" Kaminari lowered his hand.
"But you do not know what I was going to ask""You were going to ask what we are allowed to do" Kaminari stared.
"That is terrifying" Jiro looked at the board.
"It is kind of the obvious question""It was my obvious question" Sero leaned against the wall.
"The board has removed most options" Todoroki read each line carefully.
"Do not clump. do not scatter. do not chase. do not freeze" Bakugo crossed his arms.
"So move correctly" Aizawa turned.
"Congratulations. You have discovered hero work" Bakugo scowled.
"Do not say it like that""I will say useful things however I want" Kirishima whispered "That was a teacher flex" Mina whispered "Aizawa-sensei has terrible flexes" Aizawa looked at them. They both became statues. Class 1-A stood inside Gym Gamma again, but the layout had changed. The taped lanes were gone. The clear duel spaces were gone.
The field now resembled the first stage of the provisional license exam in miniature: soft barriers, fake walls, low platforms, movable cover, target zones, and too many sightlines. A large white circle marked the center. Smaller colored zones marked possible safe clusters, false shelter, and route breaks. Class 1-B stood across the gym. More of them this time. Kendo, Monoma, Tetsutetsu, Tokage, Awase, Shiozaki, Pony, Kaibara, Rin, and Komori.
Vlad King watched from their side with a grin that looked almost as tired as Aizawa's. Ren sat near the Provisional Track entry point, target vest modified for chair use and currently resting on his lap, not worn yet. Shinso stood beside him with his collar neutral and his capture scarf ready. Recovery Girl sat at the medical station. Kurose stood near the board. Power Loader and Hatsume observed behind a support tape line. Hatsume held a clipboard that read DO NOT INVENT DURING DRILL.
It had been written by Power Loader. Hatsume had added SMALL NOTES ARE NOT INVENTING in smaller handwriting. Kurose had crossed that out. Aizawa tapped the board.
"The first stage will not give you clean matchups. You may be targeted because you are U. A. You may be targeted because someone knows your Sports Festival footage. You may be targeted because someone thinks you are weak. You may be targeted because someone thinks you are dangerous. You may be targeted because eliminating one of you creates panic in the rest" The room got quieter. That last sentence had teeth. Aizawa continued "When hunted, groups make predictable mistakes. They clump and become one target.
They scatter and lose support. They chase provocation. They freeze waiting for a leader" He pointed at the lines again.
"Today you will fail at all four until you stop" Kaminari whispered "I do not like pre-announced failure" Jiro whispered "It saves time" Kurose stepped forward.
"Clarification. Hunted does not mean helpless. Hunted means visible. Visibility can be used back. You practiced that yesterday. Today you practice group shape" She wrote beneath Aizawa's lines. GROUP SHAPE IS A CHOICE Yaoyorozu looked at the words.
"Formation discipline" Aizawa nodded.
"Yes. But not rigid formation. Rigid formation becomes predictable. You need flexible proximity. Near enough to support. far enough not to become one target" Iida's hand lifted.
"Is there a preferred distance?" Aizawa said "No universal distance" Iida visibly suffered. Mina patted his shoulder.
"Be strong" He nodded like she had assigned him a mission. Bakugo looked at Class 1-B.
"Are they hunting us?" Vlad King answered.
"Yes" Class 1-B smiled in various degrees of enthusiasm, responsibility, and Monoma. Monoma spread both arms.
"At last. Educational predation" Kendo chopped him without looking.
"Limited predation" Monoma bent forward.
"Still predation" Tetsutetsu punched one fist into his palm.
"We are going all out within rules!" Kaminari whispered "That sentence has spikes" Kurose looked at Ren and Shinso.
"Provisional Track will observe the first run. Second run may include Shinso. Third may include Ren depending on medical clearance. Pair integration only if first two phases remain controlled" Ren nodded.
"Accepted" Shinso said "Annoyingly cautious" Recovery Girl said "Correctly cautious" Shinso did not argue. That was training too. The first run began with only Class 1-A against Class 1-B. Aizawa gave Class 1-A thirty seconds to form a plan. The plan lasted four seconds after the buzzer. That was generous. Iida began with a clear route call.
