With knowledge about the special sect missions, I went to find Elder Gong and got her to approve such a mission for myself. What missions the Shadow Master preferred were ruin explorations of an ancient sect at the border with the Frozen Pavilion. Which also matched with what I wanted.
After preparing myself for camping in the rough, from two bed rolls to a water barrel and clean towels, plus food and tea and a few taels of silver for trading with mortals, I jumped on my sword and flew away, while my elder wife wiped a tear watching her husband be so valiant. After an hour, I dove into a deep forest, and hid away... waiting for enemies to pursue. And waited... Sadly, a day passed and nobody came to say: "Fellow Daoist, please wait!"
I was a bit sad that I didn't have enemies to come after me, but then again I wasn't Tian anymore. My enemies were already dead or sucking my dick and paying for the favor. I flew out again, looking around for opportunities. And I don't mean finding a sleeping Spirit Beast and murdering it in its sleep. Well, one of them, yes. Who doesn't want a bear rug in front of his fireplace? But after seeing dozens of such beasts on the way, I ignored them and looked for different things.
My storage bag wasn't very big either. A few rare herbs or a spirit fruit were useful and small, a 50 ton snake was not. A week later I reached the first human city, and went to buy an alchemy cauldron and some supplemental herbs, just enough to craft some Tier 1 pills for healing or qi recovery. Other sects would equip their inner disciples with plenty of pills and even talismans or artifacts, but the Blue Lotus was poor.
Anyway, I kept an ear out for certain news, like massacres and villages being razed, which were common signs of demonic cultivators being active. Sadly, nothing yet. Rivers flooding, crops pelted by hail, marriages and illness... pretty normal stuff. It would be more surprising if nothing bad happened. A blacksmith sold me 100 iron nails for a tael of silver, which were far more useful than cultivators had any idea. Sure, swords looked great for duels, but for killing you wanted distance.
Tian never learned that lesson, and well... here he was, a dead flower in my head. Another week of flying and I reached the ancient sect ruins... which were mostly covered by vegetation, similar to Machu Pichu, like Pef said. Anyway, the stuff above the ground had no value. I needed to find the hidden treasures, deep underground. Both for the Sect Points, and to attract my target. I began by setting fire to the overgrown jungle, and while it burned I cooked some pills in the alchemy cauldron.
Forest fires released both Wood and Fire qi in the air, making Alchemy a dozen times easier. I guess Tian's knowledge was useful after all. Sadly, higher realm pills required so much qi that you'd need to burn a continent to have enough qi from the air. But for my small task, it was enough. Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. After a few days of careful mapping, I located a couple of deep tunnels and even a large hall around an underground pool.
That should be the place. So I began to dig, which is much easier for a Foundation cultivator than for a regular farm boy, but I'd still prefer a bulldozer like Pef remembered. Anyway, good practice for my sword training. Exploding the earth or entire boulders made my work a lot of fun, and as they say, if you find a job you like, you'll never work a day in your life. Once the inclined tunnel to the room below was ready, I went to sleep and warmed beside the pool.
It should have been an ancient sacred pool used to cleanse meridians or sacrifice virgins, equal chances here. Next day, Tian began to build his beacon, a Formation directed at the Frozen Pavilion, and emanating Yin and Ice qi. I first wanted an omnidirectional beacon, but there was a good chance other cultivators would get attracted instead. That would ruin my mission, so no. Lastly, Tian took out our Yin-Yang Formation plate, and hid it beneath the pool. Working with three flowers in the same mind is complicated.
However, only Tian knew how to work with Formations. I just had to wait... 37 seconds until a Nascent Soul cultivator descended over my pool, and glared at me with a face hidden by a frozen veil. And action! The rotating Yin-Yang Formation caught the Frozen Venerable and made her float next to me, eyes glazed with love. Tian turned off the beacon and concealed the pool, while I went to help the pretty woman take off her veil and the rest of her clothes. Fair white skin, a lovely face, ruby lips...
and a beautiful spring flower too. Damn, without Tian's memories of much prettier women, I would have been tied to my feet. Sadly, I didn't have much time. The Formation wouldn't hold a Nascent Soul for too long, so I got to work, the other kind of work. Explore the wonder of her body, lick everywhere, and serve her a meal of hot milk, in a dozen positions, a few of them quite immoral.
Then drink as much pure Yin as I could, helped by the Yin-Yang Formation around us, which kept me from freezing solid due to the strong Yin Meridian. Then, as soon as Tian sensed the pretty woman start to wake, I gathered my things, except the wet bear rug, left the apology letter under her white robes and teleported back to my inn in the nearest town. Return to Heartstone was quite useful. And if you're curious about the letter, I'll let you read it beside the Frozen Nascent Soul.
"My esteemed lady, I don't blame you for falling in love with me and my milk, since other women did the same in my Blue Lotus Sect, and I now have 4 wives and a concubine, all without any fault of my own! However, I still need you to pay 2 spirit stones for drinking my milk, since your cultivation must be at Core Realm if you can fly. My Foundation realm wives only pay 1 spirit stone, but they are also poor.
Don't worry, in a year or less I will also gain my Core Realm and come at your Frozen Pavilion to clear things up and take you as a wife. I am a responsible man, and will not use and forget, like other scumbags. Your future husband Pef Tian is a hero and a man of his word. PS: burn the letter, lest our enemies gain blackmail on us. PSS: the ruins are dangerous, and used by the Blood Pact for nefarious things. Keep this secret!
PSSS: Be wary of Venerable Teshan, who has a pit with millions of corpses under his villa. Xoxo!" Sadly, I was too far to see the explosion as the Nascent Soul read my letter, but I could sense it in my bones. I just sat down to meditate and digest my gains, since so much pure Yin should indeed raise my cultivation by a few levels. Now, where else could I find another target of such caliber? I meditated deeply, but the Frozen Pavilion was still the best target. Maybe I could rinse and repeat?
Pef snickered in my mind, and I nodded. Being a scumbag was both fun and profitable.
