"I don't know what you are talking about." Lucas smiled nonchalantly, not bothered if they believed him. Lucas didn't really gain anything from telling Stiles and Scott that he was a hunter, not now at least, and his ability was not based on gaining the trust of the original main characters. Well, the hunter part isn't really that important—the darker side is. Stiles looked at the unbothered Lucas like he wanted to punch him in the face.
Scott's shoulders dropped, and he asked, "Lucas, if you know something, please tell us." Lucas looked at Stiles, who was gritting his teeth, and the pleading Scott, and responded.
"Scott, I want you to understand something. Tomorrow night is going to be a full moon. You need to control your transformation, but if you're going to be on the field that night playing, I can only wish you good luck." Lucas told them with a serious expression, then, looking at Stiles' face, he added something else.
"And good luck to Stiles."
"Good luck for me? Why?" Stiles pointed his finger at himself in confusion. Lucas raised a smile while responding deviously, "Well, because you're going to be among the first he's gonna tear apart." Stiles was stunned by his answer, then he looked at Scott beside him. Imagining the sight of this happening, he trembled. Scott, on the other hand, was not happy at all. He looked at the scared Stiles and responded helplessly, "Stiles! I'm not gonna tear you apart."
Lucas laughed happily at this scene and continued, "Relax, this is just a game. If you miss one, it isn't that much of a big problem. If you go through the first full moon, the rest will be easier." Scott hesitantly replied, "But the coach said that he will put me back on the bench if I don't play, and my mom will come to watch the match." Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval. Report sightings. Lucas then gave Scott his final advice.
"With the skills you've shown, there's no way he would do that, and you need to start worrying more about you killing your mother than her being disappointed by not watching you play lacrosse." The reason Lucas was so insistent on advising Scott was for one reason—that's because he saw that Scott didn't have a relationship with Allison anymore. On the other hand, this could be good, as he could think more with his brain than his hormones, but this also meant he lost his original anchor.
So he could not be sure what would happen if Scott played that night. But there was a thought, a dark one that appeared more than once—to let it happen, to let Scott play that game, and let him shapeshift in front of everyone. So that he could hunt him, and kill him. Lucas' gaze sharpened, and without realizing, he was staring at Scott's neck. Scott, still having an internal conflict about what he told him, suddenly shivered and looked at Lucas. Lucas quickly regained his composure while smiling slightly.
Thinking he just imagined things, Scott shook his head. Then, as if he made a decision, he spoke.
"I will not play tomorrow night. I can't put my mom in danger." Lucas nodded. Stiles, on the side, let out a sigh of relief. He was happy that his friend would not risk playing, and a little happy for himself. Lucas then said goodbye and turned around, wanting to leave.
"Wait!" Scott grabbed him as if he remembered something.
"How can I go through the full moon?" Lucas pondered, then answered, "Pain is a good method to keep your composure, and thinking of someone you love may help." Lucas looked at Stiles, then added, "I don't mean Stiles, of course." Stiles, trying to process the previous statement, was hit by this attack by surprise. Scott thought about this, and he could only think of his mom, the person he loved most. Seeing him realizing something, Lucas nodded and left.
After walking a couple of minutes, he arrived at the hallway, which was already filled with students. In the distance, he saw Allison staring at her locker blankly. Allison frowned as she recalled her conversation with her father this morning. ======= A few hours ago. Chris looked at his daughter with hesitation, not knowing how to tell her to stay away from Lucas. Allison, noticing him wanting to say something, asked, "What's the matter, Dad?" Chris took a breath and spoke.
"Are you close to that boy?" Allison frowned, instinctively thinking about what happened last night and what Lucas told her.
"Why are you asking this, Dad?" Chris looked at his daughter, who avoided answering, then spoke again.
"Sweetheart, I think it's better if you don't hang around him anymore." Allison was stunned by his statement. She now realized that something was being kept from her, and it had to do with Lucas, or at least his family. She looked at her father and asked, "Why? What are you not telling me?" Chris' face was conflicted, but just for a moment. Then his expression hardened, and now he spoke with a tone that did not accept refusal.
"I need you to promise me that you will do as I say." Allison stared in disbelief at her father, who seemed to not want to hear "no" for an answer. She struggled visibly, confused, not knowing what to say. Then, after a few seconds, as if she made up her mind, she responded.
"….."
