"Don't you want to inform your superiors and even the owner?" Arthur asked.
"That won't be necessary. I will inform them later on. So now, let us talk about the partnership and profit details," the old man continued. Hearing the confident declaration about informing the owners, Arthur was immediately shocked. He could not help but wonder what position the old man actually held in the shop. Could it be that he was the CEO of the company? However, he currently carried out a salesman's job. Suddenly, these thoughts ran through his mind.
"So, I assume you have awakened the Blacksmith Class," the old man spoke again.
"Oh yes, you can say that," Arthur replied reluctantly. He hesitated on whether to show his Skelton workers, as they had not yet signed a contract. Meanwhile, the old man shot a side glance towards Arthur.
"Okay, let us discuss the profit sharing details. The profit sharing will be decided based on how much work you take care of and how much capital you invest in the branch," the old man said.
"I will take care of everything. All I require from you is the license and the rights to sell the swords in your store," Arthur declared his conditions. Hearing Arthur's declaration, the old man sat silently for a moment. Currently, all Arthur needed was the license; if he obtained it, he would start everything step by step. As long as he had the license, he could sell the swords anywhere. He did not necessarily need to sell them in their shop.
"Since you will take care of everything, including the capital, we will split the profits twenty to eighty. Twenty percent of the profit will go to us, and you can keep the remaining eighty percent for yourself," the old man said.
"What do you say? Do you think this is a fair share?" Arthur gave the proposal some thought. An eighty-twenty profit share appeared genuine, considering they were providing the license. Moreover, if any legal issues were to arise, those would also be placed on their tab. Hence, all he needed to do was expand his factory, sell the swords, and earn money.
"Yes, I am fine with that, as long as you take care of all the legal issues that come afterward," Arthur agreed. He then stood up, extending his hand to seal the agreement with a handshake.
"No problem. Mawman Corporation will take care of all the legal procedures and issues, if any," the old man said, extending his hand. The two of them agreed to their partnership with a firm handshake. After the discussions were done, the proper agreement and contract creation took a few hours. Lawyers arrived with the proper documents, starting the process of the branch opening in Outer Sector B.
When the sun was about to set, the old man walked towards Arthur, who sat in the waiting area, handing over the documents.
"This is the contract agreement bound by the Union Government, and this is the certificate to legally open a branch shop in Outer Sector B. If any officials come and ask about permission, you show this, and they will go away," the old man explained as he handed over the two documents. The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.
"I wish you all the best. May our partnership grow big and earn a lot of profit," the old man finally said.
"Thank you!" Arthur replied. He could not believe he was currently holding a document that was the equivalent of an Industrial License. Now, he did not need to pay the 100, 000 deposit, nor did he have to hassle over a license anymore.
"Once you settle the shop, let me know; I will visit. As for the products to be sold, directly send or bring them to this address. I will take care of the sales," the old man said. Arthur could not believe his job could be eased this much. If the old man took care of the advertisements and sales, all he needed to do was concentrate on maintaining his forging shop. Naturally, he did not need to worry about anything else.
"I will definitely do that. I will bring a few product samples tomorrow," Arthur said with a confident smile. Following which, he gave a final greeting and left the shop with his brother. When the brothers stepped out of the shop, the sun had fully set and darkness permeated the surroundings. Although he did not do any hard work, he still felt tired. At the same time, an unexplainable energy was circulating within his body. The day was a mix of emotions, and he had experienced many ups and downs.
Without delay, he walked towards the Bruchmann Utility Shop. He was going to buy the Blacksmith toolkit, since he currently held the license. When they entered the shop once again, the same lady hurriedly walked towards them, her face revealing a hint of surprise.
"Welcome back, esteemed sir. How was your venture to obtain a license?" the saleswoman asked.
"It was a disaster," Arthur said.
"Indeed, obtaining an Industrial License is extremely difficult," the saleswoman said, trying to comfort him.
"I would like to take a look at that Medium-grade toolkit," Arthur requested. Suddenly, an expression of extreme shock appeared on the saleswoman's face.
"Do you wish to purchase it even without a license?" she asked in a surprised tone.
"Yes," Arthur confidently said.
"I am not sure if the shop will allow that. You may need to present a license before purchasing," the saleswoman explained the reasons why a license was required.
"Currently, a large number of black market products are circulating. Hence, the regulations dictate that shops must confirm they are selling tools to genuine customers. Otherwise, we will face charges if our tools are used to produce black market items." Arthur was slightly confused by these bizarre conditions. It was not as if he were purchasing advanced technologies. These were simply tools that could be produced by anyone who possessed the knowledge. Requiring a license just to purchase them made no sense.
However, Arthur did not wish to haggle with the saleswoman. He simply retrieved the branch license agreement from his side bag and showed it to the woman. Currently, he only wished to purchase the tools and leave the place. The saleswoman received the document and started reading through its contents, her face filling with surprise and shock. Arthur could feel that her reaction was only natural. Since the morning, he had been unaware of the license and how hard it was to obtain.
Now, seeing the same person return with a branch license, anyone would undoubtedly be shocked.
"Do you think this is enough to buy the tools?" Arthur asked.
"I guess so," she replied in a reluctant tone.
"However, let me check with my higher-ups just to confirm. This way, we can avoid any additional issues once the transaction is done." The moment she finished speaking, she quickly dashed towards a different section of the shop. Arthur was dumbfounded by her actions, becoming slightly agitated. He had gone to great lengths to obtain that license. If something were to happen to it, he would be devastated. Hence, he quickly walked towards the direction she went.
To his surprise, he discovered the woman standing near the billing section, currently talking to a fat old man. As Arthur slowly walked towards them, the old man's eyes shifted towards Arthur and his brother.
