Dear Diary, It has come to my attention that despite responding with 'it was over before I realized it was happening', 'you came so hard you lost control of yourself', and 'here, have another couple to distract your terminally ADHD having ass', Tallulah did not in fact make any reasonable argument that her case winning closing argument regarding 'we should reopen your Maw so we can do sus suicidal skinny dipping in our dreams'.
I mean, she convinced me, yeah, and waking up in a pile of wonderful women who'd spent the previous night literally Reveling in their ability to throw themselves in my metaphoric Maw definitely lowered my guilt about letting them do so, but now I've got a brand new bit of bullshit to work through. I mean, my Maw is real, but it lives in Metaphoric Space, and I'm not sure it or the planet would survive if it were here for any length of time. The...
I'm not sure I should call it 'trauma', but whatever internal shit dickery I've accrued from shattering Tallulah's head like a ripe melon, then having her lick my thighs clean while providing yet another orgasm definitely needs to be addressed. Both because I am painfully aware that fifty percent of my live in lovers would probably look at that exchange and go 'worth' or some shit like that. Worse, only one of those two really seems into the whole sadism and masochism thing.
I'm pretty sure we could get Tallulah to participate, but then I'm pretty sure we could get her to do anything if we really tried, because she seems more 'sex positive Ace' than anything else. Like, she's learned it's an enjoyable evening activity that increases intimacy, not to mention binding her closer to her chosen Deity, but if I gave her the choice of that or board game night, she might choose board games entirely due to the novelty. Then again, I'm not sure she's into novelty, either.
So this evening after listening to my musical kits jam all day, I called them all over to me and asked, "so, do you guys want to put on a concert for your moms and sibs and everybody today?" Their eyes got real wide, like that hadn't even occurred to them, then they looked at one another and had one of those wordless sibling communication moments.
I'm not sure how much of it is Divine Woo, how much is normal fraternal twin sibling interaction, and how much is something related to them being, like the other kits, not quite as chatty as their sisters, but I felt a little envious. I'd experienced that once or twice; not the 'Divine Woo telepathy' thing, but the 'wordless intimate partner communication' thing, and I kinda wished they and I could do that more.
I mean, totally stupid, they're literally in my head and can make me feel what they're feeling if that's what they want, but something about being so in tune with someone that you're past 'finishing their sandwiches' and into 'doesn't even need to start the sentence' is just peak intimacy. As I've noted, I am a bit of a freak for intimacy. Eventually Borysthenis, who'd sort of acted as the 'front woman' for the group when they did something more coordinated, turned to me and said, "not yet."
"You guys want to get your act together first?" They all nodded, smiling.
"Okay then. Just let me know when, so we can set up a little stage or something. Maybe put a cover on the center table and let you use that." Their smiles got bigger; I think they missed being able to walk around on the center table without Marie telling them to get their paws on the floor.
"Oh, and let me know if you need anything. New instruments, costumes, whatever." Borysthenis just tilted her head.
"Costumes?"
"Yeah, like if you all want to dress alike, so you look like part of the same band or something." They looked at one another, then back at me, still obviously confused.
"But... Mawa?" I smiled when they used Menace's old pet name for their mom.
"Yeah, okay, Marie would probably be better for anything clothing related. But just let one of us know, okay?"
"Yes, Mama!" I got a bunch of kit hugs, after which we all stepped down to the Dining Room. Today we had meat filled dumplings in a savory gravy stew, with reconstituted vegetables in the stew. I know the veg were reconstituted, because I'd helped Marie dry them out, and I knew before eating that the meat filling was slow cooked, shredded bear because I'd made about half of them. The savory gravy was all Marie, though.
Still kinda wild that I know I could make something like this if Murder Mittens mysteriously made herself missing. I mean, I wouldn't, because I'd be busy searching for her, but my point, and I definitely had one, was that I'd learned how to turn raw materials into tasty treats. Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
Speaking of tasty treats, apparently somebody'd hopped to Rich Man's Port or Compton, because we had chocolate silk pie for dessert, and Rich Man's Port warm chocolate syrup in cups for dessert. Still not calling that stuff 'cocoa', especially with the kids now getting mugs of something that reminded me more of hot cocoa from back in the day. A bit more heat in the sweet, and no marshmallows or whipped cream, but tasty nonetheless.
