"All right, Dark Sister. I'll speak with the Dark Lord about your tithe. You can go now." I said in an arrogant voice, then went to sit down and finish my tea.
"Go, go! This Dark Lord has important things to discuss with our new member!" He exclaimed and nodded towards me. After everyone has left, the Dark Sister with a strange look in her eyes, I remained alone with the silly disciple, who groaned and rested in his chair, likely feeling the pain of a hundred sword bruises.
"You should get your family to buy a Golden Mango for you, Dark Lord. Your meridians can grow a bit stronger, and you will advance even faster in cultivation." I proposed in a sneaky voice. The man opened an eye to glare at me.
"Do you think I need advice on cultivation, Pef Tian?" he growled in pain.
"That depends, Dark Lord. If we're talking about sword reinforcement, then yes. I didn't hit you that way just to cause pain. Try it, and tell me next week how you feel." I spoke in a superior voice, then walked away, leaving the young Dark Lord to contemplate the Dao by himself. My Dark Sister had not left, and simply waited for me outside Di's courtyard.
"Pef Tian! I mean it, can you teach me that Wind move?" she asked in a polite voice. I nodded and smiled.
"It will cost you 3 spirit stones. Plus another kiss, Dark Sister." I whispered from behind her. Her fist clenched for some reason, but my price wasn't so exaggerated. She did offer a kiss for free, after all.
"Don't call me Dark Sister... in public. Mei Teshan, or Sister Mei works better." she asked in a lower tone.
"After you, Sister Mei. Unless you want our deal in public?" I asked in a teasing tone. Sister Mei led me to her own courtyard, covered by a Nascent Soul Formation, obviously given to her by a rich father. Two maids came over, fusing over her hair and shoes for a minute, until Mei got presentable again. I did rough her up a little during sparing.
"Wait outside, you two. Pef Tian has something secret to teach me." she told her maids, who glared at me like I was here to steal their flower. I held out my wooden sword, and held it level.
"Did you know, air flows faster over the sword than below it?" I began, moving my sword gently through the air, generating a tiny bit of lift. Sister Mei copied my moves, focused on sensing the Bernoulli principle at work. Pef had a technical education due to his strange non-magical world. His knowledge would get much more useful once we began working with Lightning techniques. My sword flowed and turned, like a jet-fighter doing a turn by compressing air.
"Do it again! And slower..." Mei asked, focused on my sword.
"Sadly it works better at higher speed. Watch this..." I continued, accelerating my arm to the maximum and adding a bit of qi. The tip of my wooden sword broke the sound barrier, and left a trace of wood in the air like a magic spell. My sword tapped the Dark Sister on the chest, right between her breasts.
"I say this move is worth three spirit stones, right? I still have to pay the Dark Tithe to our Dark Lord..." I commented in a wry voice. Mei glanced at my sword, and began to blush.
"You're always doing such things, on purpose! Aren't you afraid I'll have you killed?" she asked in a low growl. My sword tip moved lower, until it got trapped between her legs.
"I hope you don't kiss dead men, Dark Sister. I mean, I've heard of worse, but you're not that ugly and desperate..." I whispered as the Dark Sister turned red as blood, on the outside.
"... Please, I am grateful for your lessons but, why like this?" she asked as I stepped closer.
"I am still waiting for my payment, Dark Sister." I demanded in a stern voice. You might be reading a stolen copy. Visit Royal Road for the authentic version. Mei raised her eyes and tried to kiss my cheek, forgetting about the sword. A quick twist, and she fell in my arms for a deep kiss, while my hand grabbed her flower as the sword fell down.
"Mhhmmmm" she complained, but I couldn't care less what a Blood Pact spy wanted. I had to turn her on my side, and in this world, that meant exactly what you think. In a minute, her robes got untied, and my free hand got access to her wet spring, while my mouth conquered her twin peaks.
"Bastard!" she moaned as her body failed and Spring came into her yard. I moved higher and kissed her red lips, while her body trembled in my arms. We stayed like that for an hour, simply caressing her naked body and making her used to my touch.
"I still need three spirit stones, Sister Mei. Your Brother Di took my spirit stone for his tithe, so I need my own. You're rich anyway, right?" I demanded as I grabbed my wooden sword from the floor. Her eyes glowed with murder, but I knew better. Even without the final step, this woman would not have another man. She might even come back willingly. She ran into her small house to grab a fistful of spirit stones, and threw them at me.
