Chương 56: Necklace

The day passed by quickly. While Lucas had a peaceful night, other people were not so lucky. In the morning, Derek met up with Scott and Stiles.

"So what the hell happened last night?" Stiles waited eagerly for an answer. Derek's face was full of annoyance.

"The Alpha tried to attack Harris. I almost had him for a second, but he got away. I only got some clues from Harris." Derek then described the drawing he saw that night.

"I think I saw that somewhere." Scott looked confused for a moment, then tried hard to remember where he had seen it. Now both of them stared eagerly at Scott, waiting for him to remember. Then Scott's eyes lit up.

"I remember! I once saw a necklace on Allison with the exact design."

"Good! Now go and get the necklace!" Derek urged him. Hearing this, Scott laughed awkwardly. Maybe Lucas would kill him before the Argents.

"We can't just go to her and ask for it. Besides, don't forget about Lucas." Stiles could only helplessly remind him so that he could calm down.

"So? Just tell him that this could help us find the Alpha!" Scott and Stiles could only look at each other, then they nodded. At least this method would not get them beaten. When the two arrived at school, they quickly searched for Lucas. After 10 minutes they found him. When they saw that Allison was there too, they hesitated for a moment. This novel's true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there. Lucas saw them lurking around, then Scott made a gesture for him to come over.

He curiously made his way towards them.

"What's up?" Stiles then explained what they talked about with Derek and their need for the necklace. Lucas nodded uninterestedly, then grabbed both of them by their arms and dragged them in front of Allison.

"Ask away." Allison looked at him in confusion.

"Is something wrong?"

"These two want something from you." Allison's eyes settled on them. They could only smile awkwardly, then Scott spoke:"We think that your necklace may lead us to the Alpha."

"My necklace? What does it have to do with anything?" She was perplexed by their response, then she listened as Stiles explained what they had talked about with Derek.

"Does this have anything to do with the Hale family's arson?" Lucas pretended to be curious about the subject. Both of them nodded, then Stiles responded:"We think that the owner of that necklace may have something to do with the fire." Allison's eyes widened. She trembled slightly, as if she could fall to the ground at any second, and Lucas quickly grabbed her.

"It was… it was my aunt's necklace. She gave it to me for my birthday…" Her voice shook, trying hard not to think about the implications involved. Stiles' eyes lit up upon hearing the new clue. Before he could ask more, Lucas' gaze stopped him. Allison grabbed the necklace from her neck and gave it to them.

"This…" Stiles could only look at Lucas. Only when he saw that Lucas nodded did he take the necklace. Then both of them left, giving them a moment alone.

"Did you know…?" Allison leaned on the locker while gazing at him. He stared right into her eyes, then nodded.

"I had some doubts."

"Is this why you seemed to be hostile towards my family?" Lucas only stared at her without responding. This gave Allison all the answers she needed. She closed her eyes, leaning against his chest. Lucas gently stroked her head, not bothered by the glances from the passing students. The sound of his heartbeat made her agitated emotions calm down slightly. On the other side of the school, Scott and Stiles brought the necklace to Derek.

"Did you get it?!" Derek looked expectantly at them. Stiles grabbed it from his pocket and showed it to him.

"Allison was the one who gave it to us."

"What?" Derek was perplexed by the situation. Stiles glanced at Scott, then began explaining what happened.

"Kate!" Derek whispered under his breath, gritting his teeth while thinking of that woman. He knew before that she must have been involved somehow, but now he was sure.

"Now what?" Seeing the angry Derek, Stiles couldn't help but ask. Calming down, Derek looked at them.

"Now we need to find the Alpha, or he will continue to wreak havoc." Scott looked hesitantly at them, then whispered:"Do you think Lucas knows something about the Alpha?" Stiles gazed thoughtfully at him. Now that he thought it over, Lucas always seemed to have information they didn't know. Derek struggled internally for a second, then made up his mind and spoke:"Then we need to ask him!" Stiles nodded in agreement.

"We will meet after school. We'll ask him after classes." Derek nodded, then left. Stiles looked at his back, then turned towards Scott.

"Let's go."
