Chương 36: Revelation

At that moment Allison grabbed his hand. Looking into her watery eyes, he saw a hint of pleading in them. Lucas' other hand gently caressed her face, her tense body relaxing, now reassured he would not go further. She looked into his eyes, at that moment she felt like they were the only ones in the world. She bit her lower lip as she looked at his lips. She felt her heart racing, and an electrifying feeling spreading with his every touch.

Seeing her dazed look, Lucas gave her a kiss on her lower lip, slowly moving down, kissing her cheek, then moving to her neck. Allison moaned slightly when she felt his warm touch on her neck, she clasped his hand harder while enjoying his every touch. After twenty minutes, both stopped. Allison laid her head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat. Lucas gently caressed her hair, the two of them enjoying the quiet moment with each other. Allison opened her eyes, then looked at his face with hesitation.

"How is this possible?" She looked at him in shock, asking in a trembling tone.

"I'm not a normal human, Allison." His voice sounded calm as he responded. Hearing this, Allison was even more confused.

"You are…" Seeing her about to say something, he nodded just to freeze at her next line.

"You are a vampire?!" His face twitched slightly, not expecting her to say this. He gave her a helpless look, though her guess was not far off.

"I'm not a vampire." He could only helplessly glance at her. Allison was a little embarrassed, her answer may have been over the top.

"If I was a vampire, do you think by now you'd be safe?" He briefly glanced at her neck. She touched her neck remembering what happened, then glanced at his scars again.

"Then what do you mean?" Lucas took a deep breath as he started explaining.

"I'm stronger, faster, and more resilient than any normal human being. I am a supernatural being." Hearing this, Allison went silent. She tried denying in her head that it was all fake, but she saw his injury with her own eyes. She looked at him, not knowing if she should be afraid or not, she only felt his gaze calming her down. She breathed in and out slowly as she hesitantly asked:"Supernatural beings as in those that hurt humans?" Lucas shook his head for a second, but then stopped and nodded.

His actions made her even more confused, seeing this he explained.

"No, there are even those that protect normal humans, or keep a balance in the world." Her tense expression relaxed slightly, seeing this Lucas could only helplessly scare her more.

"But…" She tensed again hearing this, awaiting him to continue.

"But there are still many who kill people, just like normal humans." She instantly guessed what he meant by saying "just like normal humans." Although she was still shocked, her mind relaxed a little. She opened her mouth a few times, then closed it. Looking at this, Lucas gave her a teasing smile. Seeing this, it made her heart relax more, Lucas was still the person she knew, not evil or something like that.

"Were you born like this?" Taking the courage, she asked. One of the reasons she could remain relatively calm was because she didn't see him becoming a monster, just his healing ability being abnormal. He shook his head and responded:"No, for some reason I became like this a couple months ago. Only when I came here did I learn more about the supernatural beings." She was surprised by his answer, meaning he was still normal not long ago. Then she quickly asked as she remembered something.

"Wait, is this the reason why my dad told me to stay away from you?" He raised an eyebrow at her question, then responded:"No, if your father knew what I am, maybe he'd try to kill me." As she heard this, Allison's expression froze. Not knowing if he was joking, she tentatively asked:"You must be kidding, why would he do that?" Lucas looked at her thoughtfully for a second, then replied:"Because…"