"Take it! All you care about is money, right?" I collected my payment, then bowed politely.
"I have to go now, Dark Sister. Let me know if you want another lesson. Those sword techniques are nice, but they can be better." As I walked outside, the two maids ran past me, possibly worried their Young Mistress got defiled by a peasant. I whistled happily and walked away, feeling righteous in my revenge. All was right in the world, until I reached my own courtyard, and found Lina Mu with a Core Realm lady waiting for me. Tian knew her, the Head Librarian... Elder Na Gong.
She died heroically, protecting us when we ran into the Library... in another life.
"Hello, Seniors. What brings you to my humble abode?" I asked politely, and noted that my wives were not present. Likely by intent. Lina pointed a finger at me.
"I told my Elder about your plan to infiltrate the spies' warren. She wants your report. And to check that cultivation method of yours." Ah, so it wasn't about time travel. This wasn't bad at all. I knew I could trust Lina. I nodded towards the Elder.
"Good. Thank you, Sister Lina. You should go now, classified stuff." I asked in a mild voice, and went to get some paper for my written report.
"Pef Tian is right, Lina. There's no need for you to know this, and put you in danger. If only your physique wasn't.... Pef would make a good partner, he is smart and brave." Elder Gong spoke in a wise voice, making Lina blush and get cold at the same time, before she flew out on her sword. Hmmm. This Elder was willing to show me the carrot already? Maybe she already knew about the Yin-Yang Formation then. She was the Head Librarian.
I began writing down my report, including my suspicions about Brother Sing and the concealment formations, and even the strange cloud acting unnatural above me. Once I was done, Elder Gong picked up the papers and read in silence.
"Pretty detailed report. Wouldn't expect such accuracy from a young farm boy." she noted in a curious tone.
"I did read a lot, in the past. Didn't expect Lina to call an Elder... she does seem to care about me." I answered with a smile.
"The first man she can speak with in two decades. It is quite a surprising event for her. What about you, young Pef? Do you like Lina?" she offered with a motherly smile. I nodded eagerly.
"Lina is smart and educated. Maybe a bit antisocial, but she got better lately. Sister Jin even became her friend, and they come here all the time." I said with a wistful voice.
"Uhmmm. I noticed that too. And also noticed where your eyes looked... at her chest, right?" the Elder teased me and made me blush.
"It's only natural, Elder! Such wonders need to be admired.... errr. You're making fun of me." I realized a bit later. The woman laughed gently.
"Not in bad faith, Junior Pef Tian. Lina is obviously a pretty woman, and she deserves love too. I'm sure you noticed her Yin energy getting cold sometimes..." I sighed and poured her some tea.
"It was pretty bad the first times she came here. Now it's ok. Could be better, of course." I allowed in a soft voice. The woman sipped the tea.
"When the spy stuff is over, I will give you two a chance to be together. Are you certain?" she asked in a colder tone. Then she sat the tea aside. Tian took over and nodded firmly.
"Rest assured, Elder Gong. I will make her happy, and keep Lina safe. Plus, that Yin energy is not all bad. I heard of some techniques which can meld it with Yang energy and gain twice more... but I haven't found any of them in the Library." I complained with a sad voice. The Head Librarian sighed.
"Yes, it's possible. And no, you find anything like that in our Library. The Blue Lotus Sect doesn't approve of Dual Cultivation, not even for such a special case like Lina. We will keep that a secret." she spoke in a secretive tone.
"Anyway. I might want to keep Disciple Mei Teshan alive, after. Her father is at Nascent Soul, and could become an enemy instead. Not my choice, of course. But if it's possible and the Venerables approve..." I added in a sneaky tone.
"We'll see. Stay inside your courtyard for two weeks, Pef Tian. Your modified cultivation should carry you into Foundation by then, and you'll be safer. Just cultivate, understood?" the Elder demanded as she stood up. Well, it was an order from a Sect Elder.
"I understand, Senior. Maybe some food can be sent over? I still need to eat..." I asked as I stood up and bowed.
"Haha! I didn't sentence you to waste from hunger, Disciple. Your friends can come over and bring food." she laughed and flew up at speed, without standing on a sword. Much better then. I could sustain myself with spirit stones, but food was better.
