Chương 152: Chapter 135. Visitor

It's been 2 days since the swamps were restored. After informing Anna, in private, that the Water Goddess was Contracted to her, Anna checked and was shocked to find her added to her Contract List. Once all of the information was finished being traded, for the first time in a while, Sarah, Anna and I simply went to sleep without doing anything. Fighting a Wyvern and transforming a part of a continent would probably has that effect on anyone. Yesterday was busy.

Dragging everyone into my office to explain the plans going forward was an ordeal. Of course, there was push back, mostly from Rodrick and Jim surprisingly. Rodrick, because he had personally had milk before and was poisoned from it for 2 days. I explained that it was like medicine, as in not knowing how to handle it can result in poisoning yourself, Rodrick backed off. Jim on the other hand, was harder to deal with. As a Chef, his complaints were justified.

He eventually accepted my selfishness when he realized I wasn't going to back down. In a way, I felt bad, his concerns were natural. If someone told me they were going to start mass-producing and feeding people snake venom in my world, I'd probably call the police on them." I guess that I need to account for that and change the attitude towards milk from Paradise first... But how do I advertise it past that? No... First comes the product." I reminded myself not to get ahead.

I was sitting in my office now, thinking about how to make all of this viable. I'd probably need to use a double pot method for pasteurizing the raw milk. I'll just have to make them gigantic. Thankfully, this world has a Spell for checking the temperature of something and they used a similar system to gauge heat as my world did. that'll do for temperature checks. I've already sent the designs needed for the process of different dairy products.

From there, I just need to mess around with the right amount of Magic in place of modern machines in order to get butter, cream and cheeses going. I'm going to need to get rennet from plants. Thankfully, I checked with Lily, and she can just create the rennet from scratch from using a special Plant Magic. Then I need to get some of the Craftsmen involved in working for the dairy facility and makin--- /KNOCK.... KNOCK...

/ As I was double checking my plans for the rebirth of Paradise for the 7th time since I woke up, I heard some polite knocking on my door." Come in." I responded to the knocks calmly. In walked Ellie and Wendy of all people." What are you 2 doing here?" I asked the obvious question." Ms. Ruby said to bring you to the Northern Greeting Building. Apparently, someone has come, and she asked for you to come and speak to the outsider." Ellie informed me of the current situation. Who could have arrived now?

I look at both of them and nod my head." Okay, thanks for coming to get me. Are you both going to walk me there?" Both Wendy and Ellie nodded their heads innocently. Great, people really do think I've gone crazy, they're even having children act as minders for me." Well, thanks for the help, I guess? Let's get going." I got up to start walking out and the girls followed me. Once we exited the house, Ellie spoke very bluntly to me." So, did talking to that Goddess make you go crazy?"" Huh?"" Ellie!"

Wendy was concerned for some reason. I guess that whole "I'll execute anyone who gets out of line" thing is still at the forefront of the Humans' minds, isn't it? I turned to Wendy and started to speak." Wendy, if you're worried about me randomly killing someone for speaking out of line, I'd punish someone with disciplinary actions if it were in front of outsiders, but it's fine if the people who live here want me to explain my decisions." Wendy looked at me surprised."

N-N-No that's not why I said that, Lord Matthew! It's just rude is all..." I thought for a moment, then I squatted down to Wendy and spoke." To be honest, Wendy, I was a Commoner back in my old life, So, I actually prefer for people to speak to me like I still am one in private. Also, for the most part. I view "being in Paradise", as being in private. Don't be scared to voice your thoughts with me, unless a visitor is here of course. Do you both want to know why I want to make products with milk?"

I rose back up to my feet and took a step." To put it in simple terms, my favorite dessert is something made from milk. It's called "ice cream"."" Iced cream?" They both said in unison." No, "ice cream". It's a frozen dessert. It's a little hard to describe it here in Gaia since you don't have dairy products. Hmm. I can only really put it in this way.

During the summer... When I was a kid, a person would ride around in a big vehicle and play a song that you could hear from a few houses away. Children, who would be tired from the heat, would eagerly get up and beg their parents to buy them some ice cream to eat."" It was that coveted?" Wendy spoke in disbelief at my words." Yes, it's sweet and delicious and comes in a bunch of flavors. The most classic flavors are vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. My favorite from those 3 is vanilla.""

