Arthur took the taxi to Outer Sector B. As he opened the Marketplace again, he frantically checked the details in multiple tabs. Though he thought and did what he thought, he felt a little reluctant about the decision he had just made. However, once he checked the details of the Beginner and Intermediate, he felt relieved about his abrupt decision. He might have to struggle to achieve hiring an Expert and Master worker, since every payment was enormous. But, he believed he could do it.
With that thought, he closed the Marketplace. He lay behind the taxi seat, thinking what to do. Soon, a roadmap was created in his mind. He would try to take a quest commission first, to see what type of quest he could take and the commission range. Once he was comfortable, he would take more paid quests.
Arthur returned back within 30 minutes from the shop he rented and he entered the Mawman Materials shop. From the doorstep, he could see the old man was present. He quickly walked towards him.
"Hello, sir. I have talked to your granddaughter, and she explained the norm of your family. She believes that I have tricked you into this contract. I urge you to tell the truth about our contract being genuine, and you were 100% you when we made the contract with lawyers and other people," Arthur said. Meanwhile, the old man stood silently.
"As I told your granddaughter, the contract we established will be abolished from here on out. Thank you for listening to my desire and giving a chance to that desire. However, I am not sure I am capable of holding this establishment. I am not strong enough." Arthur handed over the License and the contract he tore in half.
"Thank you, I will see you around." Arthur gave a slight nod. Following which, he turned around and walked away from the shop. Again, Arthur hailed a taxi, asking to go to the Awakening Head office. He would check what the quest board held for him.
The Awakening Head office was busy as usual. Since Arthur held the Awakened sigil, he confidently walked inside, navigating towards the quest boards area. It was located on the ground floor. It was a big hall with big digital translucent screens, listing a numerous number of quests with commissions. Furthermore, there was a section with personal translucent screens where individuals could search for a specific quest. Arthur noticed an empty cabinet. He quickly walked over. It required the Awakened ID.
Once Arthur entered it, he was into the quest details, starting to go through them one by one. There were a lot of filter options available. He quickly filtered the rewards from 10, 000 Credits to 20, 000 Credits. Immediately, a lot of quests were filtered out. [Quest Details] Name: Goblin Camp Raid Details: Needs party members with Delta Standard to destroy a Goblin camp estimated to contain 20 to 30 monsters. Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
Reward: 15, 000 Credits Name: Delta Standard Dungeon Raid Details: Needs Healing party member with Delta or higher Standard. Reward: 18, 000 Credits Name: Ogre Elimination Details: Two party members needed to eliminate a Mature Stone Ogre group that roams at the [Thus Forest.] Reward: 20, 000 Credits The filter Arthur entered seemed to be too much for him. Every requirement was dangerous. Furthermore, every quest asked for party members with a high standard, which he severely lacked.
He had yet to observe his first core. With a disappointed look, he cleared the filter. He then re-entered the filter for quests within the 5, 000 to 10, 000 Credits range. Name: Crystal Ore Mining Escort (Rogue Mining) Details: Protect miners while they extract Crystal Ore for six hours. Reward: 8, 000 Credits This quest seemed to be reasonable. It was a simple escort mission to stay on guard for miners. However, it was Rogue Mining.
Rogue mining was done at unprotected places, such as amidst a forest where dangerous predators took shelter. It was similar to the Old Mining District. Again, Arthur felt he might not be fit for the job yet. Name: Blind Hunk Boar Meat(Alpha Standard) Details: Require 100 kg of Blind Hunk Boar Meat. Duration: 24 hours Reward: 10, 000 Credits Arthur read the quest, immediately feeling he could take it. With the strength of Coburn, he could definitely hunt the Hunk Boar. He clicked the quest.
Following which, more details expanded regarding the owner of the quest.
"Vienna Restaurant." It was located in Inner Sector C, which was not too far from where he lived. There were four main sectors in Faith City. Sector A was located at the heart of the city. Sector B was on the west, whereas Sector C was located at the north. Finally, Sector D spread through the east and south; it was the biggest sector in Faith City. He could take this quest. However, he had to do some research on where the Hunk Boars resided. If it was the Thus Forest, he would not step foot into it.
It was a dangerous place to go without observing any core or possessing any combat ability. Arthur quickly opened the browser, searching for the details. He found a lot of data from the Awakening Database website, a place where Awakeners uploaded data and earned credits. Because of that, he found every detail regarding the Hunk Boar's location, its appearance, and the methods to kill them as a party or solo. The discovery surprised Arthur. The details were free of charge; he did not need to pay anything.
'I should buy a digital pad. It will definitely help me search for the details which I lack.' The Hunk Boar prominently resided in the Luck Forest. This was a good thing for Arthur, as the Luck Forest was not dangerous if he did not wander too deep. He could definitely hunt the Hunk Boar with the help of Coburn. However, would Coburn be enough to hunt the towering boar which Arthur was currently viewing on the website? The beast was basically blind, which made things difficult.
Because they detected enemies by vibration and sound, it was more dangerous than seeing through eyes. If they relied on sight, he could take cover behind trees and bushes to escape. However, with vibration and sound, the beast would easily detect its enemies' locations, allowing it to attack or escape easily.
'I may need to hire some bodyguards for myself,' he thought. Currently, he had 80, 000 Credits. He would use it without any issue to hire workers. Since he did not need to worry about buying materials for forging anymore, he could spend all that money to hire skeleton workers for himself. He would slowly complete the quest. Since his path would be dangerous hereafter because he was going to take quests, he might need to hire some warrior-type skeletons instead of professionals like a blacksmith.
With that thought, he opened the marketplace and directly went to the [Others] tab. That was where miscellaneous job skeletons were listed. Once the page loaded, Arthur saw a plethora of different skeleton workers. Even teachers were available for hiring, along with advisers, managers, warriors, drivers, servants, etc. Arthur saw skeleton workers that could do anything he wished. However, his current plan was to form a contract with a Tanker.
