The entire cave began to shake and rubbles began to fall from the ceiling and walls under Long Feng's powerful aura. No one would accept that he was just a rank one imperial. The pressure he gave off would not be inferior to a peak Imperial in any way. After a few minutes, his aura vanished, concealed perfectly. At the same time, he still didn't wake up. His energy continued to circulate ceaselessly. If anything, the circulation speed had increased again.
His new cultivation was rapidly consolidated in the span of a single day and he even began to make noticeable progress towards the next level. If he could stay in this comatose state for another week, he would definitely reach rank two Imperial realm. Unfortunately, that wouldn't happen. His energy circulation began to slow down by the next day. On the third day, Long Feng's slumbering consciousness finally began to stir.
His body twitched occasionally for a few hours before he truly began to awaken, and as he did, the unique effects during his strange coma began to vanish. His cultivation speed returned to normal, the gentle energy flowing from his abdomen completely stopped and his instinctive energy circulation ended. If his body was previously on auto pilot, then he slowly took over the wheels once again as he woke up. A groan escaped his lips as his eyes fluttered and opened.
"Ah!" He groaned again at the sudden bright light that filled his eyes. He had to blink several times before everything went back to normal. He slowly sat upright and looked around with a confused expression.
"What the hell happened?" He frowned and cleared the fog in his mind. The memories of when he suddenly felt extremely weak and exhausted came back to him. He clearly recalled that he was planning to leave when he suddenly lost all strength and fell unconscious. It was unknown to him how long it had been since then.
"Wha-" Long Feng slowly rose to his feet and stretched his arms. His bones let out creaking sounds after being frozen for several days. He narrowed his eyes and his mind drifted to the strange fruit which he had consumed alongside the mud dragon root pill. If he considered all things, that could be the only reason he had suddenly lost consciousness. Long Feng's first instinct was to check his body for any changes. And when he did, he was shocked to sense the energy flowing through his veins.
"Is my mind playing tricks? Imperial realm?" He muttered in shock. Could it have already been a month? If he had really been unconscious for a month, then…
"What exactly happened? I am ninety percent sure that this must be the effect of that fruit; to make you fall into a temporary coma while making your body to cultivate on instinct. That shouldn't be possible normally, but it would appear that it wasn't impossible either. The advantages of that was a perfect breakthrough no matter what. A human could make mistakes and deviate slightly from the original path, and although it might not have an obvious effect, it could actually affect the potential.
But the body was different. Every cell would move in coordination and direct the energy to make a flawless breakthrough. That must've been crimson Chen's plan; to consume the fruit before he broke through to the deity realm. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to succeed. Although Long Feng was excited, a sudden though sent chills up his spine.
"What if the fruit had taken effect while I was in the middle of a fight?" If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it. If that has happened, then his death would be a forgone conclusion. He was completely unguarded during his coma. Even a spirit realm warrior would be able to kill him easily. That thought caused him to suck in a deep breath.
"I must never take such risks again. I must know exactly the use of a treasure before I will use it." He decided. After testing his strength, Long Feng smiled.
"I estimate that I am slightly stronger than those two disciples." He was naturally referring to Zhou Kui and Yun Fei.
"With my full minor sword Intent and my two hundred tons of body strength, I won't be able to defeat crimson Chen before he became a deity, but I can hold my own. If I can perfect the second step of the Nine Firmament Steps, I will be able to use speed to fight on par with him. And if I perfect the heaven firmament skill, then… I can kill him!" He smiled. This was his one thoughts after witnessing everyone's strengths and comparing them to his own. As for deity level crimson Chen…
Long Feng might be able to escape, but certainly not fight, not yet.
"I don't know when I'll finally be able to fight those deities. As long as I can't face even the weakest deity, then I am still insignificant in the mainland." He muttered softly. His strength was already something many would envy. Back in the continent zone, he could start a force and rule a low ranked continent. The Yihua clan wouldn't even be worth his time. Even in mid ranked continents, he would hold a high position with his strength. He had finally entered the Imperial realm.
In the Yihua continent, this realm once signified utmost power, respect and fame. Long Feng had idolized the Imperial realm for a long time. His goal had been to reach the Imperial realm at some point, until his experience increased. He came to realize that deities existed on a whole new level of strength; enough to kill Imperials with a slap. Above deities were Dao realm masters, and above even those were the legendary True spirit realm masters. Long Feng didn't know the specifics of the True spirit realm.
