But there are some perks mixed in as well.
Just that they aren't as common as the perks from the Victory Points Shop. What surprises me a little is that there are actually Titles that are literally just meant to increase your Title count for Tier ascension requirements. Which definitely wasn't something I was expecting. I leave the Multiversal Wars Menu entirely before turning my focus onto the next menu. The one with the question mark. But the only thing that happens when I select the icon is a message appearing in my vision.
◊ There are no current Events running on planet Gaia. ◊ Oh. Is that menu just to enter whatever current System Event is running? I ask the Guide about this and he confirms it. In that case, I can go back to asking questions about the Labyrinths.
"What is the general layout of the Labyrinths?" I ask as my next question.
"The Iron Tier section of each Labyrinth is nothing more than a basic dungeon with stone corridors and rooms, and the section spans for a total of twenty-five floors," the Guide says, surprising me with its length.
"There are bosses at the end of every floor, with two mini bosses scattered throughout each floors, and the occasional treasure, puzzle, or monster room along the way. Next is the Bronze Tier section, which is also a basic dungeon format with stone corridors and rooms, but unlike the Iron Tier section, there are more rooms and more traps in the corridor section. There are also fifty floors instead of twenty-five." My eyes narrow a little at that.
"Are you seeing the pattern?" the Guide asks with his grin growing wider.
"Every section has the same number of floors as its Tier has levels. So the Iron Tier section has twenty-five floors, the Bronze Tier section has fifty floors, the Silver Tier section has seventy-five floors, and so on." He then goes on to describe some of the more advanced sections, but other than the fact that the Silver Tier section starts being a random biome instead of dungeon corridors, there isn't anything I need to know now.
Even that part might not be necessary for a while, considering how long it'll take for me to reach Silver Tier in my Labyrinth. This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author's work.
"I'll give you a little tidbit here since I like you," the Guide says, still with that smile on his face.
"The first System Event in every galaxy, which starts one week after you're sent to the planet, is always a Labyrinth related event. So make sure to pay attention to your Labyrinth in the week before the event starts!" Hmm. Seraphyne already told me that during my time resting in the leisure room. I try to wrack my mind for things I still need to ask the Guide, but nothing in particular comes to mind. And I'm not in any rush either, since I can just ask Seraphyne even if I forget something important.
So the rest of my time in here comes to a gradual and slow end as I sit here with the Guide just going silent since I'm not asking anything. After a little while of this, I find a message appearing in my vision. ◊ Congratulations on completing the Tutorial! You are now a full-fledged user of the System! ◊ ◊ Ten seconds after these messages appear, you will be sent to your new home! The planet known as Gaia!
◊ ◊ Gaia is a planet created by merging hundreds of planets, including their size, resources, and everything that comes with it! ◊ ◊ All users who are not City Lords will be sent near a random city whose City Lord is of the same or similar species to yourself! ◊ ◊ The planet of Gaia will have a one week before it enters the Multiversal Wars with its very first war! ◊ ◊ Now, welcome to the System! And to the Multiversal Wars!
◊ My eyes narrow at the last message, and just at how cheery the System sounds as it's doing all of this. It's twisted. And messed up. But I can't really say much, since the System is pretty much saving my sanity by explaining my Bloodline and letting me get mana cores from battle to devour source mana. I let out a sigh at that before finding everything beginning to blur as the Guide waves at me and says, "It's been great meeting you! Please come visit me in the Wandering Merchans Land some time!" Oh, right.
I never actually asked who this Guide was. Then again, probably for the best. And with that last thought, I find myself being teleported away to a very dark location that seems to be on the edge of the void. With a large opening leading into a valley surrounded by mountains on all sides. A void breach? ◊ Legendary Lord Token has been detected and used!
The user, a Void Crowne, has been sent to the most perfect location within the new planet of Gaia to send them to, and a void breach found on the planet has been opened by the System to connect the location to Gaia. ◊ ◊ System City is now being created… ◊ A wave of some sort of mana that I recognize as the same one making up the System Messages appears and floods the area. Both in the void, and in the valley on Gaia beyond the breach.
Then a relatively decently sized building appears in the center of the valley on Gaia made out of a pitch black metal. With roads of black stone appearing in six directions around the building, one of which connects directly to the breach itself. My eyes widen as I watch everything just constructing itself. Especially when the roads continue through the breach into the void. Although they don't go very far into the void. The roads continue until they reach the mountains on each side of the valley.
Stopping at the peaks of each mountain, where very basic and short walls begin to form. Surrounding the entire valley and the inner sides of the mountains in the process. That said, the walls are so short that someone could easily climb and waltz right over them. So there isn't much security from the walls. They seem to be more for marking my territory than to provide defense. Which is useful, still. I glance at my voidling general, who looks slightly pleased with the void here. I think. Probably?
It's kind of hard to tell. ◊ Please choose a location to place the System Kiosk and the System Portal! ◊ ◊ A System Kiosk allows the user to trade with other users from Gaia no matter where they are on the planet! All a user has to do is enter a System Kiosk and put an item up for trade, or open another user's trade to purchase from them! ◊ ◊ A System Portal allows the user to travel to other System Cities on Gaia that have chosen to allow your System City to connect to theirs!
◊ ◊ Note that the System Kiosk and System Portal may be moved in the future should you wish! ◊ ◊ Note that the System does not support System buildings in the void. ◊ Those sound really useful. And it sounds like I can't put them in the void. So I walk through the breach into my city before looking around for a good spot to put them, even if only temporarily. What I find is a large clearing not too far away from the main building. This place should work for now, at least.
The moment I make the decision, the System seems to register it before a large whoomph sound echoes in the area and a portal of clear blue energy appears in the form of a large orb. Then a large totem appears a couple dozen feet away from the portal. Which I'm guessing is the kiosk? This place is starting to look pretty nice though. And it's in a colder region, albeit without any snow. With lots of trees around. I look around for a moment before moving onto the next System Messages that appear. ◊ Be warned!
The City Labyrinth is now being placed! ◊ Be… warned? Why is it- The ground suddenly starts to shake, almost making me lose my balance. Oh. That's why it's warning me.