In the Bath after dinner, I wound up doing something I never really thought I'd do, but apparently somebody told the collected offspring that Mama was in fact a 'bad donkey'. Which was uncomfortably close to 'Bad Dragon', but since Conrad wasn't around I was pretty sure nobody was gonna be messing with my head like that. Alex and Ria led the collective kid contingent in begging me to tell them war stories. Eventually, with much encouragement from my assorted ladies, I gave in.
I told them the very edited to be kid friendly version of all my big battles. Which made some of them way less exciting or interesting, but after... Well... The whole convincing argument in this case was when I said, "look, girls, I don't want to traumatize you with gory details about all the people I've... Killed." Ria just tilted her head and said, "why would that traumatize us?" Alex chimed in with, "yeah, why not?"
Ria gave her sister a look, but I interrupted potential sororicide by answering, "because kids your age shouldn't be getting exposed to death." Yeah, my brain definitely misses the obvious sometimes. Ria just shook her head and said, "but all of us are already familiar with that." Then she taunted death yet again by turning to Alex and saying, "Well, except Alex."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Ria just shrugged.
"Everyone else here has died, I think. Well, I guess Daya didn't, but she came very close. Even Isnomi did, back when Mama rescued her from Diana's Temple." I shot Menace a look.
"You told them about that?" Then I caught myself.
"Yeah, sisters. Never mind, just," I scanned the rest of them.
"I might have done something kinda majorly illegal and possibly immoral then, so don't tell anybody who's not family, okay?" I got a chorus of 'yes mama' from everybody except Alex, who'd gone quiet. Ria noticed.
"I'm sorry, sister. I didn't mean to upset you. I apologize for doing so." Alex just shook her head.
"You... Not you. I watched the Lancasters kill my mom. My dad. They didn't even bother with me. Just kicked me into a wall and left me for dead." She looked at Daya then.
"I know how you felt, kinda." Daya didn't reply, just floated over and gave her sister a hug. At that point I sighed and said, "That's why I don't want to. I don't want to open up old wounds like that, or give you any new ones." Then Maze kinda shot every argument I ever had against telling my kids about my more violent escapades out of the water when she quietly said, "stories do not have Dragons to tell us that Dragons exist. Stories have Dragons to remind us that Dragons can be fought. Even killed."
"Nah kiww Baby," Menace growled. Maze just rolled her eyes.
"I meant bad Dragons, you dork." Yeah, before they could ask me why I had to choke down laughter about that little bit of inside humor, I started telling them stories. Rescuing Isnomi. Winning the Battle of the Walls. Fighting literal Dragons. Lots of fighting Dragons. I even pulled in a few Shapeshifted tentacles to give them visuals for the Battle of the Bay. They all oohed and aahed and giggled and cheered, especially when I brought a Black Dragon tentacle down from above to splat the Dragon Lich.
Ran out of awake kids long before I ran out of stories, all of them floating around me in a kind of daughter archipelago. The last one to fall asleep was Maze, who'd crept up on me unseen, and glomped me before muzzily muttering, "thank you, Papa." My ladies were already asleep, so I settled in. They decided to stage mock battles in my Maw. Like, total mockeries of battles even. Way more 'foxy boxing' or 'mud wrestling' than anything approaching actual combat.
Funniest thing had to be when Murder Mittens realized how many of the others had 'fallen' to her only to go the way of all things, dissolving in my Maw with the expected climactic consequences. I've never seen a 'what have I done, I regret my actions, I fall upon my own claws in horrified shame' done in pantomime before. My Murder Mittens is not exactly a great actor, but she still tastes great. Woke up feeling some kinda way about thinking that with what passed for my own brain.
Then felt guilty for feeling guilty, because unless all three of my medically inclined ladies were outright lying to me, the only result of said tasty Worship snack was happy Maenad dreams for Murder Mittens. Yeah, I gotta see if Mom and Dad will stop by. Then again, I'm curious what they've been doing this Yule. Not gonna poke 'em or anything, because for all I know they've been seeing if Dad can make a horny hand puppet out of Mom or something equally disturbing when I think of 'Mom' and that imagery in common.
Never thought I'd want my Dad to have a side piece just so I could think about him doing the nasty without feeling weird about it, but with my luck she'd be just as maternal as Mom, and I'd wind up accidentally fantasizing about parental threesomes on the regular. I do not have the time or brain bleach for that, thank you very much.
"So, Kitten?" I asked after taste testing Kitten tonsils. She smiled up.
"Our budding musicians have requested your presence again today." Another day of listening to not jazz. Surprisingly soothing, really.
