Arthur's requirement was to find a tanker that could stop any attack aimed at himself. When he thought about the middle-aged man from the Old-Mining district, he felt he wanted someone like him. The attack of that mutated monster was vicious, even sending Lena and Edgar flying. however, that middle-aged man tanked that tail attack. Hence, if he could find a Skeleton warrior, he could travel even deep into Luck Forest; he would not be worried about his safety.
With that in mind, he searched the Skeletons from Beginner to Master Professional Status. Only if he found anyone from that status could he hire them, and in that way, he could be one step closer to the system quest completion. Worker Status Name: Quay. Designation: Shield Warrior Specialist: Shield. Professional Status: Expert Monthly Maintenance Cost (MMC): 5000 Credits Contract Payment: Bucket of Tempest Wyvern Meat, Bucket of Thunderfin Tuna. Originally, Arthur felt joy when he read this skeleton worker.
however, he noticed the contract payment asked for a Bucket of Wyvern Meat and Thunderfin Tuna. These monsters only resided in Gates, and they were not even dungeon monsters. Furthermore, the cost would be enormous. Hence, he had no choice but to slash the workers. He went through other workers as well. He could see a lot of Spearmen, Ranger-type warriors, and Swordsmen. There were even Grandmaster statuses available. However, to hire them, he solely needed materials, which he lacked.
While he checked, his eyes suddenly laid on a worker. Its designation was listed as 'Titan'. Arthur clicked open the details, reading what it was. Worker Status Name: Red. Designation: Titan Specialist: Hammer. Professional Status: Master Monthly Maintenance Cost (MMC): 10000 Credits Contract Payment: 100 Kg Moonsteel. Arthur's heart beat madly when he saw the designation Titan. However, what did a Titan actually do? Was the Skeleton as big as a Titan? He was completely unsure.
As for the Contract Payment, it was a single material called Moonsteel. What Moonsteel was, he had absolutely no idea. Following which, he quickly searched the Awakening Database, discovering it was an ore only available in Dungeons. It was a relatively rare element. A single kilogram of Moonsteel cost 10, 000 Credits, which meant he needed a million Credits to form a contract. Currently, such an action was impossible. However, this Titan name greatly intrigued Arthur.
Once he earned a lot of money, he would naturally form a contract. For now, he selected a Tanker who used a Door Shield with an Intermediate Status. Even this contract would completely drain all the money he currently held. Worker Status Name: Maan. Designation: Shield Warrior This narrative has been purloined without the author's approval. Report any appearances on Amazon. Specialist: Shield.
Professional Status: Intermediate Monthly Maintenance Cost (MMC): 2000 Credits Contract Payment: Stack of Bloodroot, 10 Momme Milky Silk. Arthur felt the skeleton Maan would be perfect for him due to his financial situation. When he checked the payment material costs, the database showed it would cost him 15, 000 Credits for a stack of Bloodroot and 30, 000 Credits for the Milky Silk. This amount was half the wealth he currently possessed. However, he felt it was necessary to hire a tanker for his safety.
With that decided, he applied for the quest taken option. It would indicate who had taken the quest, and with the ID linked, the owner of the quest would be indicated. With it, the quest would be assigned to Arthur until he reverted the quest. If he came back and canceled it, he would be fined 500 Credits. When he succeeded, the completed details would be sent to the quest owner. Only then would Arthur get paid. Following which, he left the building. First, he needed to buy the contract payment Materials for Maan.
Once the contract was formed, he might have to check if it possessed a shield. If it did not possess any shield, he would have no choice but to buy a shield. Furthermore, he might have to buy a sword for Coburn. Alternatively, he could forge an Iron Longsword in his shop, saving some Credits. At the very least, he would save 15, 000 Credits, which was the appraisal amount of the Longsword. Arthur hailed a taxi towards Dooner Street in Inner Sector B.
He did not visit Mawman Material Shop, even though he would save a 10% discount. He felt it was completely unnecessary to visit after the incident that had already occurred. Hence, he found another Material Shop on the same street, spending a total of 45, 000 Credits to purchase the two materials. Afterward, he once again hailed a taxi to Outer Sector B. After an hour had passed, he reached the shop and pushed open the shutter.
The first thing he did was summon Bathory and Coburn, ordering them to forge another [Iron Longsword]. Without any delay, they immediately started. He walked to the back of the room and unwrapped the materials. Afterward, he selected the worker and willed the contract. Within moments, the materials vanished, and a message appeared before his eyes. [Contract Payment Successful.] Worker Status Name: Maan Designation: Shield Warrior Specialist: Shield.
Professional Status: Intermediate (2000 successful Delta Standard Kills to become Expert Status) Monthly Maintenance Cost: 2, 000 Credits. [More Details…] Arthur checked the details, discovering everything was good. To move from Intermediate status to Expert, Maan needed to kill 2, 000 Delta standard monsters. It was an enormous target. However, he did not worry about that for now. he clicked on 'More Details' to check what kind of details a Shield Warrior possessed.
This was because the Blacksmith had a Blueprint index, which was necessary for its profession. Innate Abilities Name: Fortress Stance Details: Raises the shield into a defensive stance, greatly increasing Defense but lowering movement speed. Name: Shield Charge Details: Rushes forward with the shield raised, knocking enemies aside. Name: Fortress Breaker Details: A powerful shield strike on an incoming target. There was a total of three Innate Abilities, and they were very powerful.
Currently, Arthur felt somewhat confident he could hunt down the boar. He also felt he could be safe from the incoming attacks from enemies. Once he was satisfied with the abilities, he closed the screen and willed the summon. He wanted to see how the Shield Warrior looked, and whether it came with a shield or not. Within moments, a strange round diagram appeared, and a towering skeleton revealed itself from within. To Arthur's surprise, it was holding a shield made of wood and metal that looked like a door.
Arthur was inwardly overjoyed, as he did not need to spend any Credits to buy a cheap shield. Only Coburn had come without any tools or weapons. The other skeletons, such as Bathory, came with their own hammer, and now Maan came with a shield. Arthur was very happy. Maan was the tallest skeleton among the three he owned, possessing a large ribcage. It did not wear any armor; it looked like a naked skeleton, only holding a shield adhering to its body. Did these skeletons not need to wear armor? Arthur did not know.
Perhaps if he were to buy armor, its strength would increase. For now, however, it had no choice but to work in its naked body of bones. Satisfied with the hiring, Arthur walked towards the two skeletons who were working meticulously to forge the sword. Once they finished, he would depart to Luck Forest. His target was the [Blind Hunk Boar], which weighed at least 500 kg for an average adult. Hence, he had to target a small boar, since the requirement was only 100 kg.
