Lucas gently stroked her face; he was proud that she made this decision.
"I will go with you, and wait outside." She took a deep breath, then nodded faintly. It didn't take long to get there; they both stepped out of the car. Allison glanced at him one more time, then walked towards the house. When she entered the house, Kate was standing there, waiting for her.
"You've arrived." Allison didn't speak and just looked at her. Kate didn't mind and gestured for her to follow. Kate soon led her through a narrow underground tunnel; they finally stopped when they approached a steel door. Kate turned towards Allison with a smile, then gestured towards the door.
"All families have a secret, but ours is a little different." Kate grinned, then opened the door slowly; the room was dark, only the light from the moon made it slightly visible. Allison slowly followed Kate in; she could see a silhouette tied to the steel bars. Then Kate turned on the light towards that figure; Derek roared at her, his cold blue eyes were filled with hatred. Allison's eyes widened. Learning and seeing up close were two different things; Derek's visible fangs and his shifted face were terrifying.
"Want to see a more interesting thing?" Kate observed Allison with a smile, then, without giving her a chance to react, she turned on the electricity on Derek.
"Ahhgg." Derek's body trembled constantly; the pain was horrifying to bear.
"Stop!" Allison quickly stopped the electricity; her eyes were in disbelief at what Kate was doing. This tale has been unlawfully lifted without the author's consent. Report any appearances on Amazon. Then she closed her eyes for a second.
'Lucas was right.'
"It's just a little electricity, sweetheart." Allison didn't even look at her anymore and stormed out. Kate looked at her back, then gazed at Derek.
"Well… that didn't go as planned." Derek gritted his teeth and looked at her with a forced smile.
"Maybe she's just not a psychopath like you." Kate raised her eyebrows slightly, then spoke with a fake expression on her face.
"Darling, you're breaking my heart." Allison on the other hand walked hurriedly towards the car; every step she took felt heavy. A tear fell from her eyes. It wasn't for Derek, but for Kate. The hope that she had died in that moment; the worst part was that Kate may have done worse things. When she got outside, Lucas was already there waiting for her. She didn't say anything and plunged straight into his arms. Lucas grabbed her tightly while stroking her back.
He closed his eyes for a moment; he knew that from this day on, a part of her innocence would forever be gone. The two didn't speak at all; he knew that all she needed now was for him to be there for her. After staying in his arms for a few minutes, Allison went into the car with a still dazed look on her face. Lucas briefly glanced at a spot in the dark, then got in the car and drove away. Observing that they really left, the figure in the dark went down into the basement.
Kate looked at the man in front of her and asked:"Well?"
"Someone else was there; it was a boy." Kate instantly thought of who it might be.
"It must be Lucas Ashford."
"Do you need us to take care of him?" The man looked at her indifferently. Kate raised an eyebrow at what he said.
"Take care of him? No. He might, in turn, take care of you." The man didn't care about her sarcasm.
"We should tell 'him' about Ashford." Kate rolled her eyes, then turned her back on him.
"I don't want the old man sniffing around here yet." On the other side, Lucas and Allison arrived at his place. Allison turned her head towards him and spoke in a low tone.
"Can I stay here a bit longer?"
"Of course, let's go." Lucas gave her a gentle smile; then both went upstairs to his room. When they lay in bed, Lucas pulled her into his arms. Feeling his warm embrace, Allison slowly closed her eyes. Two hours passed by. Allison's eyes trembled slightly, then she slowly woke up. She turned her head and looked at him; she smiled after seeing his peaceful expression. As if sensing something, Lucas's eyes opened too. He gazed at her and spoke:"Feeling better?"
"Yes." Allison nodded slightly; after spending some time with him, her sadness faded a little. Then both of them got up. Allison knew she needed to go home because it was already late. Lucas walked her to the car; watching her leave, he waved at her slightly. When he turned around, Malia was watching him from behind.
"You're hungry again?" Lucas knew that he wouldn't get an answer, so he went to the kitchen and brought her some meat.