"Initial spread! Support pairs! Maintain sightlines!" Good. Yaoyorozu moved toward central cover with Jiro and Sero. Midoriya and Uraraka shifted left. Todoroki stayed middle-rear for field control. Bakugo moved forward. Too far. Kirishima moved with him. Too automatic. Kaminari hesitated. Mina pulled him toward cover. Asui moved high along a side platform. Class 1-B did not attack head-on. They came from angles. Tokage split and sent target balls from above.
Komori created mushroom clusters near the central cover, forcing Yaoyorozu and Jiro to step out of their planned position. Awase used contact points to anchor a movable panel and block Iida's route. Kendo and Tetsutetsu pushed the left flank, not to eliminate Midoriya and Uraraka immediately, but to make them choose between support and retreat. Monoma moved loudly toward Bakugo. Of course he did.
"Ah, the explosive center of attention approaches. How reassuringly predictable!" Bakugo accelerated. Aizawa muttered "There it is" Kirishima followed. Iida shouted "Do not overextend!" Bakugo ignored him. Kirishima heard. He hesitated. That hesitation cost him. Pony hit his shoulder target from a side angle. Kirishima cursed. Bakugo blasted a training ball out of the air and threw one back hard enough to smack Monoma's barrier panel. Monoma dodged, laughing.
"Chase confirmed!" Bakugo's face went feral. Then Jiro shouted "Bakugo, left!" Too late. Tokage's detached hand hit his back target. Bakugo spun. Another hit from Kendo on the side. Two targets down. He was not eliminated yet. He looked furious enough to become weather. Aizawa called "Pause" The buzzer cut. Class 1-A froze. Class 1-B stopped cleanly. Mostly. Monoma bowed. Kendo kicked his ankle lightly. Aizawa walked to the center.
"Report. First failure" Bakugo snarled "I chased" Aizawa nodded.
"Yes" Bakugo's jaw clenched.
"Because he baited me" Aizawa waited. Bakugo breathed through his nose.
"No. Because I took bait""Good correction" Bakugo looked like he wanted to bite the word good. Aizawa looked at Kirishima.
"Second failure" Kirishima touched his shoulder target.
"I followed Bakugo automatically instead of holding pair distance" Kendo nodded from across the line.
"That made your path predictable" Kirishima looked at her.
"Yeah" Aizawa looked at the central group.
"Third" Yaoyorozu answered.
"We clumped around cover after environmental pressure" Jiro added "The cover became a trap once Komori changed it" Aizawa nodded.
"Fourth" Kaminari raised his hand weakly.
"I froze when central cover changed because I was waiting for Iida or Yaoyorozu to tell me where electricity would not make things worse" Aizawa looked at him.
"Good report. What should you have done?"
"Map and call status instead of becoming decorative" Jiro muttered "Decorative is generous" Kaminari nodded.
"True" Aizawa turned to Midoriya.
"Fifth" Midoriya swallowed.
"Uraraka and I started helping center instead of maintaining left pressure because it looked like the team was in trouble" Uraraka nodded.
"That let Kendo push us without spending much effort" Kendo said "Correct" Aizawa returned to the board and circled every line.
"You did all four. Clump. scatter. chase. freeze. Then you called it support, instinct, rescue, or caution" Class 1-A looked collectively wounded by accuracy. Aizawa turned toward Ren and Shinso.
"Observers. One sentence each" Shinso spoke first.
"They made Class 1-B's job cheaper by reacting emotionally to each pressure" Kaminari whispered "Cheaper hurts" Ren said "They lost shape before they lost targets" Yaoyorozu's eyes sharpened.
"That is important" Kurose wrote. YOU LOSE SHAPE BEFORE TARGETS Bakugo stared at the board. He hated it. So it was probably useful. Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. Report any sightings. Aizawa reset the field.
"Second run. Shinso enters as communication disruptor and responder for Class 1-A. No Brainwashing unless protocol condition triggers. His objective is not to save you. His objective is to preserve group shape" Shinso looked at him.
"That is a cruel role""Yes""Accepted" He stepped onto the field. Class 1-A had thirty seconds again. This time, Shinso spoke during planning.
"Do not make me central command" Iida stopped halfway through assigning him a relay position. Shinso continued "If everyone waits for my voice, we freeze. I call shape breaks. You correct your own bodies" Yaoyorozu nodded.
"Shape break caller" Shinso grimaced.
"Terrible name" Jiro said "Functional" Kaminari looked at him.
"So if I freeze?"
"I tell you status, not destiny""That is actually helpful""Do not look relieved""Trying" Bakugo pointed at him.
