Fury left after that, after receiving a scowl from Laura and her telling him never to show his face again as that was a huge violation of their privacy, and Fury looked like someone at his wits' end as he didn't know how to reply to this hostile person. But he could understand why she was so protective of Rei. He was their golden child. They were just running a gun shop a few years ago and now they were sitting on an empire.

Though Rei had said that they belonged to some backward planet, the fact was that once Rei showed up their wealth skyrocketed. Technically speaking, the IRS should investigate Allied for doing insider trading with Stark Industries, but they did it from so many different shell companies that it would be hard to pin the blame on Stark and Allied as they both played the game perfectly.

Stark was expected to play a wealth game, but the way Allied played it and how they had invested for the past years showed how good of a businessman Rei was. Or whoever was behind the brains, because a part of Fury refused to believe that all this was done by a very young man. Fury actually felt guilty for even incorporating them into some kind of heroic feat as they were supposed to be minors, but then he remembered the interactions with these two boys and forced himself to consider them as adults.

But one thing did help him, which was the removal of their names from SHIELD records as they were minors. Only his closest people knew about their existence. Honestly speaking, the whole Avengers Initiative was a project he had wanted to keep away from the files of SHIELD as that would allow them to act independently. Now he got a reason to safeguard the names from the files of SHIELD and them being minors just helped him a lot. Meanwhile, a few minutes after he left, Daniel was back home.

He actually jumped red lights to arrive there and he was sure he would be fined soon but he didn't care as his wife had asked him to come soon. Soon he came to know what had transpired while Laura gave a brief rundown of how things went. Their Allied had some dealings with SHIELD in some security contracts but they didn't know the depths of it until Rei gave a brief description. They also came to know what had happened in New Mexico and why he looked so buff after returning from a trip with Erik and the others.

They had accepted that a parallel universe existed and Rei could just jump in and out. But now they were hearing about gods and aliens? Was this the real world? Or some kind of fantasy? After about four days, Naruto finally was able to learn the whole summoning jutsu as one day Jiraya just threw him off a cliff and that forced him to summon a huge toad, thus saving himself. Sasuke gulped down his throat when he saw such a huge summon.

And for a second he regretted not signing that contract, but that regret only lasted for a brief moment before getting flamed away. So what if Naruto received a huge summon? He would find one too. He didn't need summons to get him past the Chunin Exam finals. His hair techniques were getting more precise and he was sure that they would allow him to fight against Gaara as he had already seen the schedule and matchups. Naruto would fight Neji which was expected and was canon.

The other fights remained the same with Sakura fighting the random dude down the line, which could be overlooked, as Rei didn't think the fights would go beyond Sasuke vs Gaara. Rei was glad that Sasuke was with Jiraya as it would mean his safety was guaranteed, along with Naruto's. Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation. So after learning the whole jutsu, all of them were free and Sasuke even wanted to have a fight with Rei under the eyes of Jiraya but Rei refused.

Sasuke wanted to see how Rei's new physique was as Thor had claimed himself to be indestructible. Sasuke had seen how his attacks posed almost no threat to him until he used Chidori, which for some reason, for a God of Thunder, seemed not to be so immune to lightning itself, which was quite the surprise. Or at least that was what Rei had told him and his mother too had stopped the attack before he could land it.

But Sasuke also knew that these Asgardians weren't as fast as him, and his hammer was the weapon that allowed him to fight and use attacks. Other than that he didn't seem anything special, so he wanted to see how Rei was after acquiring that body of his. But Rei just refused and asked him to rather practice by himself. It wasn't that Rei wouldn't mind showing off to Sasuke about his new physique but he had recently noticed that the people around them were a bit much.

Though they were far and could hardly be called ninjas who were keeping an eye on them given that Jiraya was around, still having those flies around wasn't exactly something he liked and he didn't want to show more cards than he had at the moment. He was sure that these small spies were either from Orochimaru or from Danzo, probably Danzo, as Orochimaru might have ratted him out. But that was fine. He had a special gift for the snake.

So a month soon flew by with Naruto and Sasuke practicing with their own tools and making progress through their own hard work. Actually they wanted to be in the other world for practice but Rei refused because it was better to remain low in both of their worlds. Their origin world had spies and the MCU world also had spies. Ineffective spies, but spies nonetheless. So it was better to just sit tight and enjoy the normal flow of time.

Besides, it wasn't like they were being taught new jutsus so they could just enjoy themselves while practicing normally. Meanwhile, Naruto came to know that Gaara was a jinchuriki like him after he and Shikamaru went to visit Lee, and it was there when Gaara gave a brief explanation of his life that Naruto realized that he almost had the same life as Gaara except he had Rei and Iruka in the end.

Even the Third Hokage would visit and show him care, which made him have a sense of belonging, otherwise he could have easily gone down the same path as Gaara. Naruto discussed this with Rei that evening when they met up and Rei could only say that if anyone could help Gaara with what he was suffering, it was probably him as he and Gaara were the same, to which Naruto didn't have words to reply. It didn't take long for the exams to finally arrive and for all the people to gather at the arena in Konoha.

"Mom.. Dad.. If anything goes south promise me that you will save yourselves." Rei said as the family was slowly walking towards the arena to attend the finals.

"How can you say that? The Third Hokage will be present. Nothing can happen." Daichi replied.

"Yeah and still that snake guy snuck in and Konoha hasn't yet caught him. His presence hasn't even been issued to the public either so I am sure he is lurking around." Rei complained.

"Don't say that. I am sure the jonins know about him and have been searching for him." Hana said and Rei could only roll his eyes at that. Of course many jonins knew. They just couldn't do anything about it.

"But seriously, you two need to look out for yourselves and the moment you see danger, escape." Rei replied. They didn't understand why Rei was doubling down on the fact that there might be danger and even talking about escaping. This was Konoha they were talking about but then again, their child wasn't normal either. He even faced a Sanin and was able to run away easily. They finally assured Rei that they would do so and he need not be worried. Rei nodded and accepted.

He would keep an eye on them when the fight started so he wasn't that worried. In fact, he was excited. Finally the first huge brawl was going to happen. All these years he had been laying low and if his plan went according to his calculations, he would finally show his true colors. Of course that came with conditions too which he would tackle when the time came. For now he needed to keep an eye out and make sure everyone played their roles. Soon they arrived at the arena.

He approached Kakashi who was in the stands along with Guy.

"Rei! So you are here! My apologies for not being able to visit you sooner, and thank you—truly, thank you for everything you have done for my student!" Guy said.

"Guy-sensei, you have already thanked me enough. You don't have to. If you want to help me with something, then you can teach me taijutsu." Rei replied.
