Chương 132: Chapter 116. Sarah and Anna's Hunt

Sarah Ericsson's Point of View We walked East for around 20 minutes before we encountered our first batch of prey. Around 6 crabs had huddled together and were eating plants on the waterfront of a pond.

"Allow Anna and I to deal with this group. Ruby, Flare, you both can have the next group if it's as small as this one. Okay?"" As you command, Sarah." Ruby responded to me as Flare nodded her head. I turned to Anna who had already begun to glow a dark black glow. She's mastering her new abilities faster and faster it seemed.

"Anna, I'll pile them up together. Once they're bunched up, you can land the finishing blow. Does that work for you?" Anna looked at me and nodded as she answered me." I'll start preparing a Spell to leave the bodies intact then." With Anna preparing, I stepped forward while withdrawing my halberd from my Mana Storage. I turned to my group and explained to them what I was about to do. Ah, Mana Storage. I've grown fonder and fonder of this Magic as John has grown more and more dependent on me because of it.

I feel myself smile as I try to not get distracted. However, thinking of My Love has granted me a boost in strength. This Love Warrior Job is quite interesting.

Love Warrior Given to True Warriors whose Love is truly obsessive! The Power and Skills you gain from this Class are directly tied to the amount of Love and Devotion you feel towards the object of your Love as well as their Mutual Feelings for You, Dear User! A Class like this was first given to an Ancient Queen whose King was lost during battle against a neighboring Country. One of the Gods who presided over Love, was impressed by her Love and Devotion to her Husband. She received a vision of the Divine and was awarded this Class for her Devotion.

With great strength, granted by the Love she felt for her Husband, she pushed the invaders back and beheaded the enemy leader. Now that one problem was solved, the second needed dealing with. One of the Fundamental Skills of Love Warrior is the ability to locate your Loved Ones. The King was found in a month, he had been captured and placed in a jail cell. After locating him. It took a night and a Queen to save a King. Then it took 3 months of being Lovey Dovey to continue governing as they did normally.

In about a year's time, that same country was blessed with triplet Princes. The commoners said it was a Blessing of the Love Gods, they didn't truly know how right they were, Dear User.

I could barely hide my glee at reading that description when I first received this Special Job. Through extensive, and quite pleasurable, if frustrating testing. I've found that based on if John and I share intimate moments together, I can gain a boost in my abilities as well as a Buff that lasts for a few days. I was tempted to explain this to John, but I felt that I would almost be guilting him into being intimate with me, so I chose not to. To my surprise, this choice also gave me strength!

This Class truly is based on the Love and Devotion someone feels towards another. I suppose the danger in it, would be falling for the wrong person. However, that will never be a concern for me.

"BLUBBB!!!" Ah, the crabs noticed me. Seems I failed in not being distracted. Thrust! / Clack! / Using the blunt side of my halberd I smack the one attacking me in the head. This made the others start to get aggressive. Seems they don't like being interrupted during their meal? A shame, considering its their last one. / Woosh! / Float! While they all had their eyes on me, I launched myself into the air with my Wind Magic.

Once I was stable and floating with my Magic's support, I went on to casting another Wind Spell, this time, it's a Barrier with my Calamity Mana mixed into it. This caused them to bunch up out of fear. I used the Telepathy that my Mother taught me to send the go ahead to Anna. If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation." Now, Anna!"" Understood!" Anna started to release her Spell. I heard her chant the Spell's name." REAP!" / SHING!

/ With that word, the image of a pale woman in a cloak whose face wasn't visible appeared behind Anna. With a great black scythe made of mana, the figure slashed through my Barrier and into the crabs. With that, the crabs were no more. I landed on the ground safely and then released my barrier and placed them in my storage. I've learned through some trial and error that, just as John had gained Holy Mana from his Job, I had gained " Calamity Mana" from mine.

Which, like a natural calamity, every living being seems to have an inherent fear of its presence. It's a useful thing to have to ward someone away from something. In this case, those crabs from leaving my Wind Barrier. I also imbue our mansion's outdoor walls with the same mana to keep any flies that may come, away from us. So far, it works well." Sarah... Anna... That was so impressive!" Ruby spoke cheerfully after witnessing our teamwork. She's a strange woman.

My abilities I've gained through Love Warrior tells me she's one to look out for as a potential partner to John, but she acts nothing like I expect her to. Perhaps she's never felt Romantic Love before, like Anna or myself, before meeting John? Which means I don't have much mana to use, but, with my greatsword and heavy shield, I'm a good Frontliner!" Nod.

I nodded to Ruby's answer, having heard it, I now understood why she brought such heavy weapons with her. Granted, her armor was lightweight, so she didn't truly sink into the mud or anything as she walked." I'm a Demonic Monk! I hit things really hard with my fist! I even can use some Combat Magic!" Flare spoke excitedly as she explained her abilities. I nodded along to her answer as well.

Seems that with their Jobs combined with their knowledge from being born in the area, they shouldn't need too much help from us." There are 2 gators to the South. about 10 minutes from here." Anna spoke as she had finished her searching. I turn to the 2 of them." Will that work for you 2? Or would you rather something else?" Ruby and Flare looked excited by Anna's words." No! This will be fine! I've been wanting to fight one since earlier!

Lord Drake has shown that I'm not good enough yet and need to push myself to the limits!"" I'm fine with it as well! If we can hunt 2 gators that will be a lot of meat for Paradise!" With that, we left where we were for the gators. As we walked, Anna spoke to me with our open line of Telepathy." Do you think they can be trusted fully?"" I'm not sure yet?

The fact that Ruby changed from being so rude to John to now, being nearly a Perfect Subordinate is strange, but we might have to put that up to John and the way that Title works for him. It certainly wouldn't be the first Demon John has been able to get on the good side of now, would it?"" What about, Flare?"" She seems to follow Ruby as her guide in things. I imagine most of the Flameskins do as they respect strength. We should still watch and test them.

Choosing the gators were a good choice, they should give us an accurate idea about how strong they are moving forward. A shame we can't test the remaining Flameskins and Iceskins like this. There have been some flies who have tried to peek on us during the night, thankfully, my Barrier stopped them. I only wish the Barrier could tell me who it was." Anna and I traded some of our thoughts. It seems we both think that Ruby and Flare are harmless, but we need to be cautious because of who Our Husband is.

It was the first Spell I was able to use from Love Warrior, and honestly, it's the Spell I use the most. For some reason, we seem to split up a bit more now than Anna and I would like.

Considering his Mental Status is overall excited and happy, I assume he's making progress with his Skill."" Good, even though he seems to already feel safe around Skitz and Edmon, I think it's best to check on him whenever we can."" I agree."

With our discussion about John's safety being over for the moment, we joined Ruby and Flare in chatting as we walked to our next hunt.
