Chương 16: Mission impossible 3

Despite Tian's experience with cultivators and their secrets, my missions were of much earthly quality, thus an earthling was better suited as a movie director. The plot, the characters, motivation, scenery, everything had to fit, not to mention the twist at the end. Tian would have gone directly at the Frozen Pavilion and demanded a trial by sword. In another world, it could also work, but the risks were too high. Being the victim made me safe, being a target did not. So I had to be the victim.
Easily done, to be fair. I was weak and did not need to disguise my strength. All I needed was someone to play the villain. I thought for a moment of the Dark Sister, but villains usually died in the first minute of an action scene, or even faster if they were weak. Venerable Teshan would make a perfect villain, but sadly I didn't know where he was. Make a note and ask his daughter. Anyway. A caravan under attack? It should also work. Someone was attacking caravans in this area, just like I told Sister Jin.
Sadly, the Sparse Ridge was on the other side of the Blue Lotus, and would not be easy to send a beacon from there. And if my own Venerables arrived instead... soul searching wasn't fun. No, I had to be close to the Frozen Pavilion, better if inside their territory. Pef Tian knowledge of this continent was shit, but Tian knew more. He once escorted Lina Mu to an outpost of the Frozen Pavilion, after the Blue Lotus was destroyed.
With a route in mind, I paid for my room for another month, just in case I had to Heartstone back to safety. And fly baby! Riding on a sword hoverboard is amazing, no wonder the Silver Surfer that Pef remembered would never get down. It took me another week to reach the outpost, and I began to scan the surroundings. Once in a while, a family escorted a young girl to get rid off the curse, or someone else held a woman in a cage to sell her. That was my entry! Heroic entry!
"Miscreant! Unhand this woman, or lose your head!" I yelled out loud.
"... Young Master, I have a slaver license! My trade is legal." the scum slaver proclaimed in a brave voice.
"Slavery? Good, if you approve of such practice, you are now my slave! Get in the cage and release that woman, slave!" I demanded after being confused for a second. As they say, power makes right. A flying cultivator was obviously powerful. In a minute, I locked the slaver in the cage, and offered the surprised woman some tea.
"You realize there is a Frozen Outpost in sight, young hero? I would become an outer disciple anyway..." the woman pointed out in a logical voice. I scratched my head, since my mission was fucked.
"Being a hero is hard..." I muttered to myself. The woman laughed, genuinely amused or impressed.
"If you cross the border, your actions would be heroic indeed. Slavery is illegal in the Blue Lotus territory. On this side is not." she added and blew over tea. Damn it. I thought about walking away, but it was a pity. So I stayed and finished my tea, until another woman in azure robes descended from the sky.
"Mistress! I was illegally imprisoned! And this man kidnapped my slave!" the guy in the cage yelled. The Core cultivator glared at me, then glanced at the woman drinking tea.
"Is that true?"
"... I should not say, honored Elder. Repaying good with evil is not right." the woman spoke in a kind voice, defending me.
"Go back to your Blue Lotus lands, young disciple. The laws are different, this side of the border." the Core Elder decided, and urged me to flee.
"Sure, I can do that, Elder. But this man is my slave now, so I will take him with me." I decided to act on, and climbed on the carriage.
"Mistress! I have a permit!" the man yelled in his cage, as I flicked my qi to make the horses run.
"Did that mortal say anything? I couldn't hear him..." the Elder whispered and sat down to drink my tea as well. Sadly, my senses weren't good enough to hear the rest, but I think I made my first friend in the Frozen Pavilion. Or maybe the third, If I counted from the start. I ran the horses over the border, then stopped.
"Slaver. Start talking before I start cutting." I demanded after kicking his cage open. It took a dozen fingers and a nose, but eventually I got everything I needed. Including an illegal slave camp, on this side of the border. The next stage of my mission was ready. Now I only needed to liberate an entire slave camp, and get rescued in time. Easy! I mean, easy if you have an Yin beacon. Otherwise, it's silly. A second copy of the letter awaited in my storage bag, identical to the first.
A scammer had to stick to a template, after all. In a few hours, by flight, I located the said slave camp, right where the scum slaver said it would be. There were 19 Foundation and 3 Core guards in this camp, which was a bit much. Well, normally, I mean. A Nascent Soul would cut them down as easily as I did with the mortal slaver. I began setting down my Formations, and my bedroll to prevent dirt and friction burns. And beep, beep!
The beacon lit up, and I ran into combat, throwing my iron nails at the guards, and even managed to kill two of them with a head shot! Take that, Tian!
"Rise up! Down with slavery! For Freeeedooom!" I yelled at the surprised victims.
"Someone silence that fool" I head a bored Core Realm order to his minions, since he was drinking and was not about to stand up for me. I threw a dozen more nails, but the surprise was gone, so I ran away. On foot, like a fool. A dozen Foundation cultivators surrounded me, and struggled to parry my nails, when the sky froze.
