Chương 38: B1 | Chapter 33

Aidan After draining the boss of both his source mana and the source mana in his mana core, I nod my head in satisfaction at seeing the levels they give me. Which number quite a few. [User's Profession, Void Creator, has reached level 41. User's stats have risen by the following amounts: +1 Mind, +1 Soul, +1 Free Point.] [User's Class, Void Devourer, has reached level 42. User's stats have risen by the following amounts: +2 Physical, +2 Magical, +2 Mind, +2 Soul, +1 Free Point.] [User's Profession, Void Creator, has reached level 43. User's stats have risen by the following amounts: +1 Mind, +1 Soul, +1 Free Point.] After draining the source mana from the boss and searching him for any other items like his sword, I finish draining the tiny scraps left in his blade, then I move towards the boss' chest next to him. Ignoring the portal near it no doubt leading to wherever I'm supposed to go next. I already have my Tutorial Points and the Achievement, so I'm not in a rush to leave.

When I reach the boss' chest, I open it to reveal a ring, a full set of plate mail armor, and an orb that gives a temporary skill to the holder that lets them make void golems. And all of it is useless to me other than acting as more source mana. But, unlike the boss, his sword, and his mana core, none of these give anywhere near as much source mana. To the point that I only get one level in my Class from it all. [User's Class, Void Devourer, has reached level 43. User's stats have risen by the following amounts: +2 Physical, +2 Magical, +2 Mind, +2 Soul, +1 Free Point.] Which is honestly a disappointment. It's fine, though. Since I've already gotten plenty up till now. Now then. I turn my attention towards my voidling general, who is the only surviving voidling amongst my poor army, and is currently standing in front of me. Time to turn you into a proper general.

So I bring the voidling with me back up the tower until I reach the Unique Loot Box and the mana core inside of it that I haven't touched yet. Then I send a message to Seraphyne. ◊ Aidan ◊ - [How do you upgrade a general?] To my surprise, albeit less surprise than last time, she answers right away. ◊ Seraphyne ◊ - [Simply desire to do it, and the process will begin.] Just desire to do it?

I turn to the voidling general with a slight frown before trying to send out my desire to upgrade the general with the mana core in the loot box. And it actually works. The mana core lifts up into the air and moves towards the voidling general. Then they both turn into energy and merge together. Instinct tells me to make a new soul for the voidling, since the current soul isn't strong enough to hold the new mana core. So I start to meticulously craft a soul with all of my focus.

Making sure not to mess up even the slightest bit. Fortunately, the process isn't anywhere near as touchy when I'm upgrading a voidling than when I am creating one in the first place. Which makes it go by a lot faster. The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation. All the way until I finally finish crafting the soul. With a new mind coming soon after that.

Of course, since I'm not exactly very experienced in this process, and I'm still Bronze Tier myself, I only manage to make a more basic mind and soul. One that, while capable of communication, isn't excellent at it. But is still pretty smart on its own beyond that. Then I begin the process for creating the voidling general's body. Which pretty much just comes down to me activating the skill instead of doing the process myself.

Because the skill directly puts me in auto-pilot mode, following my instincts to create a brand new type of voidling. The process doesn't even take long and finishes within a few minutes. Making me realize just how good a skill it is. Even if it's a once-a-month skill. Anyway, the voidling standing before me is… a lot more intimidating and powerful looking than the original voidling general.

Since it's standing at about nine or ten feet – three meters – tall, with a humanoid form and several scythes attached to its back. It has shiny black carapace all over its body without any flesh to be seen, with its carapace looking almost like armor in some places. And it has a very bulky form, with five claws on each of its hands and feet, and some sort of jewel embedded on the backs of its palms and on each of its scythes. Pitch black jewels that radiate void mana.

Lastly, the voidling general has two glowing purple eyes visible beneath visor-like carapace on its head that looks almost like a helmet. Now that's cool. A lot cooler than the original body the general had. The general suddenly gets down on one knee and bows its head towards me as I hear cold yet loyal words echo in my head, "Give. Orders. Eminence." I finally have a voidling that can speak. Albeit not perfectly.

Without saying anything, I give it mental orders to stand up and show me what it can do while I identify it. [Level 75 Voidling Arcanist] Oh, wow. This voidling is incredibly high level. Then again, I used a Silver Tier mana core to make it. So I'm actually a little surprised it's not at a higher level. I purse my lips at that thought before sending a message to Seraphyne asking about it.

Meanwhile the voidling itself stands to its full height and raises its scythes to create multiple void orbs that look rather familiar in front of each blade. Then each of the void orbs fires off, just like the ones the boss would shoot. Was my creation of the voidling affected by the battle with the void mage? Looks like it might have been. The voidling arcanist also shows off a power that coats its scythes and claws in void mana. But since there's no target, I don't know what the void mana is supposed to do.

And it shows one final power that I'm extremely happy about when it places its hand on my shoulder after asking for permission before healing my remaining wounds. Finally! A healing power! Sorta. I can't help but smile as all of the pain finally goes away. Then I finally turn my focus onto the exit to the floor that is right next to the boss' chest. Time to finish up the Tutorial and see what I can buy with my Tutorial Points. Since that's what Ali said they're for.

Right as I'm about to walk into the glowing archway, I get a message from Seraphyne telling me that the void creatures I make are limited to my current Tier. So once I reach Silver Tier myself, the general will reach Silver Tier as well. They will even shoot up in level to where they originally should've been. Which is good to know. I finally walk straight through the glowing archway with my general before finding myself appearing in a large room that looks almost like a lounge.

With numerous chairs, sofas, and even couches scattered around it for resting. Then several System Messages appear in my vision. ◊ Congratulations! You have completed the Tutorial and earned the right to survive and enter the System! ◊ ◊ Calculating total Tutorial Points… Calculation complete. ◊ ◊ You have earned a total of 43, 762 Tutorial Points, and are currently ranked first in the Tutorial. Final rankings will be determined at the end of the Tutorial.

The top one hundred ranked users in the Tutorial for each cluster will receive a Legendary Lord Token. The top one thousand ranked users in the Tutorial for each cluster will receive an Epic Lord Token. There's mention of those War Points things again. But putting that aside, I can't help but smile as I walk over to a recliner chair and collapse onto the chair in exhaustion. Then I turn my attention to the new icon in the corner of my vision, which looks like some sort of coin. Time to see what I can get with my Tutorial Points.