"Do not call me off unless I am actually chasing" Shinso looked at him.
"No" Bakugo's eyes narrowed.
"No?"
"I will call you off when you start chasing, not after you agree you are chasing" Kirishima made a sound. Bakugo glared. Shinso stared back. Aizawa said "Begin" The buzzer sounded. Class 1-B attacked differently. Because good opponents did not repeat the same lesson politely. This time, they pressured Shinso. Tokage sent a ball toward his shoulder target from high right. Awase blocked his first route. Monoma shouted from behind a panel.
"Will U. A. now hide behind the boy whose Quirk they feared until convenient?" Class 1-A reacted. Too much. Midoriya's head snapped toward Monoma. Uraraka shifted. Kirishima stepped forward. Bakugo's palms sparked. Shinso's voice cut through before the shape broke.
"Bait. hold roles" The collar carried the words clearly without forcing volume. Midoriya stopped. Uraraka returned to left lane. Kirishima checked Bakugo's flank instead of moving toward Monoma. Bakugo snarled but did not chase. Good. Monoma smiled.
"Improvement. How tragic" Kendo pushed left. Uraraka kept range this time, floating two pieces of soft debris after checking route and using them as moving cover. Midoriya did not rush to help center. He called "Left holding. center status?" Yaoyorozu answered "Center pressured but not collapsing" Good. Kaminari saw Komori's mushrooms spreading near cover and did not wait.
"Center cover becoming trap. I am shifting right" Jiro answered "Heard. I have sound check" Shinso moved along the rear-middle, not commanding, just cutting shape breaks.
"Too tight" The central group widened.
"Bakugo far" Kirishima said "On it" Bakugo snapped "I know!" Kirishima answered "Then know slower" Bakugo looked ready to kill him. Then actually slowed. The observation line reacted. Aizawa almost looked pleased. Almost. Class 1-B pressed harder. Pony's horns forced Iida off his route. Tetsutetsu charged toward Todoroki's ice path. Tokage targeted Shinso again, trying to make him defend himself instead of watching shape. This time, Shinso did not ask questions. He used scarf. He used feet. He used silence.
Tokage's ball grazed his side target but did not detach it. He reported.
"Side target grazed. not lost. shape intact" No one turned to look. Good. Kendo threw two balls at Uraraka's route. Uraraka dodged one, blocked one with floating debris, then called "Left still holding" Midoriya did not move. Good. Then Monoma found Bakugo again.
"Your temper is not your strategy" Bakugo's body loaded. Shinso spoke.
"Known bait" Bakugo snarled.
"I know!"
"Then use it back" Bakugo's eyes sharpened. For one second, he looked angrier. Then he grinned. Not nice. Useful. He blasted forward as if chasing Monoma. Monoma retreated, expecting overextension. Bakugo cut sideways instead, using the apparent chase to draw Monoma into Sero's tape line. Sero snapped the tape. Monoma's path shortened. Jiro tagged his shoulder target with a thrown ball. Hit. Monoma stared.
"Oh. Weaponized expectation" Bakugo barked "You are the idiot who expected me to stay stupid" Aizawa called "Language" Bakugo shouted "Educationally stupid!" Kurose wrote nothing. Mercy again. The timer ended. Class 1-A had lost six targets total. Class 1-B had lost five. No eliminations. But Class 1-A had kept shape. Aizawa called end. Shinso exhaled slowly.
"Map" Aizawa looked at him.
"You first""Gym Gamma. field. throat mild strain. collar helpful. side target grazed. no Quirk activation. irritated. shape held. map present" Aizawa nodded.
"Good" Kurose wrote: SHAPE HELD Kaminari looked proud and exhausted.
"Shape held feels like a victory but not a victory-victory" Vlad King said "That is accurate" Kendo nodded.
"You were much harder to collapse" Bakugo crossed his arms.
"Because we stopped doing their job for them" Shinso looked at him.
"That was my first observation" Bakugo glared.
"Do not act like you invented not being dumb" Shinso replied "Someone had to" Aizawa's scarf rose. Both stopped. Ren watched them from the edge. Shinso had not used Brainwashing. Class 1-A had not made his silence into absence. The shape had held because he made the breaks visible and everyone corrected their own bodies. Good. Not glamorous. Useful. Then Aizawa looked at Ren.
