"King Maximus, welcome to Diablos." Warrick greeted the Elf King in the center of the mob that was approaching us. One thing that I noticed is that he didn't seem to bring his Queen with him, unlike everyone else. Unless it's the girl that I fought? But isn't she too young? No... They look too similar, their hair and eye color match... As the Elves approached, my thoughts were preoccupied with the question... Could it be... Incest? I mean, that was common with Royalty back in my world.

It was a well-known fact about world history, so it wouldn't be too out of the ordinary. Elves are supposed to be a long-lived but small population... Just as my thoughts reached that conclusion, the middle-aged Elf began to speak back to Warrick with a smile that I could see many women falling for." Thank you for inviting me, King Warrick. It's nice to see that King Leonard Nyx is also here, Our Peoples have quite the History after all. As for King Alan, it's nice to see you as well.

I was quite surprised that the Beast King wanted to join in on this Summit." King Maximus approached the table with a relaxed demeanor, it was confident and seemed like something that would work well for meeting new Business Partners." Well, I thought the subject of today was interesting, it's been quite some time since Elves have been seen anywhere besides Alfheim or a battlefield, I'm sure anyone would be intrigued by it, King Maximus." King Alan quickly responded to King Maximus.

His tone was quite friendly and seemed to be full of curiosity. I could see why though, since this question was the entire reason we came here in the first place. Taking a good look at the Elves now, I could see that they were all dressed in Military Uniforms except for the King and the young girl that shared his hair and eye color.

It was somewhat similar to the standardized Demon Uniform, except that the armor with engravings showing the history of their nation was colored in different shades of green, brown and white. This was opposed to the Diablos Military Uniform's colors which were different shades of black and red, the women's uniform were different shades of yellow and pink. The Beastmen are a bit more personalized for colors, it's almost like looking at a rainbow in all honesty. The Dark Elves Uniforms were shades of grey and yellow.

Meanwhile, the Royalty at the table were all dressed in ornate clothing. All befitting their natural colors, from the Deep reds and blues of Warrick and Aqua, to the greens and yellows of the Elves in front of us. Speaking of which, King Maximus took the comment made by King Alan like water off a duck's back and simply proceeded to sit down with great posture as he answered the question." Yes, I'd be glad to find out how all this unfolded as well, King Alan.

But I would like to introduce everyone to My Daughter first, Eve, come." At his command, the woman I fought stepped forward, she finally took her eyes off of me to look at the rest of the table. She bows her head with no wasted movement as her emerald green dress fluttered at every graceful movement she made." It's a pleasure to meet all of the Kings and Queens present at the table, I am Eve Minerva, Eldest Princess of Alfheim." Her introduction was eye-catching... For me, it was thought provoking.

I know that's the girl whose face I saw while we fought. The fact that she's the 1st Princess isn't good. That means that she's either a fanatic with someone pulling her strings or worse... Her father was the one to give her those "orders" she yelled at me about. Perhaps she's seen through my ideas? Since I can't help but notice, she's stopped scanning the table and locked eyes with me. She squinted at me before she decided to speak again." With my introduction out of the way, might I ask why a Human is here?"

Her glare grew stronger... Now I'm doubly sure that she's the same person from before now that I look at her when she's so close to me." He is Matthew Drake. A Marquess of Diablos. To Warrick's brief explanation of who I am, both the Elves seemed shocked at the information, but I don't fully believe their reactions. For one, the group of Merchants from both Atheis and Kuga knew about me. Sure, you could argue that the Kugans only knew about me because of the Humans, but a Paladin beating the Hero to protect Diablos has to be noteworthy news in this world. So I assume the news about a Paladin being in Diablos is now common knowledge in the world.

At the very least, I would assume that would be the case when it comes to places near to Promethia, like Alfheim. It looks like the people around the table were thinking the same things as well." Yes, through many twists of fate, we ended up meeting him, he's proven he's more than worthy of the Rank." Aqua backed Warrick's introduction of me. I thought it was nice to hear, it's always nice to know that people think I'm doing a good job. The Elves still looked "shocked", I wonder how long they'll keep that up for?

Apparently not long, since King Maximus quickly asked a follow up question." Well, may I ask why he's seated at a table full of Royalty, instead of standing, like everyone else?"" As I've stated, he's a Witness to the events that happened, we've brought him here to explain what he saw."" But he'll remain seated as opposed to My Own Daughter, who's standing?"" There's an empty seat right next to you, King Maximus. Please, by all mean, Princess Eve, take your seat at the table."

Warrick and King Maximus continued to go back and forth, before Warrick offered a place to sit for Princess Eve. I look to see that the Elves still look somewhat dissatisfied by Warrick's words. Not just the King and Princess, but their Guards as well. That small mob I mentioned is around 20-30 Guards. It made sense, since each King and Queen has around 10 Royal Guards around the area as well. The tension was somewhat intense for something that in my world, wouldn't necessarily be a big deal.

I quickly turn to Warrick and Aqua and ask a question." King Warrick, may I ask a question?" I saw Warrick's eyes shift for a moment as he heard me use his Formal Title. It's something I don't really do at this point in our relationship, it looks like I surprised him, but I'd rather the Elves think that I'm simply a Marquess to Warrick and Aqua instead of being his Son-In-Law. The last thing we need is them accusing Warrick and Aqua of favoritism.

Warrick looked as if he was thinking for a moment before answering me." You may speak, Marquess Matthew." Warrick continued the facade I started. It does feel weird to me, but it'll be fine for the duration of this Summit." If it would lead to a more cooperative Summit, would it be okay for me to instead stand beside Your Majesty and Her Majesty, Queen Aqua." I wanted to grimace as I noticed that Aqua was holding back a laugh at my stiff language.

I'd appreciate it if she could stop nearly ruining my attempts to smooth over any of the rough edges that this Summit could have. Warrick listened to what I said and then turned to King Maximus and Princess Eve and asked them his own question." Would you both find that acceptable?" King Maximus was surprised at Warrick's question. Not just him, but King Leonard was also shocked to a degree.

I could see why, besides the slight acknowledgement at the beginning, Warrick's done the majority of speaking for everyone at the table. Granted, I can't help but think that it's a good thing, since I don't think that King Leonard can hold back enough for this conversation. I can already see him beginning to grip his forearms quite tightly at the sight of the Elves in front of him. His hatred runs deep. What doesn't help is the fact that they used the guise of Dark Elves to attack Emily's group.

Queen Crystal is doing her best to calm her husband as much as she can, while I was sneaking glances at the Nyx parents, I turned back to the Elves to see that King Maximus had come to a conclusion." Yes, I would prefer it. As long as it wouldn't be a bother." With that, I quickly looked away from the Elves and looked at the rest of the table. I quickly rose to my feet and positioned myself directly behind Warrick and Aqua. It almost felt like I was their Personal Guard.

Which I guess wouldn't be too far from the truth considering what they said before the Elves showed up. However, my dress was sorely lacking. I was simply in a simple suit that Sarah and Anna had prepared for me, along with that, I had Scarlet and Julia in their bracelet forms. However, I truly hope that I only brought them to be accessories today, since I knew what it would mean if I ended up needing to use them here. And I didn't like the implications of the future if that was the case."

Now with all of that out of the way, shall we begin the discussion of why you're here, King Maximus? Please do tell us, why was it that 3 Elves were using Glamours to appear as Dark Elves. Along with that, why is it that you attacked My Citizens along with the Humans migrants passing through My Country?" Warrick looked sternly at King Maximus with the disposition of a King as he asked him point blank about the battle that I was a part of.

I waited and focused on King Maximus and Princess Eve as the Elven King thought about his response.
