An awkward silence filled my Dao Grotto, before Petunia burst in laughter.
"You chose death? Haha!" she snickered, and her eyes gleamed with mirth.
"Well, it is what the blue lady said, and I have to stick with the one who pays the bill. You might die before I get any money..." I argued like a great scammer.
"Yuan Qiaochu... you want me to die, while you enjoy life for a million more years? And all for the low cost of sucking a dick? What, you forgot we can share?" Petunia growled at her old friend. Blue Rose winked.
"Pef Tian said it first. It is a low chance. What if you become a milk slut, and still die? It would be such a pity..." she argued with a joking tone.
"Anything I can do to speed up the process? You're a fairy doctor, surely you know a lot of things." Petunia asked in a serious voice. I sighed and took out my boyscout bed, to sit on it.
"There are a few things. For example, you could recall Sage Su from that outpost, and give her to me. We have a past together, or maybe a future? Anyway, a small thing like this could shave off 200 years from my cultivation. Maybe a few more Sages, if they are willing." I asked in a thoughtful voice.
"That Sage woman, Autumn Rain, for example?" Blue Rose proposed with a sly voice.
"About that... you should move the entire Autumn Leaves Sect here. There will be a major demonic war soon, and they all die. Thousands of flowers, eaten alive, or maybe dead." I added in a sad voice. Petunia and Rose exchanged a wary glance.
"This sounds bad, especially for the low realm women. How long do we have?"
"Wars do not start on a fixed date. Plus, I already started it, exterminating the Black Leech sect, but there are always some who escape and reach other demonic sects. They grow and come for revenge. Not that they don't see women as their favorite food anyway." I said with a careless shrug.
"Let's go talk to Willow too. Snowdrop should also come back in a year or less." Petunia decided, and took us outside, then watched me collect the Great Sage corpse. Violet was here too, likely wondering why a Sage corpse was used as meeting place with the Dao Kings.
"Pef Tian... are you in trouble?" she asked with worry.
"Me? I'm just peachy, my love. Blue Rose just asked to suck my dick, so I'm good." I said with a wink, only for the Dao King to lift me by the ear.
"Shut your mouth, scumbag! Don't spread slander and false rumors." she demanded with an angry voice. I didn't want to fight a pretty woman, so I countered with a tickle attack, which kinda worked as the Dao King was so surprised she let go.
"Don't make me use the big dick to slap you, Yuan Qiaochu! Look, my ear is red and hurts now!" I argued like a victim. My maids blinked at the homely argument, while Blue Rose blushed and ran ahead.
"Forget all that, little girls. Violet, go bring Sage Su here, since our doctor needs another maid. Let's go, Pef Tian!" Bronze Petunia demanded in a level voice, veiled in the gravitas and face of a Dao King at once. I didn't have to do anything, since the blonde Dao King grabbed me with her Domain and we vanished. Three seconds later, we reached the Million Dao Palace where four tall pagodas marked the sitting Dao Kings, plus lots of flower gardens, promenade alleys and a few small lakes.
I pointed at a lake covered in blue lotus flowers.
"I want an island there, and a small villa. For my wives, which means only Siao for now."
"The Six-Yin Sacred Body, right? With the purple hair... at least her Daoist name will be easy to pick, once she becomes a Sage." Petunia nodded gently, and held my hand as we walked inside the green painted pagoda, flanked by a pair of tall willow trees. Blue Rose was here, while my Green Willow was already making tea.
"Can you teach me the Willow Kick style, Pef Tian? I would be grateful." Pef perked up, but this was not the kind of favor I wanted to ask.
"You heard her, both of you! Green Willow wants me to beat her up. And... she even wants to give me 10% of her entire wealth for that. Is it too little, Yuan Qiaochu?" I asked with a cheeky smile, and rubbed my red ear. The Blue haired Dao King sighed, and picked up her tea cup.
"I will pay you 20% of my wealth, fairy doctor. 10% upfront, the rest after I am healed." she offered in a decent bargain for her precious life. Well, for a little Saint, that would be a good start indeed. I could make lots of pills, and even craft some Formations and talismans.