"Third run. Your choice" The gym quieted. Ren's chair remained near the entry point. Target vest on lap. Not worn. Medical station watched him. Hana and Daichi had been allowed to observe from the side wall. Hana's hands were folded tightly. Daichi's foot rested near Bentaro's absent imaginary jurisdiction. Recovery Girl said "Medical possible. not necessary" Ren nodded. He had expected that. He looked at the field. Do not clump. Do not scatter. Do not chase. Do not freeze. Being known is a hazard.
Stationary is not finished. Shape held. The first stage would not care that he had been abducted. It would care that he had targets. It would care that he could be hit. It would care that other candidates might look at a chair and think easy. He wanted to test that. He also wanted proof. Proof was dangerous. Map. Gym Gamma. chair. vest. field. Shinso. class. left wrist. shoulder. ribs. fear. want. proof temptation. map present. He spoke before anyone asked.
"I want to enter. condition. one-minute role. no central command. chair mobility only unless stabilization needed. no Graft Lattice bracing unless target hit would cause unsafe chair movement. if gate spreads, stop. if I lose two targets, I exit" Recovery Girl's eyes narrowed.
"Add no sharp pivot after brace" Ren nodded.
"No sharp pivot after brace" Aizawa looked at Shinso.
"Pair?" Shinso looked at Ren.
"You want me in?" Ren breathed.
"Yes. shape caller. not shield" Shinso nodded.
"Accepted. My condition. If they swarm you, I call shape and class adjusts. I do not become wall" Ren said "Accepted" Aizawa looked at Class 1-A.
"Third run. Ren enters. Shinso remains shape caller. Class 1-B will target Ren as visible weak point once during the run. Your job is not to panic. Your job is not to form a wall around him. Your job is to preserve group shape and make their targeting expensive" The room went very still. Bakugo's face changed. Kirishima's shoulders tensed. Midoriya's hands tightened. Uraraka looked at the chair. Todoroki looked at the routes. Iida inhaled. Aizawa cut across all of them.
"If you become a human fence, you fail" Bakugo growled. Ren looked at the class.
"My public summary" Aizawa nodded. Ren spoke clearly.
"My mobility and contact limits are operational boundaries, not invitations. If I stop, route continues through teammates or position change. Do not assume stationary means finished. Do not become shield unless assigned" The room held the words. Shinso added "No one becomes shield" Class 1-A answered in pieces.
"No one becomes shield" Aizawa nodded.
"Begin" The buzzer sounded. For the first twenty seconds, Class 1-B did not target Ren. That was worse. They let Class 1-A anticipate. Waiting became pressure. Ren moved along the rear-left corridor, not center, not far edge. Shinso moved middle-rear, keeping line of sight. Iida led right flank. Midoriya and Uraraka maintained left pressure. Bakugo and Kirishima stayed forward but not detached. Yaoyorozu, Jiro, Sero, and Todoroki held center shape. Kaminari and Mina rotated cover. Class 1-B attacked the edges.
Tokage pressured Uraraka. Komori made center cover bad. Tetsutetsu pushed toward Bakugo and forced him to choose whether to chase impact. He did not. Good. Monoma watched Ren. Ren saw him. Good. The attack came from three directions. Monoma's voice first.
"Surely U. A. will protect its most delicate piece" Pony's horn target ball curved from above. Tokage's detached hand came low. Kendo shifted toward the middle to make Class 1-A think she would cut off support. The room almost broke. Almost. Shinso called "Shape. no wall" Kirishima's body had already loaded toward Ren. He stopped. Good. Midoriya's foot shifted. Uraraka touched his sleeve. He stopped. Good. Todoroki's ice began forming too wide. He narrowed it. Good. Bakugo did the worst and best possible thing.
He moved forward. Not toward Ren. Toward Monoma. Monoma smiled. Bait. Bakugo blasted low and angled not at Monoma, but at the floor between Monoma and the lane he wanted. Dust and air pressure broke the visual line for half a second.
"Not your route!" Bakugo shouted Crude. Useful. Ren reversed. Pony's horn ball missed the back target by centimeters. Tokage's hand adjusted and threw low toward the chair-side target. Ren could pivot hard. No sharp pivot after brace. He did not brace. He let the side target take the hit. One target lost. Pain present. No gate.
