Allison then got out of the car; she glanced through the window at him one more time before leaving. After walking a few steps, Allison entered her house. She then walked towards the stairs to head to her room. Seeing her arriving, Victoria called for her.
"Honey, dinner is ready." Breaking from her silence, Allison answered briefly: "I'm not hungry, Mom." Then she walked up the stairs and entered her room. Victoria looked at her back; she frowned, seeing that her daughter was troubled by something, then remembered something and went back into the kitchen. As Allison entered her room, she released a deep breath. Allison put her school bag on the table and collapsed on her bed. She buried her face deep in the pillows.
Soon, from her room, only some sounds were coming before falling into deep silence. Lucas, on the other hand, was driving.
"I wonder what to eat when I get home." His face was in deep thought, considering his options. His previous attitude was gone, as if it was only an illusion. After driving for some time, he arrived home. The workers were still doing their job; he spoke a few words with the project manager, then headed towards his room. All the doors were replaced by now; even a new heavy metal door was placed for the basement room. All that remained was the exterior and the windows; yes, he changed them too.

By tomorrow, the work would be done; he breathed a sigh of relief when he heard the manager saying that. Lucas entered his room, took a shower, then went into the kitchen to eat something. He opened his fridge; he saw only a couple of things.
"I seriously need to do groceries." He then grabbed some pizza leftovers and started eating.
"Man, I really need to visit Allison's house more often." As he was eating, he thought of Victoria's cooking.
"I'm sure they will not mind." He mumbled as he finished the last piece. He then headed back to his room and closed the door. Lucas took the bestiary from the table; he sat down on the bed and started reading it. After a few hours, he started rubbing his eyes, tired from the reading. He then looked up at the window and saw that the workers had already left.
"Finally." He muttered, already tired from all the waiting. He then put the book away and sat cross-legged on the bed. Lucas frowned as he started imagining that he was shapeshifting, then looked at his hands—and nothing.
"Could it be that anger is really the best emotion?" Then he shook his head, denying that; he needed to control himself, not let his emotions control him. As time passed by, Lucas thought of a few methods before focusing on imagining his transformation. An hour later, suddenly he opened his eyes, which were now golden. He looked at his hands—claws appeared. He felt his teeth sharpen, even his senses heightened; he could hear sounds kilometers away from his house.
The more he immersed himself in this feeling, the more exhilarated he felt; his eyes were shining, and he felt power throughout his body. Then anger started to materialize in his heart; emotions that he wanted to control started pouring out. Lucas grabbed his head in pain. Then, as if enlightened, he remembered a mantra. He hurriedly began meditating as he spoke.
"Three things cannot long be hidden: the sun, the moon, the truth,""Three things cannot long be hidden: the sun, the moon, the truth." Lucas repeated this mantra over and over; after a few minutes, he felt his nerves calming down. Joy appeared on his face as he continued meditating. After half an hour, his form started disappearing, the claws slowly receding and his golden eyes fading. Lucas opened his eyes; a smile appeared on his face.
"I managed to do it." Then he focused, trying to repeat his transformation again. This time, it only took half the time to shapeshift; then he focused on meditating as he maintained his form. His emotions were quickly suppressed before having time to explode; he then continued meditating.
"Three things cannot long be hidden: the sun, the moon, the truth." After maintaining his form for some time, Lucas then decided to turn back. Then Lucas repeated this over and over for a couple more hours. It was already midnight by the time Lucas finished; his progress was astounding. He could now transform in just a moment and control his emotions by meditating in his mind. With a tired face, Lucas smiled, genuinely happy about his results. Then he happily went to sleep.
