Chương 12: Finding The Body

"I was thinking about the murder that happened. From what I heard, they only found the upper body." Then, with a look of concern, she leaned more and asked, "What do you think did that to the girl?"

"Maybe a mountain lion." He said this knowing it's much worse than that.

"But you don't have to worry." He said with a smile, as he watched her troubled face. She looked at him, throwing a confused look.

"Because I will not let anyone hurt you." He smiled as he watched her stunned expression. Looking at Lucas, she smiled and said teasingly, "Thank you, my shining knight." He smiled at her teasing, but in his mind he warned himself to be careful of Peter.

"Just be careful at night, even if you're driving and something hits your car, don't get outside." He warned her with a serious face. Looking at him being so serious, she nodded with a smile, but not before realizing he might know something. As the two were talking, the teacher seemed to notice it.

"Do the two of you need privacy?" he asked in a sarcastic tone. Lucas and Allison shook their heads and focused on the lecture. ===== In another place deep in the forest, Scott was heading out to finally find some answers. Soon he arrived at what seemed to be an abandoned house, partially burned, unsuitable for anyone living in it.

"DEREK" "I KNOW YOU ARE THERE" "COME OUT" Scott shouted in anger and frustration because since that night everything changed. Soon enough, Derek stepped out of the house, with a cold look on his face, unbothered by Scott's anger.

"It was you… that night, am I right?!"

"The one that bit me."

"What did you do to me?" Seeing Derek closing the distance, he shouted once more. A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. Looking at the furious Scott, Derek answered calmly.

"Is it really that bad, Scott?"

"Now you are faster and stronger than you ever were."

"You made me a monster." Scott looked at him coldly, not wanting to admit that he was right.

"I gave you a gift, Scott." He added confidently.

"I just want to have a normal life, just like everybody else." Scott finished by saying this as he turned around, leaving in anger. As he was walking, he noticed a weird place, something seemed to be buried there. Sniffing, he realized it was the smell of blood. Soon he was far from the old house. He then called Stiles, telling him that he may have found the body. After half an hour, Scott met with Stiles in front of the school. Running towards him, Stiles excitedly asked, "You really found the body?!"

as he was looking around to make sure no one heard them. Seeing the excited look on Stiles's face, he then proceeded to tell him what happened at the house.

"I told you that you were a werewolf, no one changes like you overnight, suddenly becoming this strong and agile." He remarked with exasperation, as he researched a lot to help him and didn't get one thank you. Scott scratched his head, knowing that before he may have reacted a bit excessively towards him.

"Stiles! Dead body… focus." Scott quickly changed the subject. Stiles blinked for a second, then quickly straightened up, forcing himself to focus.

"Right—right. Dead body." He leaned closer, lowering his voice, though his eyes were still filled with excitement.

"So… where is it?" Scott glanced around briefly before answering.

"Near an old burned house… in the woods."

"Scott, we need to go to confirm that the body is really there." Looking at the excited Stiles, he replied with hesitation.

"I don't know, Stiles… it's better to just tell your dad."

"Are you mad? We need to do this, think about it, once we find the body, this can prove that Derek killed her, and then he gets arrested, and he can't bother you anymore." Hearing this, Scott was finally convinced. He really didn't want to have Derek around. Then the two of them decided to go at night, to make sure Derek wasn't there. As Scott and Stiles were planning to find the body and get Derek arrested, Lucas finished another class with Allison.

As they were walking, she suddenly asked him,"Do you want me to get you a lift? I can ask my dad to drop you at your house."

"Don't worry, I can walk home on foot, hmm… maybe I should buy a car." He replied, thinking that a car would be useful, as he cannot always walk where he wants to go.

"Okay, then maybe in the future you could drive me home." She gave him a smile as they walked out of the school. Soon she saw her dad arriving.

"My dad is here, see you tomorrow." Allison gave him a smile, then ran towards the car. Lucas waved at her as he watched her enter the car. He then started moving again, heading back home. It was already dark, so he was not keen on staying outside too long. Walking a distance from school, he soon spotted Stiles and Scott loading something in Stiles's truck. He then focused his hearing on their conversation, "Stiles, I'm still not sure this is a good idea, digging for a body in the middle of the night…"

"Dude, don't be such a wuss, everything's gonna be fine." Stiles responded dismissively. Hearing what the two of them were talking about, Lucas became interested. Soon, he watched them drive away towards the forest. Thinking for a few seconds, he then changed his walking direction.

'I definitely need a car'.
