Chương 52: Volume 2: Chapter 13 - Training

"Eh—are you really going to do this?"

"Since we're already here, there's no point in backing out now. This is for your own good." First thing in the morning, I bonded the weights bought by Master Belius on my legs, hands and chest before heading to Toke's room to urge him to come with me for a morning run, which is something I do every day. Having lost the entertainment of my phone and computer, I could only fully embrace the fresh air of this new world. Now, I can proudly declare that I have lost my addiction to mobile phones.

The reason I dragged Toke along with me this time was to strengthen his stamina. It was clear from the entrance exam that his athletic ability was close to zero, and this was something he absolutely had to overcome step by step. If it were an ordinary person, they would probably hate me for being so nosy, but Toke himself probably knew that this was a necessary step to change himself. He complained, but still came with me.

"By the way, I've been wanting to ask for a long time, you keep saying your family is a poor noble family, but you seem to eat very well normally."

"That's because my parents spoil me a lot. They always give me the best and most of what we have at home, saying they want to try their best to give me the life of a young noble master, so I won't be looked down upon by other children." As it turned out, it actually had the opposite effect. Parental love truly is blind. But I can't say much as my physique in past life was similar to Toke. It wasn't until University that I trained to lose some weight and develop muscles.

"I'd like to ask Robert, why can you persist in exercising every day? Did your family ask you to do this?"

"No, I do it voluntarily. It's indeed very boring to stick with this kind of thing long-term, but as long as there's a clear goal, you'll have the motivation to push yourself."

"Eh? What goal? Do you want to become a muscular man?"

"No." I don't want to become like a fitness instructor.

"Because you have someone you admire and want to be like them?"

"No."

"To attract girls' attention?"

"No."

"To pass the time?"

"No." This one was one-fifth correct.

"Sorry, I really can't think of anything else." It's no wonder. If he could guess, I'd be even more surprised.

"It's just to survive, that's all. It's that simple."

"Eh? I don't quite understand."

"It's good that you don't understand, because I'm just talking nonsense. The real reason is that I just want to pretend to be very hardworking." This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it.

"Even more confusing."

"Hahaha." Today, we're having practical skills class outdoors, which is equivalent to a modern school's physical education class. However, what we're training isn't our bodies, but our combat abilities. But because everyone's magic attribute is different, there are a total of seven teachers in the practical skills class, each teaching different course content. Among them, fire, water, earth, wind, thunder, and light each have corresponding magic teachers.

For example, my Innate attribute is Fire with Thunder and Light being Acquired attributes. So, I can go to either of the Fire, Thunder, or Light attributed teacher to listen and practice. Generally speaking, people are born with one attribute and very few will learn multiple attributes like me because Magic of innate attribute is easier to learn, has stronger power and its cost is also lower. So none of the teachers knew all the three attributes.

But speaking of Magic attributes, we have to talk about the original hero, the biggest cheater of this world. Unlike ordinary people, he was born with five attributes of wind, thunder, earth, water, and fire. When he enrolled in the Schools and his talent was be discovered, the school found that it has no teachers who can teach him. So they had to hire a professor from St.

Freya Academy which is like college in this world to teach the Original Hero because professors in this world have extensive research in magic and are all at least rank 6. Above rank 5, it's no longer about magic accumulation and spells but the fundamental nature of magic. One needs to understand the nature of their own magic attribute to reach level 6. Everyone's understanding is different and after rank 6, exploring other attribute becomes a norm to reach higher level.

So anyone above rank 6 knows at least 2 attributes unless he/she is a newcomer. But this make one wonder, why would the school hire a professor from St. Freya Academy to teach the original hero. He didn't have such high status or money. The answer is that everything was arranged by the author. The hero must have been the author's own son. (Author: How did you know?)"..." Let's return to the current teachers. Although Dark Magic also exists in this world, in novels, it is mostly used by villains and demons.

It is extremely rare for people with the Dark Attribute to appear in normal human society, so the school does not have a teacher for it. In short, this is a story for later. As for what the seventh teacher teaches, besides the six teachers who teach various attribute magic, it is naturally various close-combat abilities represented by swordsmanship. This also includes the application of Auxiliary Magic in close combat which Master Belius had mentioned earlier.

The Students have two choices: either learn their corresponding attribute magic, or learn swordsmanship and martial arts to strengthen their physical abilities. This is equivalent to the question of whether to study liberal arts or science in modern schools. However, schools in this other world do not require students to stick to one path. If one day they don't want to learn Martial Arts, they can give it up at any time and switch to pure offensive magic, and vice versa.

This gives students a lot of freedom; even if they learn one thing today and another tomorrow, it's fine. And for the final exam, only one category needs to pass, just like the practical test in the entrance exam. Normally, I would have chosen Swordsmanship to engage into close combat with the teacher to increase my Combat Experience as this was a rare opportunity.

"Yumina, what class are you planning to choose?" After Teacher Tim finished explaining the practical skills class and left the classroom, a classmate couldn't wait to ask Princess Yumina, the most popular person in the class, about her plans.

"On the first day, I plan to try out swordsmanship class. I haven't had much contact with this kind of thing before, and I'm a bit curious."

"Ah, then I'll choose swordsmanship class too."

"Me too."

"Me too." Just like that, after the class's most popular person revealed her plans, many people would eagerly follow her and choose the same course. I'll just honestly go and learn Fire Magic. In past few years, my Fire Magic has fallen behind because I was focusing on developing Thunder and Light Magic. Now, it's about time to return to Fire Magic.

"Hmm?" As I was stroking my chin in thought, I noticed that Yumina seemed to glance at me. However, she seemed to immediately shift her gaze, making me wonder if I was just imagining things. Forget it, there's nothing to care about. I'm not the kind of person who would mistakenly think a beautiful girl might like me just because she looked at me a few extra times. Especially in my situation, Yumina looking at me probably means that the matter of me getting in through the back door isn't over yet....