It was a realm beyond his comprehension at the moment, but not even that was his goal. That was because he knew about the Firmament Sword Saint… without doubt, he was someone in a league of his own. There were beings like the demon who the Firmament Sword Saint died fighting and still failed to kill, only seal it. Shockingly though, not even those were able to instil a sense of extreme thirst and awe for them. They were unimaginably strong, yes. But…
Far far far above them was Wu Kong, a person with literal god like powers that transcended every law there was. Time? Space? Common sense? They might as well not exist. Wu Kong wasn't just in a league of his own, no. He was a world of his own. There was also the mysterious 'Chaos Sources' that took control of Long Feng's body and fought against Wu Kong, the god like being. All of these widened Long Feng's view to a level that no one in the mainland could comprehend.
He wasn't seeking to become a True spirit realm warrior or even someone on the level of the Firmament Sword Saint. He wanted to touch Wu Kong and the Chaos Sources' level! The level that made the heavens look like a toddler, made laws into a game they could change whenever they wished! He knew how impossibly far away he was from that goal, so he tired to never let his progress to go to his head. Even amidst his excitement, he reminded himself that he was still nowhere near his goal.
Hell, he wouldn't even be able to survive against Bai Zijun yet.
"I've spent too long outside already. It's time to return to the sect. If Bai Zijun is waiting for me, then… ah. There's really nothing I can do anyway."
"But not even he should dare to go against the rules right?" He reassured himself. Looking at the cave one more time, he rushed out like a beam of light. Soaring high in the sky, Long Feng embraced the surging wind. The Imperial realm was truly different. Even his flying speed had increased significantly. He sped up and headed in the direction of the Cao city, where he would take the teleportation formation back to the heaven reflection city and return to the sect. That would take nearly a week in total.
"Heh. I've become an Imperial. I wonder how strong Huang Fang Hao is. Could he have reached the deity realm? Hm, not likely. He's probably a peak Imperial. I can't even estimate what level Liuli would be at. I don't know how she's doing in the Hua clan at all. I should head to the library and dig up all I can about the Hua clan. As for Li Yue'er, she is being raised by the Frozen Empress Valley. Her cultivation was even higher than mine before she left and she was stronger than me.
Perhaps she has already become a deity." Long Feng couldn't help but let his mind wander as he flew.
Six days later, a tired looking Long Feng approached the Supreme Heaven Sect. He smiled in relief after sighting the three towering peaks and his speed increased a bit. Before he entered the sect, he changed back into his outer peak disciple robes and descended at the bottom of the mountain, where he began his trudging up the mountain. Two days ago, he had suddenly received a message in his identity token. The message read;"Outer Peak disciple Long Feng, the serene heaven mystic realm is due to open in seven days.
You are to return to the sect on time or your entry spot will be granted to another disciple." After hearing that, he recalled all he had read about trail lands and mystic realms. They were basically lands of fortune. He was likely to increase his strength if he entered the trial land. With this thought, he sped up and arrived today. He quickly rushed towards the mission hall to submit his mission, not sending the hidden wave of divine sense that swept part his body.
When he arrived at the mission hall, he approached the counter and pushed a void ring across the table towards the warden seated there. The warden was the exact same person who had tried to advise Long Feng against taking the mission and had later warned him to watch out for the other two disciples. The warden was slightly surprised to see Long Feng return but it didn't faze him much. He picked up the void ring and sent his perception into it. A few seconds later, he froze and sent a sharp gaze at Long Feng.
"Kid, crimson Chen became a deity?" He asked. It wasn't a surprise that he could sense the remnant deity aura on crimson Chen's head. Long Feng nodded.
"And you were able to kill him?!" The warden expressed his disbelieve.
"Unfortunately, I don't have that strength. Crimson Chen was severely injured by several others before his breakthrough. I merely took advantage of the situation at the final moment." Long Feng had already thought of his reply. He explained exactly what had happened and merely changed a few details. The warden nodded but was still surprised inwardly. Of course, he didn't reveal that on his face.
"Very well. No matter what, the mission is no longer a one and half star mission but a two star mission." Long Feng had been waiting for this part. He leaned closer to hear his rewards.
"Two star missions have much higher rewards than one star missions. For killing deity crimson Chen, you will be given two hundred heaven runes and a hundred low grade essence stones." Long Feng's heart nearly leapt to his mouth in shock and excitement. He didn't expect the difference between the missions to be so great. But on second thought, it was logical. Deities were extremely powerful. Two star missions always involved deities, so giving a high rewards was reasonable.
"There is a peak Imperial realm head and a rank eight Imperial realm head as well. Those amount to fifty heaven runes and twenty low grade essence stones." The warden continued.
"Your total rewards are two hundred and fifty heaven runes as well as a hundred and twenty low grade essence stones."
