Chương 246: Chapter 229. Entrance To The Party

The carriage carrying us eventually stopped, our doors were opened by Brick and Heather after a few moments of having stopped. With their assistance, we all exited the carriage and took a moment to look at the entire structure we were going to spend the rest of our night in. It seemed to be built in a similar structure to a movie theater in my world. Instead of there being a screen and ascending seats though, there was a tree in the center of the structure and the seats and tables were on flat ground.

The only table that was raised, was on a wooden platform directly under the glowing blue tree that's currently illuminating the entire area in it's color. The reason why I can see it, is because there's a giant window not too far from the entrance we were walking towards." Wow!"" Yeah, I've heard about tree's being different colors but to actually glow in the night is something special." While the tree itself wasn't gigantic, the radiant blue color from the tree was amazing to see.

At least, Wendy and Ellie agreed with me. It was like a giant chandelier that illuminated not just the building that was obviously built around it, but quite a bit of the area around it. I mean, we had to travel out of the city to make it here, so it was a bit surprising when the orange light of the setting sun was replaced by a blue light from the tree. After admiring it for a brief moment, I thought it was time to make our entrance to the party." Shall we?" Wrap. Wrap. Grip. Grip.

With my words, Sarah and Anna moved their arms and interlocked them with mine before I could even ask if they wanted to. They seemed to have a look in their eyes that says, "this is our place only!"

With my sarcasm cleared up, we entered the building with bits of small talk between the girls brightening up the already well-lit grey stone hallway that led into the center of the building which was like a giant dining hall with no roof. Instead of there being a roof, the top of the place was covered by the tree's foliage. Though there were a bunch of areas where the tree's branches were perfectly looked after so the night sky was visible for all to see.

A full moon and the stars shone brightly in the sky as the guests to this party were moving to what I assumed were their assigned seats. Time almost stood still for me as Sarah, Anna and I just looked up, enjoyed the view and felt each other's warmth as the chill of the night sky could still be felt even with the combination of torch light and Magical Device light filled the room." A Human?"" He's the Marquess?"" That's Princess Sarah?"" Even Bestia's Princess is near him as well?""

Are we sure he can't hypnotize anyone?" Chatter filled the hall as we all came back down to Gaia after looking at the sky. Of course, in their seats were numerous Demons. Glaring at me. Apparently, they're in the middle of tailgating if all of the liquor on their tables is anything to go by. Looks like my presence interrupted them." Are we late, Sarah? Anna?"" Though, I suppose the traffic to get into here the other day did give a hint at just how massive the guest list was."" I mean, the Demons who live in Paradise get on well enough now with myself and the Humans that stayed along with Emily and Wendy, but I can only meet and help so many Demons. It'd be impossible to think that they would all need help at some point. Hell, some might even refuse my help." Ah, this is our table!" Sarah seemed happy to change the subject to something not related to the jeering and whispering we've all been subjected to. I'm starting to doubt if this crowd will even enjoy my dessert when it's served.

It'll definitely be an interesting scene if any of the Demons around here try the ice cream after watching the Sark and Fracks families dig in. Also, we will as well. Now, there's so many Species and Animals that can speak to me that it can make my head spin." I understand how you feel. How so, Lord Matthew?" Ellie didn't seem to understand what I meant. I could understand why, it's kind of a bigger concept that you'd need to wrap your head around." Princess Alice blushed as Sarah and Anna seemed somewhat disappointed. I can understand why. I asked Angela about it before, apparently, it is possible for Humans and Demons to have children together, it just takes a longer time to achieve the goal. I was quite embarrassed when Angela told me to just keep up what we were doing. I heard that and it didn't take long for me to realize that she had seen Sarah, Anna and I in the act.

When I made this connection in my head, Angela tried to defend herself and said she accidentally saw us while were "intimate", as she put it. Then, after some urgent explaining, Angela explained that the chances of having children between Humans and Demons is like the lottery and that if I kept it up, I would eventually unlock a specific Title that would help speed the process along. Once I told Sarah and Anna that, their eyes changed. It was like their fighting spirit had been tempered. What happened after that...