"Side lost. not finished" Shinso repeated "Side lost. not finished" Class 1-A held. Kendo's eyes sharpened. She threw toward Ren's shoulder target through the opening Bakugo's blast had left. Good throw. Too good. Ren's chair could reverse but would expose back. Side already lost. Shoulder incoming. If shoulder lost, two targets gone. exit condition. He could accept exit. Or brace. The ball came.
He lifted his left forearm to the chair arm, not blocking the ball, using a half-second Graft Lattice brace to make a controlled chair shift without sharp pivot. Pain. Gate. Patch pulse.
"Stop" The chair shifted just enough. The ball grazed shoulder target, did not detach. Aizawa's hand tightened around the stopwatch. Recovery Girl leaned forward. Ren reported while moving back.
"Gate local. shoulder target grazed. no sharp pivot. map present" Shinso said "Shape holds. do not collapse around him" Kaminari, who had been moving toward Ren without realizing, stopped and redirected right.
"Right cover shifting!" Good. Mina filled the gap.
"Left noise clear!" Sero laid tape across a lane but did not trap Ren's route. Yaoyorozu called "Rear-left remains open" Good. Class 1-B adapted. Awase blocked the rear-left escape with a quick welded panel contact on the movable cover. Ren's route closed. For one second, the entire field wanted to turn toward him. Shinso saw it.
"Do not freeze. route change" Iida answered immediately.
"Alternate return through center-left" Todoroki created a small ice lip, not a wall, opening a controlled path. Uraraka floated a debris piece to cover the crossing angle. Midoriya did not sprint. He held position and threw at Tokage's main body to reduce pressure. Hit. Tokage laughed.
"Good restraint, Midoriya!" He looked startled by praise and almost got hit. Asui snapped "Map later. move now" He moved. Ren took the center-left path. The gate stayed narrow. Pain present. One target lost. Shoulder grazed. Back intact. Timer twenty seconds. Monoma tried one more line.
"If the chair is not finished, perhaps the boy in it is" The gym froze for half a heartbeat. Too far? Maybe. Kendo's face snapped toward him. Monoma's eyes widened as he realized the line had crossed from educationally unpleasant into something uglier. Before Kendo could hit him, Ren spoke.
"Correction" The field did not stop. That mattered. Monoma swallowed while moving.
"Correction. I targeted the chair as symbol instead of candidate role. Improper" Ren threw one soft ball from his side pouch. Monoma, busy correcting, failed to dodge. It hit his chest target. Silence broke into something like collective disbelief. Ren said "Candidate role" Bakugo laughed once, sharp and delighted.
"Idiot got shot by accountability" Aizawa shouted "Language" Kurose wrote nothing because her shoulders were shaking suspiciously. Timer ended. The buzzer sounded. Targets lost: Ren one lost. Shinso none. Class 1-A total seven lost. Class 1-B total eight lost. No eliminations. Class 1-A shape held under Ren being targeted. Ren had not been protected as a fragile object. He had been included as a moving piece. Aizawa called "End" Recovery Girl said "Map" Ren closed his eyes.
"Gym Gamma. chair. side target lost. shoulder grazed. left wrist gate local. shoulder braced half-second. ribs quiet. no sharp pivot. pain present. route changed. shot Monoma. map present" Recovery Girl's mouth twitched.
"Acceptable. Do not make shooting Monoma a treatment goal" Monoma, still holding his chest target, lifted one hand.
"I object to medical prejudice" Kendo said "You earned it" Aizawa looked at Shinso.
"Map""Gym Gamma. throat mild strain. collar helpful. no Quirk activation. shape calls effective. wanted to become wall once. did not. map present" Ren looked at him.
"Once?" Shinso shrugged.
"When rear-left closed" Ren nodded.
"Same" Aizawa looked at Class 1-A.
"What held?" Iida answered first.
"Shape call" Yaoyorozu added "Predefined alternate route" Uraraka said "No shield rule" Midoriya said "Saying side lost. not finished kept me from moving" Kirishima looked down.
"I almost went wall" Bakugo said "You stopped" Kirishima nodded.
"Yeah" Bakugo looked toward Ren.
"Letting the side target go was right" Ren nodded.
"Yes""Still ugly""Yes""Good" Shinso muttered "Bakugo feedback language remains primitive but functional" Bakugo turned.
"Say that again""No power if words work""Then run" Aizawa said "No running after successful group shape" Kaminari whispered "That is a sentence" Jiro whispered "It really is" Vlad King crossed his arms.
