Lucas watched as cracks started spreading from her heart, it was like she was made from earth. The skinwalker gave Lucas one last look before crumbling into dust, then the wind swept her into the air, as if taking her to her final place of rest. Lucas watched this process coldly before his legs gave away, forcing him to kneel to the ground. He felt, with every breath he took, a piercing pain, like having needles in his lungs. He steadied himself with the spear while eagerly awaiting what was to come.
Not having a chance to think more, an agonizing pain spread through his body as an ancient force ravaged his insides. Lucas hugged his head in pain as white lines appeared all over his body, deeply fusing with him. He never felt this kind of pain before, every bone in his body felt broken, like being reconstructed by a higher power. Then all of the pale white lines gathered towards his eyes, Lucas' head rose to the sky as a deep thunderous roar emerged from him.
The forest trembled as gusts of wind swept all over, the ground shook, and cracks spread centered around Lucas. It was like the laws of nature were broken. Lucas' right eye preserved its golden color, the left eye, on the other hand, changed completely. The left eye shined with a cold silver-white glow, displaying an eerie unnatural presence. Faint veins of pale energy spread subtly around the silver eye.
The moment that he roared, it wasn't just the lonely forest that felt his presence, it was all the supernatural beings in Beacon Hills. === Deep within a clinic, in a quiet room, was a man in a wheelchair, half of his face burned. He stared at the window unmoving, as if paralyzed, when the sound of the roar reached this place, his dazed look disappeared as his eyes became ferocious, turning deep red. In another location, an older woman was meditating when her eyes suddenly widened, the color strangely similar to the man from before. Deep within the Beacon Hills forest, inside a cave, a lying coyote suddenly became alert, scanning her surroundings. Her eyes were a beautiful blue color, not one that you'd expect to see in a coyote. Her eyes became clear for a moment, as if thinking, before quickly fading away and going back to sleep.
=== Just as Lucas' roar shook the powerful beings in Beacon Hills, his transformation ended. Lucas gasped, his eyes gradually becoming green again, breathing heavily as he felt his body's condition. He touched the wound on his stomach, he finally felt his body actually healing, albeit very slowly, as if fighting the energy that kept it from healing. Lucas felt his other wounds in a similar situation, if he hadn't used his predatory ability in time on the skinwalker, he would've died slowly and in agonizing pain.
He looked at the spear in his hand, realizing its important value. He then used it as support for his body, Lucas looked around at the wreckage all over the place. Below his feet, cracks spread forward. Lucas ignored everything else and started collecting his guns. After a great effort from his legs, which felt like giving up, Lucas gathered all of his firearms, then proceeded towards his car. Lucas grimaced in pain as he increased his walking pace, he knew that his roar was like a signal.
Lucas didn't want to find out who came first, especially in his sorry state. Not to mention someone stronger like Peter, even someone with low strength like Scott could kill him. After walking for ten minutes, Lucas arrived at his car, joy filled his eyes, as if he saw the most beautiful thing in the world at that moment. He hastily entered, groaning in pain from time to time while moving, the most painful moment was when he sat down.
His wound on the back touched the cold seat, making the muscles on his face contract in pain. Gritting his teeth, Lucas endured it and began driving back home. As Lucas drove through the forest, for a second he lost focus, almost falling asleep. His eyes jolted back open, narrowly avoiding a tree to his right. His eyes were now filled with blood vessels, looking like they were about to explode. He grabbed the steering wheel harder, staring right ahead, not wanting to lose focus. Soon, he drove onto the main road.
Lucas stared ahead while thinking about the skinwalker.
'Did my family kill one so she came for revenge?' Then he shook his head.
'It doesn't matter, what matters is if there's more coming.' Lucas remembered how they stayed in groups, and he was pretty sure the reason he killed it was because the skinwalker was away from its source of power, their sacred place where they were nearly immortal. After driving for some time, Lucas arrived at his house, then parked his car in front of the garage. With some effort, Lucas took the firearms and used the spear for support. As he entered through the door, his eyes were getting heavier by the second.
His hand holding the bag with guns suddenly lost strength, causing the bag to fall to the floor. His eyes were seeing double, then, with a thud, his body fell straight to the floor. Silence filled the house once again. A couple of hours later, there was still no sign of Lucas waking up. Then the sound of the door opening was heard again, as a shadow reflected in the doorway, getting closer towards Lucas.
