Chương 47: Chapter 8 - Inescapable Fate of a Villain (Part ll)

"Yumina Reid Granier. Many of you probably already know me, but I don't like special treatment."

"Since we will be diligently studying together as classmates for the next three years, I hope everyone can treat me as a regular student and interact with me."

"I will also treat all classmates in the class equally, regardless of their rank or status. Let's work together to create a united and friendly Class A and enjoy these three years." Long golden hair like spun gold, an unparalleled beauty that instantly captivated the eye, the noble aura unique to royalty, and 'ideal' lines that only a royal of the highest status could utter. After Yumina finished speaking, thunderous applause erupted in the classroom. What an approachable Princess! Most people must have thought so.

Because royalty is the highest existence in this country, simply being in the same Class As royalty is an honor worth boasting about to others. Moreover, she even said she would treat all students in the class equally. Some people might think that this was just Princess Yumina's polite words to show her royal magnanimity, and that she didn't actually mean it.

But I can be sure that those dreamy statements, like those adorned with petals in shoujo manga, were her true feelings, because that's how the original novel's author set her up. No matter how unreasonable, to create a perfect princess image that readers wouldn't dislike, she was given all the virtues of a good person: upright character, hatred of evil, gentleness, kindness, and approachability, all piled up to create Yumina.

Although I quite liked her when I read the novel, after all, a princess is a super buff; who wouldn't want to fall in love with the highest-status beautiful girl? But now that I've reincarnated as an evil noble, her lovely aspects might not be easily shown to me, a member of the Marquis Family. On the contrary, my first impression on her is likely a negative score due to the entrance exam incident.

Subsequently, the self-introductions continued steadily, and no matter how unwilling I was, it was finally my turn to reveal my family name.

"Next is the last student, please." Teacher Tim looked at me, and all eyes followed, shifting backward. Forget it, I'll just go for broke. This narrative has been purloined without the author's approval. Report any appearances on Amazon.

"Robert Von Anglus. I hope to get along well with everyone. Please take care of me." I didn't want to say more, otherwise, it would make me seem presumptuous and trying to show off. No matter how much more I said, I couldn't change my current reputation.

"Anglus? That famous great noble..."

"More like notorious family..."

"Shh! Don't say that."

"No way."

"So he's..." As expected, it instantly caused a flurry of discussion among the other students. This is understandable; in terms of family status, in this class, only Princess Yumina was higher than me. Some people's eyes changed when they looked at me. However, revealing my identity like this would lead to a troublesome problem. People would think that I got into Class A entirely by relying on my family's power and pulling strings. It's hard not to think that. After all, the power of rumours is exaggerated.

From initially me using Magic it changed to using underhanded tactics, to threatening the teacher with family status at last. Although I haven't heard the recent update, I believe the rumour will only be more exaggerated now. I didn't hear anyone say anything but the way those people looked at me completely indicated that they thought exactly that, they just didn't dare to say it for fear of offending me. People are such realistic creatures.

"Alright, that concludes the self-introductions. Next..."

"Please wait, Teacher Tim."

"Hmm? What is it? Prin... Yumina." At this moment, Yumina suddenly stood up, attracting the attention of the entire class.

"I have a question that I absolutely cannot understand, and I ask Teacher Tim to answer it."

"What question?" When Yumina turned around and looked at me, I knew what she wanted to ask. Presumably, this was also a question that other students didn't understand but only someone of Yumina's status dared to ask.

"Robert clearly cheated in the practical test, which everyone witnessed. However, he was assigned to Class A, which I believe many students did not expect."

"May I ask if the school scored him based on the principles of fairness and impartiality, and if possible, could you disclose his total score in the entrance exam?" That's right, precisely because of her upright character, she would directly and unreservedly question any 'improper' facts that might occur at school. Yumina didn't dislike me as a person; she simply wouldn't allow injustice to happen, that's all.

"I don't have the authority to disclose a student's individual scores. I can only say that Robert's placement in Class A was a unanimous decision by the teachers." Teacher Tim seemed to have been mentally prepared, facing Yumina's sudden question without changing his expression. However, the answer did not clear up everyone's doubts, so Yumina would not give up so easily.

"So, that means it's not strange that Robert's score placed him in Class A, and the school was not influenced by external factors. Can I assume that?"

"Yes."

"Let me make this clear: normally, I don't want any special treatment at school, but if there's an unfair incident that causes doubts among the students, I won't hesitate to use my royal authority. I will personally request to view Robert's individual score."

"There's no need for such trouble. Robert's practical test score was given by Teacher Klaus and was ultimately approved by the Headmaster. If you want to clear your doubts, just ask those two directly."

"... Yes, I will do that." Although she didn't get a convincing answer on the spot, Yumina still sat down. This is not good. The way the classmates looked at me, they completely saw me as an 'evil' noble who used unscrupulous means to get into Class A. Although I consider myself very different from Robert in the original novel, can I still not avoid the 'fate' of an evil noble?
