Mary began that chain of reactions to Alle's addition to the Alliance. I'm not quite sure why everyone was still shocked about her growing feelings for John. However, as every action and word from someone you Love is seen in the best light, Mary simply pulls him in for a hug and the warmth and softness of her chest seems to melt anyone's resolve. I would know since I've also been a victim of it, Mary gave both Anna and I the same treatment she gives John when we allowed her to join the Alliance...
