Chương 339: Entering the mystic realm

"Hey Zijun, Calm down!" Qiu Yushi jumped back, easily dodging a flying fist at his face and shouted.

"Getting angry too much also isn't good. Besides, we all understand. Ah!" He quickly dodged a kick. The wind stirred by the kick caused some peak Imperials to cough up blood and slam into the walls.

"Shut the hell up!" Bai Zijun roared with veins popping out on his forehead.

"Alright! Aright!!" Qiu Yushi agreed with a grin and dodged another attack before Bai Zijun finally paused.

"Hey, I seem to remember stopping at the spring pavilion in the heaven reflection city a few days ago and I heard that you often went to the pavilion several times in a week and spent the night there sometimes. That is a very unhealthy amount of time to go to a brot…" Qiu Yushi had just begun when an enraged Bai Zijun slammed his fist at him, forcing him to dodge.

"Qiu Yushi! I'll kill you if you say one more word!" Bai Zijun shouted with red eyes after his attack was easily dodged once again.

"You ungrateful guy, I'm giving you some advices to stay healthy for hundreds of years and you're threatening to kill me?"

"Damn you!" Bai Zijun roared furiously. If it wasn't for the fact that he knew he wasn't Qiu Yushi's match, he would've certainly challenged him to a death battle already.

"Alright, fine. I won't speak about that again!" Qiu Yushi raised both his arms in surrender and sighed.

"You don't know how to appreciate good advice at all!" He added. Bai Zijun paused again and breathed heavily, staring at Qiu Yushi coldly.

"If you say one more word, I'll fight you to the death!" He uttered. Qiu Yushi grinned.

"You're getting overworked up. Although you have temper issues, it's not normally this bad. Hmm…" he blinked.

"Could it be because your brother died?" Bai Zijun's eyes turned scarlet again as his sore area was poked, but Qiu Yushi didn't notice that. He continued with a thoughtful expression, "I heard some rumors. Zijun, didn't I tell you just six months ago that Little Lixi would get himself killed someday? To think my prediction would come to pass so quickly! Hehehe, looks like I'm great at predicting the future as well!" He smiled.

"Ah, I'm so good. My talents are almost never ending. Zijun, you must try harder to attain part of my talents. Don't drown yourself in pleasure and- ah!" Qiu Yushi's eyes widened exaggeratedly and he quickly jumped aside, barely dodging a ball of flame that whizzed past his face.

"Heavens! Zijun! That was close! You almost burnt my great hair!" He sighed in exaggerated relief and shouted. Bai Zijun's breathing was ragged as he glared at Qiu Yushi. Flames were nearly spitting out of his eyes. He didn't say a word and simply threw a fist at Qiu Yushi's face. Qiu Yushi screamed loudly.

"Argh! Zijun, are you trying to commit murder?" He dodged a few deadly attacks.

"Help! Someone help! He's trying to commit murder in broad daylight!" He screamed as he dodged several attacks. Long Feng stared in shock at Qiu Yushi's movements. More than the drama they just enacted, he was more shocked at the ease at which Bai Zijun's attacks were dodged. Each attack looked normal, but no peak Imperial here, not even Long Feng could block it. Qiu Yushi might be screaming, but his movements were completely relaxed. Bai Zijun's attacks were unable to even graze his robes.

"Damn you Zijun! You know what? I'll tell you now, you'll also get yourself killed soon with this crazy rage of yours! Damn you!" Qiu Yushi shouted as he dodged a few more attacks. By now, the Dao Heaven Hall was in a mess. The hall itself was a powerful treasure and Bai Zijun's attacks couldn't even shake it, but the disciples inside were in very bad shape.

None of the attacks were directed at them nor did they meet anyone, but the mere shockwaves sent disciples flying around and smashing into the walls while coughing up blood. If it wasn't for the other top ten geniuses blocking some of the attacks and the shockwaves, some of the peak Imperials might've been seriously injured and maybe even lost their lives. The chaos continued for a few more minutes before a strange force shrouded the Dao Heaven Hall and restricted the movements of everyone in the hall. From the peak Imperials to the deities and even Qiu Yushi, everyone was frozen in place. No one could move a single muscle at all. Before they could question what was going on, three figures abruptly appeared in the center of the hall right before the crystal wall that split the hall in two.

As the three people appeared, a faint ripple silently spread through the hall and cleared the remnant of Bai Zijun's energy completely, leaving not a trace behind. The three people who appeared were most certainly wardens of the outer peak. The one in the middle was a person everyone here recognized. The head warden! The three wardens coldly glanced at Qiu Yushi and Bai Zijun, then the one on the left shouted.

"Qiu Yushi! Bai Zijun! How dare you two cause trouble in the Dao Heaven Hall? Do you think you're beyond punishing?" Bai Zijun frowned slightly and didn't respond while Qiu Yushi yawned loudly.

"You're thinking too much! Dear Zijun and I were just having a nice chat and exchanging pointers. You can't make false remarks old man!" He replied leisurely. The warden's face turned grim as he stared at Qiu Yushi.

"You unruly kid, you've gotten more rotten after spending half a year outside? I should throw you into the Discipline hall for a few days so you learn some manners!" Qiu Yushi chucked.

