"Not together." Ruruka made a strangled sound. Ria's mouth twitched. I stared at everyone.

"My private room was invaded by a recovery committee?" Karin frowned.

"It was not invaded. It was liberated."

"From what?"

"Mess." Ruri clasped her hands.

"Looks like you're staying home today." Hikari's eyes lowered.

"Hikari," she said softly, "was it like a dungeon?" Hikari shook her head against me.

"Not inside. Outside." Outside. Ruruka's eyes met mine. I looked back. No panic. Not yet. But attention, immediate and cold. I adjusted Hikari gently so she could sit against me instead of hiding completely.

"Tell us slowly." Hikari rubbed one eye.

"Hikari saw school first. But not school. Maybe school? The sky was purple. There were black lines. Rude monsters came from doors. Big one had horns. Another one was like armor. Papa told Hikari and sisters to run, but Hikari did not want to run. Mama was there. Mama had scary black wings but not wings." I said nothing. Ruruka's mouth tightened. Black wings but not wings. Dark mana manifestation, perhaps. Or the child's dream language trying to translate something she could not properly understand.

Hikari continued, voice small and uneven.