"Class 1-A adapted better when protecting shape instead of protecting the person" Kendo nodded.
"Ren became harder to target once everyone stopped treating him like the center of the attack" Monoma recovered enough to add "And once he weaponized my self-correction" Kurose looked at him.
"Learn from that""I am trying. It is terrible" Ren looked at Monoma.
"Good correction" Monoma froze. Then bowed with actual restraint.
"Thank you" Bakugo muttered "We are rewarding him now?" Kendo said "Only the correction""Still" Aizawa wrote the final lesson on the board. HUNTED DOES NOT MEAN ALONE Then beneath it: ALONE DOES NOT MEAN UNSUPPORTED Ren stared at the second line. His wrist stayed quiet. Good. Shinso looked at it too. Silence. No wall. No shield. No bait without saying it. Support did not have to mean surrounding someone until they could not move. Support could be shape. Route. A repeated sentence. A held lane.
A refusal to panic when someone became visible. Class ended with target checks and too much hydration. Recovery Girl insisted that every student who had worn a target vest map one place they had accepted a hit instead of making a worse move. This produced several useful answers and one from Kaminari that began with "my dignity" and was rejected. Ren returned to his room and slept for thirty minutes. Not collapse. Sleep.
When he woke, Hana was reading quietly beside him and Daichi was adjusting the temporary paper under the blank plaque because one corner had curled. Ren watched him.
"Still temporary" Daichi nodded.
"Still yours" Ren breathed. On his board, he added: HUNTED DOES NOT MEAN ALONE Then, after a moment: ALONE DOES NOT MEAN UNSUPPORTED The second line felt different. He had spent so long imagining support as someone beside him, holding him, catching him, seeing too much. Today support had been a shape that let him move without becoming center. That mattered. Across the wing, Shinso added the same two lines to his small board. Then stared at them. Alone does not mean unsupported.
He hated how quickly the sentence found old rooms. He placed the board back on the desk. Not wall. Still desk. At dinner, Ren came to the common room for seven minutes and ten seconds. Not because seven was a goal. Because six twenty had counted and seven ten happened before the patch pulsed. He left at seven ten. No one clapped. Kaminari whispered "Seven ten" Jiro stepped on his foot. He whispered "Privately" Bakugo said "Numbers are getting ugly in a new way" Ren looked at him.
"Good?" Bakugo shrugged.
"Harder to predict" Ren nodded.
"Good" Shinso sat at the edge with barley tea. Monoma's line came up once because Sero asked how hard Kendo had hit him afterward. Kendo said "Appropriate force" and everyone accepted that as justice. Later, after dinner, Midoriya stood near the hallway board and wrote one line on a shared practice sheet. If they expect me to break formation for rescue-looking bait, I confirm route and call support. Uraraka added: If they expect me to float first and ask later, I ask first.
Todoroki added: If they expect large ice, I choose proportion. Bakugo stared at the sheet. Then wrote: If they expect chase, I choose angle. He walked away before anyone reacted. Kirishima looked at the line like it was a sacred artifact. Aizawa passed by.
"Do not worship the sheet" Kirishima lowered his hands.
"I was not""You were close""Yes, sir" The dorms quieted late. The exam date stayed on the common board. The target vests hung in storage. Class 1-A slept under the knowledge that being known would hurt them if they let old habits answer first. Ren slept with one target loss in memory and no shame attached to it yet. Shinso slept with no Quirk activation and shape held. Bakugo slept badly because strategy had become more interesting than anger wanted to admit. Midoriya slept with the notebook closed on his desk.
Aizawa filed the report before midnight. Third run. Class 1-A maintained flexible shape while Provisional Track candidate Ren Akiyama was deliberately targeted as perceived weak point. Group resisted clumping and shielding behavior. Candidate Akiyama accepted one target loss rather than unsafe pivot, maintained map, and used stationary misread effectively. Candidate Shinso preserved group shape through concise calls without Quirk activation. Pair and class demonstrated improved response to visibility pressure.
He paused. Then added one line. Recommendation: continue integration. He stared at it. Then saved the file. In the quiet after training, after boards and signs and target vests, after public shapes and corrected habits, one truth remained useful enough to keep. The world might hunt what it thought it knew. Let it. Known was not finished. Visible was not captured. Alone was not unsupported. And U. A. was finally learning how to make being hunted expensive.