"Wait a minute old man, I never made a single move. All I did was dodge all the while. Unless you've gone blind, you should be able to tell that dear Zijun here has been the only one attacking. How am I also at fault?" The warden wanted to say something but realized that Qiu Yushi was correct and he was lost for words. He could only glare at Qiu Yushi with his face alternating between two colors.

"Enough." The head warden calmly interrupted. He paused his gaze on Qiu Yushi for a few seconds then commented, "You're already close to the mid stage deity realm. You might be the first outer peak disciple to become an Inner disciple as a refined mid stage deity in the past two hundred years." Qiu Yushi didn't speak back this time. It would appear that he was wary of the head warden and only nodded with a serious expression. The head warden then shifted his gaze to Bai Zijun.

"You broke the rules and attacked someone in the Dao Heaven Hall. Once you leave the mystic realm, you will clear five two star missions as punishment." He calmly stated. Bai Zijun's eyes was filled with grievance but he nodded heavily and sent a cold glare at Qiu Yushi. Qiu Yushi smiled innocently and looked away, pushing Bai Zijun's anger to the ceiling.

"We all know why you're gathered here. The serene heaven mystic realm is the best mystic realm in the outer peak and also one of the best in the sect. This opportunity only comes once in a hundred years. There is a reason it is being opened now, and you'll learn exactly why once you're out." The head Warden began calmly with no fluctuations in his voice.

"There are many opportunities inside the mystic realm, including inheritances of Dao realm masters and various treasures. You should all strive to benefit as much as possible while staying alive. No treasure is worth as much as your own lives, so cherish your safety above all."

"The mystic realm will stay open for a month. Although it goes without saying, I must still mention that fighting is allowed but killing each other is strictly forbidden. If anyone is found to have killed another, they will be punished according to the rules."

"The serene heaven mystic realm will now be opened. One month later, you'll all be teleported back here. Good luck to you all." The head warden concluded his speech and stepped aside. The warden standing by his right stepped forward and stood before the crystal wall. Long Feng watched curiously. He recalled that the crystal wall was used to purchase the right to enter the Dao comprehension doors at the far end of the hall. Was there another use to the crystal?

The warden stood before the large crystal wall and took out a token unique to wardens. He placed the token against the wall and made a few complex hand seals. Both the token and the crystal wall lit up brightly, appearing like a colourful liquid was flowing within the crystal. A few seconds later, the wall shook and a large abyss like door appeared before everyone. The flow of natural energy in the hall sped up due to the appearance of the door, raising the excitement of the disciples.

The door was flickering unstably for a few breaths before it stabilized and appeared like a real door. The warden moved out of the way and glanced at the disciples.

"You have a minute. Go!" Bai Zijun and Situ Hong both moved at the same time, appearing before the door. Their speed was simply shocking. Even the other top ten geniuses hadn't reacted yet and they've already reached the door. Just before they entered, a shadow appeared ahead of them and entered the door with a loud laugh.

"Both of you are still too slow!" Bai Zijun and Situ Hong both had dark expressions as Qiu Yushi overtook them before they reacted and went through the door. They exchanged glances and saw the coldness in each other's eyes, then snorted and rushed through the door as well. After them, the other top ten geniuses followed and entered through the door before the peak Imperials all rushed over and began to pour in. The door visibly began to fade slightly and also lose stability as more people went in.

Soon, almost everyone was gone. Long Feng was at the back of the group and he was the very last person to enter the door. As he walked in, he sensed a piercing gaze on his back. His soul shook fiercely from the gaze, but when he looked back, all he saw were the three wardens staring at the door. He frowned and went in as well without giving it much thought immediately. The door warped and vanished immediately after Long Feng stepped in.

The token placed on the crystal wall floated back to the warden's hand and the three wardens stood there for a few minutes in silence. After a few minutes, the head warden turned around to leave. One of the other two wardens suddenly asked, "Head warden, I've heard about the Grand war pavilion's challenge. Is it true?" The head warden paused and didn't reply for a while.

"That's right. It's a challenge between inner peak deities alone." He replied.

"But, why such a challenge now? There is no particular grievance between our two sects."

"There doesn't have to be a reason for anything. The supreme heaven sect has degraded recently. Our core disciples are the creme of the crop and no one would challenge them, but our inner peak disciples aren't as good." The head warden calmly replied.

"I heard that the Grand war pavilion has a new talent, a sixteen year old deity. He is a mid stage deity yet he already comprehended major intent and also has a special constitution. He was reportedly able to defeat two late stage deities in a one versus two fight." The other warden joined in with a solemn expression.

"That's right. The rumors are true. And the grand war pavilion are trying to use the supreme heaven sect to raise his fame. Not just him, but this generation of the grand war pavilion are stronger than our own inner peak deities. There is something rather important at stake and the sect doesn't want to lose, and even without anything at stake, we can't afford to lose our face."

"Is that why the mystic realms in both the inner peak and the outer peak were opened? Perhaps the sect wants Qiu Yushi and maybe even Bai Zijun and Situ Hong to become stronger. I must admit the three of them might even be stronger than some inner peak disciples at the same stage." The head Warden didn't respond. He simply continued his walk and left the hall, leaving the two wardens to stare at each other.