"Kill the slavers! Rise up for freeedom!" I yelled while cutting down a confused slaver. Then I froze as well, as an Ice Domain locked me down.
"Is your name Pef Tian?" a fairy voice asked behind me.
"If you're here to support slavery, then no!" I answered with some effort. And gentle hand touched my shoulder, and the slavers all exploded into shards of ice.
"Satisfied now, Pef Tian?" the woman asked as we flew up. This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it"Damn it. I only killed 3 of them! You stole my glory..." I muttered in fake anger.
"Amusing. Let's go back to that pool. You have a lot to answer for, young hero." the Nascent Soul decided and flew at blurring speed, until we returned to the burned out ruins. As we descended over the pool, I remembered I haven't primed the Yin-Yang Formation. Oh well.
"Are you the one who owes me 2 spirit stones, fairy?" I asked to make sure. Sadly, another fairy waited me by the pool, without a veil. Uh. That must be my woman.
"I have your spirit stones, Pef Tian." the second fairy spoke in a cold voice, then dropped the stones on the ground. Damn it. Mission fail! Abort! I sighed out loud.
"You didn't have to look for me so fast. I told you next year!" I argued and went to pick up my stones.
"I'll let you two figure it out. Let me know if I have to buy a red dress for you, Quinhue." the other fairy spoke in amusement, then vanished.
"Do you drink tea, Fairy Quinhue?" I asked gently, and started preparing tea anyway.
"I suppose I do. Ice tea." she spoke in a strange voice.
"My wife Lina also has the Yin Meridian, you know? She got better recently." I said in a kind voice, and poured tea for both of us.
"I suspected as such, since you are not frozen into an icicle. How old are you, Pef Tian?" the fairy asked gently.
"This flower is 16 years old, fairy Quinhue. Tian is much older though." I said in a modest voice, and sipped my tea.
"... A similar flower? Another life?" she asked in surprise.
"Pretty much, yes. On this continent, Tian would be the oldest man alive. There are much older people on the Central Continent though. Tian met all of them." I said with a shrug, and saw the woman nod.
"What about Pef?" she asked curios.
"We don't talk about Pef. He is not from this world." I declined politely. The fairy laughed and drew closer.
"Should I prepare a red dress, Pef Tian?" she asked in a teasing voice.
"Next year, yes. Until then, we can become friends, and I'll help you with Soul Transformation. It's a bit tricky in this place, but I can do it." I spoke confidently, and poured more tea.
"Oh dear. You are serious." she exclaimed.
"Fate is funny sometimes. It's your luck, but only if you cling to it." I sighed and sipped more tea.
"Why did you charge into a slaver camp, if you're so weak?" she asked instead. I shrugged.
"I am not weak though. Tian is a dozen realms stronger. I just don't like calling on him." I grumbled like a farm boy out of his farm.
"A dozen realms? I know of two more. And there is no Body Integration method..." the Nascent Soul whispered in awe.
"You'll need to pay an extra stone for every new realm you ascend. My milk is precious." I argued in a serious voice. Fairy Quinhue stared at me for a minute, then fell on her back laughing. I wasn't joking though. Making friends with my new wife was surprisingly easy, given the circumstances. Then again, I didn't rape her or anything too bad. Just a bit of fluid exchange, which benefited her as much as me.
"Your story is pretty much unbelievable, you know?" she asked as I stood up.
"I heard of worse. Well, the other flowers. Pef Tian was born on a farm, and joined the Blue Lotus with a dream. His childhood friend joined too, a lovely girl called Qin Lin. But if Tian didn't come back... Lin would die at Foundation. Jin would die horribly... Na Gong too. Only Lina made it to your Frozen Pavilion." I said while taking out the Yin-Yang plate.
"Is that a weapon?" Quinhue asked suspicious.
"This? Well, it is mostly medicine. It's how I cured Lin and Lina. And you as well, my fairy. Just examine it and see if you can sense how it works." I offered and handed her the plate. The Nascent Soul fairy grabbed the Formation plate, and glanced over it at me.
"This better not be a trap." she warned me. I shrugged. That trap was used already. Then I just waited, and waited.
"Huh. Whatever this is, I can't read anything. I can charge it and then activate it, but nothing else." I sighed and took my plate back.
"Let's not do that here." I whispered as I stored the plate in my bag, then walked closer and embraced Quinhue. Then I triggered the Heartstone, and we appeared in my room at the inn.
"That was... a spatial Formation?" she wondered as I looked inside my bag and found my old blue robes. I covered her white robes with the less scary blue ones, and tied the robes on her thin waist.
