Chương 99: Chapter 87. A Promise

Warm... I woke up on a soft bed. Without even moving, I felt the familiar warmth of 2 people who have been making a habit of sneaking into my bed lately. Well, we're set to be Married in about a week, so I guess I shouldn't mind. It's been 2 days since the duel. Yesterday I spent the day healing the injured at the village's medical center. It wasn't so much a hospital, more like a decent sized house with a few dozen people of all ages in beds all over the place.

I healed a few kids who had broken bones, some adults who had serious illnesses and I healed an elderly man and woman who had broken their hips from falling. That was my morning. In the afternoon I reported that everyone was healed. The Village Chief, who was an orange man with 2 horns sticking out of the top of his head, began to speak to me after the report." It felt like this was the true first break in a while.

We had dinner and instead of the seating arrangements of the first night, I was sat next to Asha and Sharon for some reason. She may be a little lonely for now, but in time, when she visits us, I'm sure she'll be happy. Sarah, Anna and I went back to the Village Chief's house where we have been sleeping for the past 2 days. The Village Chief has grown to be happier and happier with our stay as I healed all of his villagers free of charge. We entered the dining room as it was around dinner time, and everyone was sat at the table. We all sat down and greeted everyone." It's good that you three have come back!

We were just thanking Chief Darben for his hospitality." Warrick was in a cheerful mood. He seems to have drunk some liquor and was feeling the effects. Dinner was a jovial affair.
