John Ericsson's Point Of View I finally took a breath after what felt like hours, even though it's only been around 4 minutes. It took time, but I was able to crush that wall of malevolent mana that was preventing me from healing Sarah. The answer to breaking it was quite simple, I needed to continually attack it with my mana, in time I was able to crush it into dust and reach Sarah's body, both inside and out, with my mana.

The relief that Anna and I felt when Sarah began to glow faintly white as Holy Heal began to fully reconstruct the hole in Sarah's chest and then returned the skin outside of her body to normal, was similar to a giant wave crashing into us while standing on the beach. With each, deep, stable breath Sarah took, more and more waves were crashing into us. /snore... / Once she started snoring, Anna and I just looked at each other and started laughing. It was nice to have something go our way for once today. /RUMBLE!

"!" Our moment of peace was quickly ruined by the sound of the giant trying to stomp his foot on some of the Soldiers in our little Army. Now that I can finally take a look at the situation... Where are the Count Families and Princess Alice? Ah, they're standing back behind the Army. Are they directing the Army and trying to take the giant down through hit and run tactics? But I doubt the Soldiers are capable of something like that...?" What are they doing?"

I watched as the Counts began to move and form a formation. It looks like Count Sark and Count Gorse were the frontliners, Count Tye was in the middle and the backrow was Lady Kina and Lady Diana. Count Tye cast some type of Buffing Spell onto the Counts, and they ran to strike the giant. Their speed was impressive, but more than that, the fire ball that Lady Kina created was gigantic. Like a blimp from back in my world.

Lady Diana seemed to make rushing winds that formed into a tornado the same size as Lady Kina's fireball. / CLANG! CLANG! / Two loud sounds rung out as the Counts struck the giant, square in its chest and caused it to stumble and lose its balance. / CRASH! RUMBLE! /" Did... Did they hurt it?" Anna spoke to me as she was surprised to see what the Counts were doing as well.

I was almost speechless as I switched from watching the giant trying to stand back up, to remembering that the wives of the Counts still had 2 Spells prepared. Just as I brought my eyes back to them, I saw them throw their Spells towards the giant. I turned to Anna and yelled." Anna! Get down over Sarah! Now!" She did as I asked, and I covered both of them with my own body. I use a Barrier if it wasn't for the fact that I'm nearly out of mana, I'm sitting at around 8% now after everything that's happened.

/BOOOOMMMMM! / An otherworldly explosion hit the giant as I did my best to guard my Wives from the shockwave and all of the dust and debris that flew out from the epicenter of the explosion. It took around 3 minutes before everything had settled down." Anna... Are you okay?" I called to her to see if she was okay, if not, I'll have to use Holy Heal again on both of them. My body at least seemed to be okay." Y- Yes... I just have dust in my nose... Achoo!" / CHOO!

/ I raised myself off of Anna and she reached for a handkerchief in her dress. I'm glad that they both seem to be okay. Sure, we're covered in dirt now, but I'll take a bit of dirt covering us instead of being mortally wounded again. After a sigh of relief and the sound of Anna blowing her nose, I looked back at the center of the explosion. At the center, I was let down by what I saw... The giant was still moving." What do we have to do to kill this thing?"" Wait... Something's not right, Darling."

Anna called to me as I was about to walk over to attack the giant myself. I did as she said and turned to look at her." He is hurt... His organs, they're falling out of him... His skin on the front of his torso... It's been blown off." Anna explained the situation to me, the mushroom cloud had still made the battlefield somewhat murky to see everything. I could only make out some figures right now... Thankfully, the giant is so big, that anyone could see its figure in the dust.

Wendy and Ellie haven't stopped being afraid even now. He kidnapped Alice right under our noses. He tried to play us for fools and beat us without breaking a sweat. He threatened the people I Loved... He's hit and hurt you and Sarah... I can't let that go. I want to kill him, Anna.

And if I can't kill him today, then I want to stop him for now, then I'll return here when I do have a way to kill a God in the future. They flew at me with such force, that even with my enhanced strength from the Holy Mana, I still slid backwards from the force of the momentum. If this was before I came to Gaia, I think I would've died right now...

I was confused, until I looked down and saw those animal ears and dark-brown hair. I crack a smile to myself as Princess Alice looked kind of cute as she held her hands to cover her animal ears. Seems those sharp senses are a bit of a double-edged sword... Eventually, she opened her red eyes and saw me. I saw her demeanor change from tense to somewhat relaxed. I guess she finally does view me as something closer to a Friend now?

As the giant was finally defeated and Sarah was finally safe, I only had one thing to say to her." Great job, Alice. Also, Sarah is going to be okay!" Wrap! Tighten! I smiled at her, and she returned one to me. Not only that, but she hugged me as well. I'd usually tell her not to do that, since she's a Princess and everything, but the reason she's doing this is because of how happy she is that Sarah's okay now. Now with Alice back here, Anna and I could definitely leave Sarah under Alice's care.