"Autumn Rain has the same Fire and Metal meridians like the Azure Sword and Sun Sword Emperors. I can make her a Dao King, if she chooses the Sword. The techniques will be cheap, since I invented a few hundreds in another life. But a Tier 7 sword is not that cheap. And I will need one for myself too. Just in case I have to kill a few hundred Sages." I began after picking up my own tea cup. Blue Rose nodded in agreement.
"That's about 19% of my wealth. And you will need herbs for alchemy too. Tier 6 pills are already quite expensive... especially if you fail a thousand pills to learn." she mused in a thoughtful voice. Damn it! Why are these people so poor? Two swords and most of my money are gone already.
"I do not fail like that, pretty rose. My failures are low-grade pills, unless I invent a new recipe. Those do tend to fail a hundred times until I figure out how to raise their quality. Maybe I should rent an alchemy teacher for a year, get to learn more." I answered with a casual voice, not quite flexing since a Dao King couldn't care less about Tier 5 pills. Stolen story; please report.
"The Demonifuge and Demonbane pills should sell very well, Pef Tian. And we will buy 1000 of each, for your own disciples." Green Willow offered in a kind voice, making me suspicious for some reason. A bribe? Or just a good deal with the local fairy doctor.
"Yes, wars are always very profitable for merchants and crafters, and a smart person can even calculate the time the war will start by how weapon and healing pill prices jump up, as the market reacts to increased demand. You do monitor these things, right?" I asked using Pef's knowledge, since Tian was an idiot. Petunia sighed, and took out some papers.
"I guess we should also start stockpiling weapons and pills in advance. Before prices grow too much." she whispered while writing down budgets and other monetary calculations. I pointed at Green Willow.
"The money you owe me, you will invest them into protective talismans and healing pills. Transforming those 10% into 100% via war exploitation should be immoral, right? And make me as rich a Dao King!" I proclaimed like an Immoral Emperor, who was growing up now and was still poor. The three Dao Kings glanced at each other, then turned towards me like guided missiles.
"We have so much to learn! Perhaps our sect will gain a few ranks, if we grow a bit richer and can afford more resources." Petunia said in a wise voice, ready to write down my words like scripture. The Million Flowers Valley was much better than the Frozen Pavilion at managing finances, but they still lacked everything Pef knew about modern finance and global trade.
"Jade coins! Our sect needs to establish a proper currency, backed by a treasury in spirit stones. We just have to make sure that merchants and auction houses in the vicinity accept the new coins as payment methods. Different jade colors, different Dao imprints, thus different assigned values. For example, green jade is most common, it will be worth 10 spirit stones. Blue jade 100, red 1000, purple 10000.
And to counteract counterfeits, Sages can mark green jade and blue coins, Grand Sages the red ones, while purple ones will bear the mark of a Dao King." I proposed as my first administrative and fiscal reform. Banking will come later. I was already overhauling the sect's medical system, and helping with training, but this was a true policy change, which could make me really rich. Basically a pyramid scheme, with an Immoral Emperor on top. Me, of course!
"Long Yifei? Do you understand what he wants?" Blue Rose asked her blonde sister. Bronze Petunia nodded slowly, already writing down at speed.
"It almost looks like a demonic plan to steal all the real currency and replace it with our worthless coins. But we don't have enough Sages for this to work. The green jade coins can be crafted by Saints... too bad we had to execute 41 of them, because Pef Tian spotted them as demonic spies." she blamed me for some reason. As if those weren't enemies already.
"May I point out, some of these sexy spies can be turned, or at least help me cultivate faster for a while. Enemies are resources too! Don't waste them..." I muttered at the lost opportunity. That was almost a new Saint level I just lost!
"Ignore the immoral suggestions, sisters. I think I would have liked the Sword idiot more, than this scheming scumbag, ready to rape an enemy for a slight increase in cultivation." Green Willow said with a righteous voice. Damn it! Don't read my surface thoughts again. Maybe if I asked Blue Rose to kneel in front of me and suck my dick? Would that solve the problem? Green Willow glared at me, and her older sister patted her hand.
