Chương 380: Chapter 353. Schools, Sneaking And Inquiries

So, it's just for now, okay?"" Fine..." Sarah eventually gave in to what Anna and I wanted. To put it simply, we've snuck into our new school, Paradise Academy. I decided that the place needed a name besides just "The Academy". So, I decided to just name it after the city that it's located in, everyone seemed to be fine with it...

After I convinced everyone in the mansion that naming it "Drake Academy", was definitely not happening of course. Having said all of that, today was the first time I've actually stepped foot into the building. I've only had my imagination and the blueprints that I handed off to the Construction Team's Boss until now. At first, I acted as a "Boss" to the Construction Team since I was the one leading the remodeling of the town's roads and its walls and also directing them on which houses to fix up.

But once I finished all of the remodeling of the roads and walls, I decided to actually establish a Company and hired on all of the Builders that I worked with, they happily signed on so that they had Official Jobs. After a lot of deliberation, I decided to have the Company establish itself as a Private Company as opposed to a Government-Funded Company.

I thought this meant that the Employees and Business would have more freedom in what projects they wanted to take as a Company, but they seemed to think I was abandoning them. In response to that, I ended up owning the majority stake in the Company. At first, I wanted to only own 50%, since I was the one creating the company, then I was going to sell my shares to which ever Employees showed the best intentions towards the Company's wellbeing.

But that was put to a stop when all of them, including Tonis, the Demon I chose to lead the Company as its first Official Boss, all lined up and handed me a piece of paper with their terms in it. More or less, I'd own 51% of the Company, I wasn't allowed to sell my stocks for the next 5 years, and if I do, I can only sell them to either current or future Employees. I just sighed at them as I signed the paper. And like that, Angel's Construction was forged into existence.

I didn't pick the name, I just turned down multiple terrible ones..." Ah, how nice." Anna took a look at the centerpiece of the lobby, a glass ceiling that lets the morning sun illuminate the entire lobby, and she seemed to enjoy basking in the sunlight. I hope the Students enjoy it just as much as Anna is currently. In the center of the lobby, is a desk with a Receptionist along with a statue behind the desk of a few of the Gods of the Faith Of The Dark Gods, the Official Religion of Diablos.

For the Human Students, I originally had a few decent-sized statues of a few of the more "tolerant" Gods from the Teachings Of The Light Gods. It was only after putting it up, that Emily tapped me on the shoulder and informed me that most of Aethis was agnostic and thought more fondly of what would be considered "Pagan" Religions. When I tried to ask more about it, she just told me that Aethis was mostly private about their Beliefs since the Government might attempt a witch hunt over it.

With that, I realized I wasted time making the Gods from the Teachings Of Light. So, instead of tearing it down, I just had the sculptor remake the Gods into something that would be more... Me... And I haven't heard the end of it since." I didn't know you cared so much, John! You could always just visit me more, instead of making statues of me! But your feelings are definitely noted..." Angela couldn't help but comment to me again as we passed by her statue.

She's been teasing me off and on ever since I ordered the remodel of the statue. Most of the Commoners are functionally illiterate because of that. I'd be screwed as well if it wasn't for Language Comprehension. Sure, the English of my world is spoken by everyone on Gaia as what's called "The Common Tongue".

But all the paperwork from being a Nobleman, as well as the Contracts related to Business are all done in the Demon Tongue, which is the Official Language of Diablos. From what I understand, the Skill I have just acts as a translation for me, including even when I write. As for Emily and the people of Aethis, they know enough of the Demon Tongue to get by. Emily, apparently, has a knack for language.

As for Charlotte, the Dark Elf Nobles are all compelled to learn the Demon Tongue since Darkheim exists effectively inside Diablos's Borders. It's enough information to make my head spin, but somehow, it's all doable for now. I decided to push all of that stuff to the back of my mind as we entered the first classroom we found. I thought it was fine, since Colleges used this same kind of classroom in my world. It's got to be good for learning, or something along those lines if both my world and Gaia use the design. Since Nobles will be visiting Paradise from now on to partake in the food and products, I figured it's a good idea to teach the kids how to act properly in front of them. Originally, I wanted Sarah to teach this class, but we're all too busy to take on more responsibility."" Hmm... Anna was surprised by my explanation, usually, manners are taught by a private tutor to Nobles. In Sarah's case, Aqua taught her. For Commoners, a senior would teach a new recruit what they need to know. When it comes to someone like Anna, she was originally taught manners by an older Maid for a Knight House that was close to Midori Village, after that, Trish taught her more advanced lessons before I arrived in Gaia." Sarah seemed intrigued by the curriculum now. I've only vaguely explained the curriculum to them back when I decided to make the school a reality, so I can understand the curiosity. Besides, our kids will be learning at this school as well." They'll be learning arithmetic, Reading and Language, History, Manners and the Profession of their choosing in the higher grades. It'll come down to the kids and Teachers of course. Sure, the teachers aren't former Royal Academy Teachers, but they all passed the exams I handed them and they could explain the answers. Sarah wasn't too happy." Yes, that's true, but after I healed Ruth, his wife, his attitude changed for the better. He's been great since then frankly, he happily would call to me whenever I was remodeling the roads or walls. Same as his wife, Ruth. To be honest, Simon wanted to turn down the job at first, the reason being for the way he acted when he first came to Paradise, he was intent on leaving as soon as possible, but something changed after the Wyvern attack, he mentioned he saw how Sarah, Anna and Ruby were acting when they carried me into that shelter and he realized he was wrong.

One of them is one of the orphans that I had brought to Paradise and the other was a kid from the original 3000 Demons that came in. They looked friendly with each other, that's nice I guess." The 5 kids that ran into the room directly after them however, showed me that sneaking into the school was now a useless gesture. The crowd of kids didn't leave us be until lunch time ended that day. Before leaving, I was just thankful that the kids were following the rules of the school. The Human children and the orphans were both awkward with each other. it seems it'll take a bit more time for them to integrate with each other. That brought me peace of mind as Sarah, Anna and I headed back to the mansion.

This peace of mind was ruined by a single question that Lucas asked as soon as we closed the front door. He had a letter in hand to give me as well with familiar handwriting." So, do you have a good plan for when Anna and I's Family arrives in a week?"
