I went to give the Sect Master the good news, mostly because she was dying, so I might get something good from her treasury.
"Frozen Master... you're still torturing poor lizards?" I noticed at once. A hundred lizards in various stages of mutilation.
"How can a farm boy know about their rare trait? It's not like you see three-legged lizards often." she asked like I was a wise master.
"For example, a kid might want to catch a lizard to show off to their friend, and stare like an idiot as the lizard tail detached in his hand. A month later, on the same flat stone, the same lizard had grown a thin new tail." I spoke with faint humor.
"Hmph. Quite believable. What was that kid's name?" the Sect Master asked with a keen mind.
"Oh? That kid was called Tian Wushang. Should be around 2000 years old right now." I answered with a grin. Her face changed.
"Still alive? And you know him?" she asked a bit anxious.
"Master Wushang is still alive, yes. And a Tier 4 Alchemist. From the Red Pill Tower sect, the guys who have three Soul Transformation Elders at the top." I said with a distant look. Should I visit them? Might learn something good. And their faces might fall off when they learn my age.
"I would like to meet someone that old... death is quite scary, not that a young man like you would know anything about death." the old woman said in a dreamy voice. I just placed three different grade Tier 3 Regeneration pills on her tea table, then poured myself some tea. Even more bitter. Some kind of assisted suicide? Loss of taste?
"I made these today. Tier 3 Regeneration pills... the good one will grow back a limb for a Core Elder. The high grade... mangled stuff mostly. And the low grade, general injuries plus missing fingers or ears. Hardest pills I ever made, even harder than the Tier 4 Demonifuge. Working without a recipe is so expensive." I complained like a poor Alchemist.
"You... invented this Regeneration pill? By yourself?" she exclaimed in amazement.
"Yes, after learning of this lizard story, I had some ideas. Well, I now need to think much more for a Tier 4 pill which could work on Nascent Souls. That's where the big money comes from. Rich old people."
"Use a Tier 4 lizard beast... right?" she proposed with a smirk. This novel is published on a different platform. Support the original author by finding the official source.
"If I could find one... every Venerable in this sect might not be enough to take it down. It regenerates..." I explained politely.
"Haha. That would be a challenge. Still, the payoff would be just as massive. Plus the skin and meat and all the valuable stuff. A Tier 4 beast can support a sect for centuries." she whispered with some hidden purpose.
"Alternatively, I can cultivate with my wives and your Elders a bit more, and win easily with my awesome Soul Transformation realm. That should be smarter, right?" I asked with a wry tone. She sighed and nodded.
"I forget. You've already grown two levels since you married Minghue. It will slow down immensely after 4th level, but if you manage to raise more Venerables..." I sipped more tea, then placed 2 pills on the table.
"Dao Vision pills. Quinhue gave me your Sister Ling's eyes... and this is the result. Sadly, only high-grade. Either she lacked a strong Dao imprint, or my Alchemy sucks." The Sect Master touched the pills like seeing an old friend.
"Ling... one begets two. She can still help the sect, even in death." she whispered in a gloomy voice.
"I am thinking, Elders Sun and Moon should eat them. For Dinghue I have a Supreme-grade I kept for myself, but I just didn't need it. My ascension was too easy." I flexed like a pro, just to see the old woman nod.
"Please do so. And help my Elders grow back the legs and arms. I suspect the herbs were not cheap, right?" she asked to make sure.
"I used 120 Tier 3 herbs for 40 Regeneration pills. And 9 more Tier 3 herbs for the 3 Dao Vision pills. Told you, it was really hard..." I muttered and spat the bitter tea.
"... And you haven't failed even once?" The Sect Master asked with wide eyes. I scratched my head.
"The first 9 pills were low-grade. The next 12 high-grade. And 19 Supreme-grade. Much harder than I expected." I admitted with a guilty voice. The woman sighed and closed her eyes.
"You really are wasted on this continent, Pef Tian. I doubt there are many people who can be your equal, even on that Central Continent with millions of geniuses." I shrugged, knowing too well those big sects had Tier 8 and 9 alchemists.
"Not in my age group, but otherwise... when people can live for millions of years, they have time to practice more. I do want to become a Tier 9 Alchemist one day. It will be very hard though."
"And yet, I trust you will manage. Maybe you can join that Flower Sect, and grow in peace." the woman proposed with a sneaky mind.
"The Million Flowers? I think they already have thousands of good alchemists. Not at Tier 9 but still... better than me. Plus, I'd need to marry a Sage of theirs first, who are proud and strong. Could be a good place to sell my milk though." I said with a gloomy voice.
"Pef Tian... if men were all like you, there won't even be this conflict we have with men all the time. As a Sect Master, I am convinced you will be well-received among those Flowers. Even if you slap a few faces with your dick. Ling was so furious!" she laughed in a weird voice.
"I was stupid and angry that day. The White Stars deserved to be dick-slapped in private. I should do that again, before I leave. They don't seem very upset for what I did... strangely. I would surely be angry if a man slapped my face with his dick!" I argued in a righteous voice.
"... Just go and heal my Elders. And do slap their faces with your dick. Tell them I ordered you." the old hag laughed again, and waved me off. What did we learn today? Women are strange! Perhaps crazy. Oh well. We are under Sect Master's orders, so we must obey. Healing then dick-slapping, in that order.