"How many men have you met, little Binhue? Is Pef Tian not a man? At least he is on our side, which will make us rich and much stronger. Plus, those maids of his are always thinking about the same thing: when is their turn to suck more dick. How long has it been since they tasted the miracle milk? Why is Violet stealing all their milk now?" Blue Rose revealed the strange thoughts of my maids. I didn't mind, but my women should be thinking more about cultivation... only they cultivated with my milk... damn it.
I caused this. Why was my milk so tasty? Petunia giggled and tapped her papers.
"Focus, Pef Tian. So, will the Saints suffice for the jade coins?" she asked the point.
"In principle, yes. Another Saint could of course overwrite their imprints, or fake new ones, but for 10 spirit stones? Who would bother? Only a few, and we can hunt them down as an example to scare the rest. Confiscate their properties as well, as illicit gains from coin counterfeits. It might be even profitable..." I said with a competent voice. Pef knew this stuff well. His ill-gained properties were confiscated in 70 separate jurisdictions. How the wheel turns.
One life you get robbed, then another life you rob others. I thought for another minute, then scowled. It was a bad idea, but it could be done.
"Affiliate sects. Females first, of course. But, keep an eye out and perhaps find weapon makers or alchemist sects too, small ones but still useful to expand our influence and use our coins. Feminism is fine, but shouldn't make you a tyrant like Asgard. People should be happy when they see your Flowers fly by, since it means justice and trade, not cold oppresion and death for a single glance." Green Willow raised a finger, then tapped her full lips. I wonder how those lips would feel on my... nevermind.
Let her come begging for dick by herself. We held a long stare, and my mind wandered towards red heels and sexy spies. Green Willow looked away, and blushed.
"Scumbag... but this idea is not bad. But we will need more Saints for outgoing missions." I patted my chest, and bowed.
"Give me a few days, and I'll get you 200 more Saints. Plus a dozen from the Autumn Leaves, if you want to take them in. They are a bit poor, since only my women got Saint weapons. I mean, their entire sect had a single Saint weapon when I got there, the ancient relic of the Sect Master. I gave them a few more..." Petunia turned her blue eyes on me.
"And this is why we accepted you here, Pef Tian. You care about your women a lot. Maybe a bit too much. We also have hands, you know?" she said as some kind of counter argument.
"Well... this meeting was nice, but I am still poor for now. I better go home and start working. My women are so expensive!" I countered with a grin, then walked out at a relaxed pace. Might as well enjoy the nice view. A very pretty Sage Flower waited in my room, beside Violet.
"Pef Tian, this is Sage Su! Guess what, she is actually Feng's mother, you know? Your new milk maid..." I smiled and simply went to hug a suprised Sage.
"We meet again in this life, Su Fei. Ah, you don't have the neck scar now. I guess you didn't fight in the Blood wars yet." I noticed at once and traced her flawless neck. The Sage patted her neck and touched my hand, and felt something.
"We never met, and yet... you're like my old friend. What kind of scar?" she asked a bit later as I ended the surprise hug, although we remained close and held hands.
"A barbed scythe, with some frog venom on it. It took you like 9000 years to regain speech, but was still raspy and painful. I will get you a barrier necklace, just in case." I promised with a kind smile. Sage Su sobbed and hugged me by herself, possibly sensing the truth in my words, or simply being happy for avoiding that fate.
"How did we meet, in that world?" she asked curious, while her neck began to turn red from the long hug.
"Hah! That is a funny story. So, there was a beast tide, near the Jade Forest. Su Feng was a little Saint King, and I rescued her and a few Flowers from a Tier 7 beast. And then we came to you at the outpost, and you attacked me! So I beat you up! Then the misunderstanding was cleared, and we tried to give Feng a little brother. We always failed, for some reason..." I whispered as my hands roamed around her back and ass.
"That idiot only knew how to beat up women." Violet noted and joined the hug, making me squished cheese between two meat buns. Or rather four meat buns.
