On the Outskirts of the Battlefield atop a Building Right before Aidan kills the lizardkin leader Rath'val'que, the leader of one of the largest factions of wraths in the Tutorial, feels pressure in her body as she sees the Top Ranked user on the leaderboard quickly moving towards the lizardkin leader and grabbing their neck. Sinking his claws into the lizardkin's neck as he does so.
Completely ignoring the clear bruising and cuts caused by the lizardkin slamming his hands and claws against the Void Crowne's arm even as the bruises heal themselves after spewing black liquid. The more Rath'val'que watches, the more fearful she feels. Especially as the voidlings continue to swarm in, pushing the other lizardkin who are trying to save their leader back through sheer numbers.
And after seeing the Void Crowne finish off the lizardkin leader, Rath'val'que immediately orders for her subordinate who joined the lizardkin's war against the voidlings to retreat and open negotiations with the voidlings. Because she absolutely refuses to be at war with a creature like the Void Crowne, or his voidlings. When she allowed her subordinate to participate in this war, her scouts had confirmed that the voidlings only numbered several hundred. But now? Now the voidlings number tens of thousands.
And their leader alone- Her thoughts cut off when she sees the Void Crowne reaching down and touching each of the lizardkin corpses with one finger, seemingly absorbing energy from their bodies. Which makes her wonder if he has a power to absorb power from his enemies or something. Until she sees him doing the same to their System Items. Then he levels up. And the reason she knows he levels up even without identifying him again?
Because she sees an immensely powerful wave of pitch black energy rush out of his body as she instinctively senses his Ascension. Almost like every part of her body is screaming at her that he is at a higher Tier than she is. The energy rushes out of his body in the form of a dense black mist, just like the regular mist his body seems to normally produce.
And as she watches him still moving from one lizardkin corpse to another, the other lizardkin on the battlefield all flee in every possible direction away from the voidlings and the Void Crowne. Clearly escaping from the battlefield now that their leader was slain. At the same time, the wraths on the battlefield flee as well. Ending the war with fewer than twenty percent of the involved forces actually dying simply through the actions of the Void Crowne.
After seeing the Void Crowne move between at least over a hundred lizardkin and wrath corpses on the battlefield, absorbing energy from them all, she finally sees him nodding his head once, saying a few words to the Fifth Ranked and some humans who appear next to him, and disappear. Making her understand that he's moved onto the next floor. Rath'val'que takes in a deep breath before deciding to speak with the Fifth Ranked personally in the hopes of making amends with the voidlings.
Because the voidlings have clearly asserted their power in this conflict. With absolute dominance. Aidan After I teleport to the in-between room, I find the mission completion messages appearing in my vision. ◊ Mission Complete ◊ Tutorial: Tower – Floor Four: Training Floor Objectives: Either reach Bronze Tier or wait until the floor closes and you're kicked out into the fifth and final floor one day before the end of the Tutorial. You were the first user in your Tutorial to have both your Class and Profession at Bronze Tier before clearing the fourth floor of the Tower! Reward: 2500 Tutorial Points ◊ ◊ Tutorial Points have now been calculated. Leaderboards Score will be shown once at least ten thousand users clear the fourth floor. ◊ Huh. That's surprising. I guess the leaderboards weren't actually shown immediately upon entering a floor. They're only shown after a certain number of users have entered the floor.
It's nice to see all of those Tutorial Points, though. And I'm surprised that I wasn't the first user to reach Bronze Tier in my Class, even if I was the first for my Profession. Then again, I spent some time creating voidlings. All of whom seem to have come with me and are making this room rather cramped. So I guess it does make sense that I wasn't the first to raise my Class to Bronze Tier.
Since I focused on both creation and combat, while the ones who reached Bronze Tier in their Class before me likely focused just on combat. Speaking of those voidlings, when I look at them, they don't look any different despite getting that absolute loyalty skill. But maybe that's because they're all non-sentient, non-sapient voidlings. Then again, the skill is probably more to counter mind-control type skills used on the voidlings than to actually ensure they're loyal. Considering how the hierarchy works.
Anyway, I turn my attention to the only exit to this room. An exit that has the words 'Hard Difficulty' above it, implying that this floor follows the same difficulty as the first floor did. Which is annoying, but it should at least give me a boost to Tutorial Points should I survive and clear it. I take a deep breath before going ahead and walking through the tunnel. Not bothering with resting this time since I didn't actually use much mana while fighting in that war.
The war ended so quickly that I didn't need to, after all. After a moment of staring at the words above the tunnel, I go ahead and enter the tunnel. Making me teleport to a new and unexpected location. That being right in front of a large tower in the middle of a place that looks similar to but different to the void I saw on the third floor.
◊ Mission Received ◊ Tutorial: Tower – Final Floor: Personalized Hard Difficulty Tutorial Boss Objectives: Either survive until the end of the Tutorial, or defeat the Tutorial Boss. Reward: 1 Tutorial Point per monster of the same level or below slain. 3 Tutorial Points per monster of one to three levels higher than the user slain. 10 Tutorial Points per monster of four or more levels higher than the user slain. 5000 Tutorial Points and 1 Skill Rarity Upgrade Token for slaying the Tutorial Boss.
There aren't any actual requirements for this floor? Just survive? I don't even have to kill the boss… Is that because I already cleared the basic requirement of the Tutorial just to reach the fifth floor? The requirement to reach Bronze Tier. That's my guess, at least. Either way, I want to take on the boss. So just surviving is off the table for me. I've come this far already, and there's no way I'm just sitting around and waiting now.
As if to mark my resolve, thunder echoes all around the tower while bolts of white lightning shine through the darkness of the void. I take a deep breath before nodding my head. Then I sit down and start creating more voidlings. Because I can never have too many voidlings to help me fight.