You can have it with strawberries?" Ellie spoke happily." Yes. Basically, you mix the ingredients to make the ice cream including the main "flavor" of it. In this case, you'd add strawberries or strawberry flavoring and then add small pieces of strawberry as well. Since I have Lily as a Summon though, I can just make a small patch of strawberries that will always be in season and delicious to fill demand."" Can't you do that without the ice cream!?" Ellie looked at me with hope and greed in her eyes.

Seems she likes strawberries. I couldn't help but play a small prank." I mean, I could, but maybe I'm too crazy from meeting the Water Goddess now." Ellie's hopes were dashed. I laughed at her demeanor and followed up my words." Relax, right now we have 2 completed fields and a 3rd is beginning to sprout. Once we have enough food for everyday life and a steady surplus growing for vegetables, I plan on making just as many fruit fields." Pat... Pat... I rubbed Ellie's head, and she began to brighten up.

I also noticed that I've slipped up in some ways... Since I was so excited from making ice cream and other things from my world, I ended up telling both Wendy and Ellie about an ice cream truck... Thankfully I didn't mention it being a truck... Or how I know about all of this... Still though, I need to watch it from now on... As for Ellie and Wendy, they both just seemed excited about the mountains of strawberries that are going to be coming in the future.

With a stern waring to myself in my mind, we made it to the holdin--- I mean, the Greeting Building. Skitz and Edmon were outside standing guard. I guess Ruby, Sarah and Anna were watching the visitor inside." Lord Drake! Good to see you!" Skitz energetically greeted me." Good afternoon, Lord Drake." Edmon also greeted me. He was in a relaxed state. Seems that the person in the building wasn't a big wig from somewhere?" Afternoon, I'll see myself to the door, guys. Wendy, Ellie, thanks for guiding me."

I waved goodbye and entered the building. I was greeted by Ruby and strangely, Emily, who was waiting in front of the door that the visitor was in." Ruby, Emily! Good to see you both today."" Lord Matthew, good afternoon!" They both greeted me in unison. Since the Water Goddess returned the area to how it was originally, I've noticed Ruby has been even happier than usual recently. I'm glad the angry lady I originally met the first day I came here has been able to have this much relief.

I hope everyone grows to look like this when I get my dairy products off the ground. Continuing on, the only people who supported me wholeheartedly so far with my idea of using dairy products were, Sarah, Anna, Ruby and Emily. Everyone else was very cautious. Jim and Janet in particular. Granted, I'd be feeding this food to their child eventually, so of course they'd be worried. Maybe I should have stressed that I would be testing everything? Which reminds me... Why did they just agree with me?

I guess I should ask them." Hey, if you guys wouldn't mind telling me, why did you back me when I talked about using milk and making products from it?" Both of the girls looked at each other and they both seemed flustered. Ruby all of a sudden had a determined look in her eyes and began to answer my question." Lord Matthew... You see. WE----" All of a sudden, Emily grabbed Ruby from behind.... I guess it's a good thing that a Human and Demon are getting along?

They're acting like good friends all of a sudden and it hasn't even been a month of being in Paradise for the Humans yet. I heard them whisper about something in front of me. It feels kind of bad to be left out of a conversation when I'm right here though.

".... They.... Time.... Trust.... Moments...." I couldn't truly make out what they said. I decided to just take back what I said." If it's something you want to keep to yourselves, it's okay. I was just curious is all. Either way, thank you for your support. I'll make sure you guys get to have some of the first completed batch of items I make."" You already know what you're making first?" Emily asked her question with surprise in her voice. I begin to answer." Yes, I'll be making 4 items first.

An actual drinkable milk, a dessert, and 2 things that can make almost any meal better."" Sounds interesting!" Ruby seemed to be excited about what I'll be doing. If only they knew how important those last 2 are. I can't wait to start adding delicious food from my world here. I can feel myself start to salivate at the thought of it. But that's all for later down the road. I also realized that Sarah and Anna weren't here. My next question was a simple one." Hey guys, where are Sarah and Anna?

You contacted them as well, right?"" Of course! They're talking to the visitor now. Apparently, they both know the person."" Hmm... I wonder who it could be?" Ruby answered my question. Sarah and Anna know the person though? It must be someone I know as well, or a teacher or student from the Royal Academy?" Well, I guess I'll go see who it is as well." I excused myself to the door of the room and entered. Sarah and Anna were both relaxed and smiling.

I looked at the person who they were talking to, and I was surprised to say the least. He noticed me and began to greet me." Long time no see, Lord Drake! You've grown since the last time I saw you." I was greeted by a smile and a warm greeting." Long time no see, Zack!"
