Chương 326: Chapter 309. Into The Harvey's Home

" Wow..." My surprise leaked out of my mouth as we saw the door to Ms. Victoria's home. It was a giant grey metal door that was horribly dented in multiple places. Windows were busted up as well." The plant-controlled Demons must've been the ones who did a number on this place." Anna explained what most likely happened. I agreed with her. Before coming here, we actually left the walls of the city so I could confirm something for later after healing the victims that were controlled by the plants.

That's left me a bit low on mana, but I don't think I'll be needing to use the rest, since I confirmed the experiment outside of the walls earlier. After I was done outside the town, we began our walk to the Harvey's house. On our way, I made note of just how beaten up the town had gotten, from smashed windows, broken weapons, bloodstains all around the ground and ash everywhere from the fires that everyone needed to use to protect themselves.

It all led me to have a new respect for Zana, they fought hard and they eventually won, but not without sacrifices." Do you think that they..." Flare sounded excited at this new information." How could you think that Ghosts are cool? Aren't you worried about being Cursed?"" No way! You can do so many cool things with that ability!" Flare seemed to be imagining some crazy ideas, but the only thing that I can really do is perceive and talk to them It's not like I can command them or anything... Now that I think about it, instead of me commanding them, it's the other way around with me listening to their requests.

Princess Alice on the other hand is still not a big fan of the whole "Ghost" thing. Maybe she's imagining more gruesome things than what I actually see?" Hey, just come around back, there's a door there and a key under the potted plant next to it. Be warned though, our house doesn't usually look like this."" It is winter, but I guess Flare and the twins are used to hiding in the shade to hunt during the winter so this shouldn't be too much for them to handle." Victor said something about the house, but it wasn't that terrible as far as I could tell, there was some dust everywhere and a few dirty dishes in the sink, but aside from that, the only worrisome thing is the glass from the windows still being on the floor in the house. If I had to guess, I'd say it's because of being in their home and not being able to speak to their grieving family. After letting a moment pass, I figured it was best to ask where they were." All 3 of them agreed to do it, if Patrick and Victor were okay with it. Once they heard the girls say that they were okay with it, they started to relax somewhat." Though I guess it'll mostly be Anna, since she's the most experienced when it comes to caring for people.""

It's almost nostalgic in a way, though I'd prefer taking care of Darling instead."" You guys are really casual about the whole "Ghost thing", aren't you?" Princess Alice started up a strange conversation that the girls started to discuss as they went down the hallway towards Ms. Victoria and Kim. Now that I had a few moments alone, I looked at the father and son and started to speak to them." Is there anything I should know now? How are they exactly right now?"" Its... Not good.

Like I said before, Victoria has become despondent since our disappearances. She was torn up when my son originally disappeared and now that I'm gone too... Well, she definitely hasn't taken it well. Do you remember when I said she hadn't even left the front door of the house?"" Yes, I do."" Well, being able to make it to the front door would be an improvement, she's barely gotten out of bed, if not for Kim... I don't even know if she'd have eaten. It's just so much..."" Patrick's eyes started to well up with tears. Being here and being unable to help is obviously paining him deeply.