"If you're asking Pef Tian, he is a 16 years old farm boy. Now come, we need to do some shopping for your soul." I demanded taking her hand and walking out. Quinhue followed me in a slight daze, perhaps not used to being held by the hand, or ordered around. I entered the first alchemy shop and chose a dozen herbs, and pointed Quinhue at the counter. I wasn't going to pay for her. She wasn't even my wife yet!
"Right, how much are these?" she asked the old woman at the counter.
"For such a pretty disciple like you, 30 spirit stones." the scamming woman asked shamelessly. I placed 3 stones on the counter, and grabbed the 30 stones that Quinhue took out.
"Keep the change, old hag." I muttered and walked out.
"Wait... did she ask 10 times the price?" Quinhue realized as I walked into the next shop. I declined to answer. Rich people truly had no idea of the real life. Maybe I was selling my milk too cheap. From there on, I kept buying stuff for myself, and only asked for more stones when the fairy's 30 stones got spent.
"I appreciate your help, Pef Tian. But I don't mind a few stones..." the fairy whispered as we entered a larger shop.
"Tier 5 pills are not cheap, Quinhue. No matter how many stones you have now, or your sect for that matter, it won't be enough. If they were, your sect won't be stuck at Nascent Realm." I answered in a low growl, and went on to buy resources by the crate.
"Ah. Tian would know what to do, I see." the fairy realized a bit too late.
"Tian is not born in this world yet. And Pef died like a fool. It's only Pef Tian and a bunch of useless memories. I told you it won't be easy. I can do it, but you have to help too." I answered as we came out of the shop and we walked back to my inn.
"... I am so confused." Quinhue said, her eyes in a daze. After I closed the door, I took out a Concealment plate and powered up its field.
"I'd prefer not to talk about the future and the Immortal Realm. Not even under concealment. Just know some things have to happen, and if people find out... the entire world gets erased again, I guess." I muttered as I took out my alchemy cauldron and started crafting pills, a dozen at a time. Quinhue watched me perform Alchemy, while her mind spun in circles.
"I should have known... a dozen realms higher." she whispered to herself.
"The price of failure is too high, my sweet fairy. If you are certain, you can join me on my journey too. The next 10 realms are well within reach, especially if we make it to the Central Continent, where Tian knows all the secrets. The last two realms... well. Pef might be useful then." I spoke in a mystical voice, as if the world was my oyster. She might be a Nascent Soul... but Quinhue was still human. The temptation of 10 more ascensions being 'well within reach' was so immense I could sense her brain melt.
The cauldron opened to reveal a dozen High-grade Tier 2 pills, the best I could make with my low cultivation. I gave them to my fairy, and began making more.
"I've never seen anyone make a dozen pills at once. And they are all High-grade!" she exclaimed as the next batch came out.
"Tian can make 19 Supreme-grade Tier 4 pills at once. Too bad the fool never kept learning to reach Tier 5. Always the sword and fighting duels. When I meet his master, we will have a few words." I grumbled in a disgusted voice, and kept making pills. The third batch came out at Supreme-grade, but still only 12 of them. I might be bad mouthing Tian, but he was a true genius. Quinhue began making tea, and wiped the sweat from my forehead. I guess she was a bit impressed by now.
I stopped for tea after the fifth batch, and glanced over the cup at my future wife.
"I am sorry I dragged you into this. The Shadow Master kept taking sect missions into those ruins, and I wanted to find out his secrets. I caught you instead." I offered with a sad voice. She nodded gently.
"I get it. If Teshan truly has that pit of corpses, he didn't gather them by himself. The Blood Pact is helping him, and they have spies everywhere. Anyway, perhaps I don't mind being caught. You're already quite capable, and will grow immensely strong." Quinhue whispered and poured a bit more tea for me.
"I could grow even faster... if we drink again. And you too." I said with a grin, and glanced at the bed. Quinhue blinked, then glanced at the bed as well.
"Just drinking?" she asked to make sure.
"Pure Yin is much better for my cultivation. But my milk will cost... 5 spirit stones. You don't know how to use the stones without my help." I demanded in a greedy voice. The fairy laughed gently and came to kiss my cheek.
"You're too much, Pef Tian! But in a good way. I can see why your wives got caught too." she whispered shyly, and began taking off her robes. I took out the Yin-Yang plate and placed it on the table.
"Then you do the honors, my lady. Charge then activate. We should both gain a cultivation level until next morning." Quinhue blinked, then did the honors. Her eyes glazed with love, and we climbed on the bed to drink. Her body was perfect, and I could drink from her Yin spring for a week, but the plate had a battery limit, which lasted barely a few hours. Still, Quinhue woke up with my dick in her mouth, and gulped the last spurt of tasty milk. Her eyes widened in surprise, and she gave me another lick.
I held 5 fingers out for my payment, and her eyes twinkled. I guess we were friends already.
