The moment he heard that roar, Lucas immediately thought of Peter. He frowned as he tried to recall what happened in the original future.
"Could it be…" Lucas thought of the full moon and what kind of events happened afterward. The only thing that came to mind was the bus driver getting attacked by the Alpha. While thinking about this incident, he kept driving toward his house. That's right, he changed direction to the opposite side, driving straight home. If Peter was there, it would be a stupid decision to go and take a look. His worry about Peter lessened as he grew stronger, but that didn't mean he could confront him now.
Even when he fought the skinwalker, he was more or less prepared, and it was weaker than its full strength. Lucas looked thoughtfully in the direction of the school.
"Every action has consequences." He muttered under his breath, unknown to whom he was referring. After arriving, he parked his car in the driveway and then got out. He looked around, listening for anyone nearby. After glancing around a few more times, he turned and entered the house. He made his way to the kitchen, ate some food, then took a shower and went to bed. While Lucas was sleeping, unbothered by what was happening, the school parking lot was far from peaceful. A wailing voice echoed from the school bus.
The man looked ahead of him, covered in blood and begging.
"Please, please don't kill me!" His eyes were desperate as he looked at the terrifying beast in front of him. Standing tall on its feet, fur covered its body, with claws that could rip through metal. The beast, with its deep red eyes, looked ferociously at the man, a slight smirk seeming to form on its lips. Then it let out a resounding roar from its mouth, shaking the bus and traveling far into the distance.
Not long after, someone came in. It was the transformed Scott, his yellow eyes glowing with ferocity. Seeing him arrive, the beast continued playing with the bus driver. The moment Scott saw this, without a second thought, he tried to stop him. A glint flashed in the Alpha's eyes as he swept with his right hand, slamming Scott into the distance. A grunt of pain escaped Scott's mouth. The beast looked at him and roared in fury, ripping out a bus seat and throwing it right at him.
The seat flashed before his eyes, then everything went dark. Scott's eyes opened with panic in them, then relief when he saw his room.
"So it was just a dream…" He muttered as he raised his hand, touching his face. As he touched his face, Scott froze. He felt a sticky wet sensation. Looking at his hands, they were covered in blood. Panic spread throughout his body, making him breathe more heavily. An hour later, inside Stiles' car, Scott was explaining his dream and how he woke up.
"So let me get this straight, you dreamed of attacking someone on the bus, then you woke up with blood all over you?" Stiles said with a confused expression on his face. Scott nodded.
"Maybe you caught a rabbit or something."
"And did what?" Scott looked at him in confusion.
"Ate it." Stiles responded, giving his suggestion.
"Raw?!" Scott replied, shocked by his words.
"No, you stopped and baked it." Stiles replied sarcastically, rolling his eyes at him. The moment they arrived at school, both of them were stunned. Police cars were all around, circling the school bus. They quickly got out of the car and approached to see what was going on. When Scott looked at the bus, he was stunned. Inside, it was completely wrecked, with splattered blood visible everywhere.
"Well, now at least you know it wasn't just a dream." Stiles looked at the bus, then at Scott, and spoke in an awkward tone. Scott gave him a speechless look, then turned around and walked away in silence. Stiles quickly followed him. On the other side of the school, Lucas arrived too. He frowned as he looked around, his nose twitching after smelling blood nearby. Before he could think further about it, he spotted Allison in the distance getting out of her father's car.
After seeing her father leave, she noticed Lucas and made her way toward him. Lucas smiled as he watched her approach, waiting for her. After arriving in front of him, Allison wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him. Lucas embraced Allison by the waist, pulling her closer to him.
"Good morning." She said with a smile, letting go of his lips.
"Good morning." He gently replied while still hugging her. He then took her hand and walked toward the school. While walking, they kept hearing students talking about the bus incident. Lucas looked thoughtful, recalling last night's roar.
