Chương 41: Volume 2: Chapter 2 - Royal Academy (Part l)

Children of nobles, upon reaching 12 years old, are required to attend the Royal Academy in the imperial capital. Although various magic and other theoretical knowledge could be learned at home, things like Magic Baptism were provided at the Academy for free, saving money, labour, and Material cost. At the same time, it provided a platform for the younger generation of nobles to get together and truly step into the path of Magic.

The primary purpose of attending school was to prepare for swift integration into noble society by befriending peers from various noble families. Simply put, it was convenient for expanding one's network. If one performed exceptionally well during their time at school, it pretty much guaranteed a prosperous life, bringing honor to their family. However, all those high-sounding reasons could be ignored; in reality, one could simply assume that the original author just wanted to write an otherworld school plot.

Without a school plot, it would be difficult to arrange for the protagonist to show off and increase the favorability of the heroines. Limited imagination could only come up with such a cliché plot, and since it was an otherworld setting, no one would care if it was a bit casual Not to mention Royal Academy, he even created St. Freya Academy for college romance. Sometimes. I wonder if these Academies were built by other transmigrators or the Author himself.

From the fact, he can send me here, means he can travel here as well. With this kind of power, he can naturally send in others all well or just do the things himself. For me, being able to reasonably distance myself from that home was not necessarily a bad thing. By the way, my brother Lucius was also attending the Royal Academy, together with Sister Aisha. He was already in the 5th grade of the Royal Academy, nearing graduation while Sister Aisha was in the 3rd grade of the Royal Academy.

Currently, I was the only one from the Anglus Family family heading to school by carriage. Since there was no pressure of further education or employment in this other world, attending school itself was not a cause for concern for me. What concerned me most was probably that after going to school, I would almost certainly meet the second heroine from the novel.

I had also brought the plot synopsis and character information I had recorded in a diary, and with enrollment imminent, it was necessary to review them on the carriage ride.

The novel features a total of 11 heroines: First Heroine - Holy Saintness of the Holy Church and also Protagonist's Childhood friend - Aina Prishilto Second Heroine - First Imperial Princess of Antasia Empire - Yumina Reid Granier Third Heroine - Beatmen Kingdom's Princess - Elize Yud Eurazania Fourth Heroine - Marquis Arnold's Daughter - Shinika Arnold This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. Fifth Heroine - Youngest Princess of the Elves - Nifarael Vaeloria Starfall Sixth Heroine - Daughter of Duke Levofka - Cresset Levofka Seventh Heroine - Demon Princess - Lilith Novachrono Eighth Heroine - Eastern Spirit Shrine Successor - Mikazuki Amatera Ninth Heroine - Empress of the Imperial Kingdom of Dragonves - Aurelia Draconis Tenth Heroine - Last True Ancestor - Evelyn Bloodgrave Finally, my younger sister - Lia Von Anglus After entering the Magic Academy, the male lead meets the heroines one by one, ultimately overcoming numerous difficulties and achieving a happy harem ending at the novel's conclusion.

Don't be too serious about why the heroines are all incredibly high-status and just happen to fall in love with the same person; this is common in light novels of this genre. How else could the male lead's prowess be demonstrated if not with a high-tier harem? From my perspective as the villainous noble, the first heroine, Aina, entered the Royal Academy a year before the male lead (due to family reasons, she didn't start at age 12), so I didn't need to worry about her for now.

Among the remaining three heroines, Shinika and Cresset had no interaction with Robert in the novel until the male lead enrolled, likely because they weren't in the same class. The only heroine confirmed to have had multiple contacts before the novel's timeline was the First Imperial Princess, Yumina. Princess Yumina was the first heroine the male lead encountered after enrolling. Her character was righteous and awe-inspiring, and her appearance impeccable.

Despite being a princess, she was approachable and harbored no discrimination against commoners. Her magical abilities were also extraordinary, and in the author's writing, she was depicted as a perfect princess character, without a single unlikable trait. However, precisely because of this perfect character, which was so appealing to readers, she naturally clashed completely with Robert, the villainous noble.

She often contradicted Robert, especially regarding his attitude towards commoners, which further intensified their conflict, ultimately placing her on the opposite side of Robert. Rather, it was an incredible phenomenon for me, who had lived in this world for seven years, that the heroines, despite their noble status, uniformly opposed the ideology of noble supremacy. It was unavoidable that otherworld novel settings could disregard logic.

In a sense, not having to probe their backgrounds and knowing they were good by setting saved me the cost of being wary of them. But this disregard for novel setting also has adverse side effect. It has greatly affected me after my transmigration. Things like the Northern Empire, the Holy Church, the Eastern Continent, etc. were never fully described. More importantly, Gods were only used as background NPC in the novel but here they are real. Calling their names directly can attract the gaze of a Gods.

There is even history which was never mentioned in the novel and characters like the first Emperor of Antasia who were never mentioned either. If we seriously think about it then this world is a huge pit with loopholes and pitfalls everywhere. But now isn't the time to talk about pitfalls, instead, the biggest question now was, how should I build my relationship with the heroines? Similar to how I pondered my relationship with Lia, there seemed to be three choices, but in reality, I could only pick one.

Becoming enemies would most likely lead directly to a dead end, so that was definitely not an option. Becoming friends, or even aggressively raising their favorability, and conquering all the heroines before the male lead enrolled. Of course, I had this fantasy, but setting aside how I would conquer them, who could guarantee that the world's "corrective force" wouldn't make the heroines fall in love with the male lead as in the novel once he enrolled? That would lead to the much-anticipated NTR end.

Although my relationship with Lia, one of the heroines, has become very good, it had only transformed from "a family relationship with no communication" to "a normal family relationship," which shouldn't significantly impact the plot. It couldn't be the same for others. As the Marquis's son, befriending anyone else would likely escalate into a troublesome situation. After much thought, avoiding any interaction was still the safest choice. Living and letting live, let the heroines flirt with the male lead.

I was already overwhelmed just dealing with that 20, 000 gold coin debt. My biggest goal for now was to try to survive past 20 years old. If I could safely get through this crisis, I wanted to marry a commoner girl I loved, leave the noble world, and grow old with her. The position of family head would, of course, be left to Lia. Speaking of Lia, my adorable sister, the thought of her possibly dating other men in the future made me feel utterly uncomfortable.

That classic line—"If you want my sister, you'll have to get past me first!" —I definitely had to say that, and a duel was also a must. At least to test the male protagonist's resolve in the future, I must train seriously accumulate Attribute Points....
