The battlefield remained silent long after the Seven Authors disappeared. The blizzard had ceased. The golden flames faded into gentle embers. For the first time in what felt like an eternity... There was peace. Only the Origin Key remained suspended before Rayan, rotating slowly in the air. Unlike any relic he had ever seen, it wasn't forged from metal or crystal. It appeared to be woven from countless golden threads, each thread shifting into unfamiliar symbols before changing once again.
When Rayan reached toward it, Atlas spoke sharply.
"Wait." His voice carried an urgency none of them had heard before.
"Once you touch the Origin Key..."
"... there is no turning back." Everyone gathered around. Kael folded his arms.
"So what's inside this Library?" Atlas looked toward the distant sky.
"The beginning."
"The end."
"And every possibility that exists between them." Michael frowned.
"A place beyond the World System?" Atlas nodded.
"The Library of Origins exists outside time itself."
"It contains every story ever written."
"Every civilization."
"Every king."
"Every universe." Cassian blinked twice.
"So..."
"It's basically the biggest library in existence?" Atlas couldn't help smiling.
"That is the simplest way to describe it." Lyra stepped beside Rayan. Her silver-blue eyes never left the floating key.
"If the Authors invited us..."
"Why do I feel like it's a trap?" No one answered. Because everyone shared the same thought. The Authors had never acted without purpose. Far across the battlefield, Emperor Caelum stared at the remains of his shattered Divine Domain. The frozen plains had melted into rivers. His soldiers waited in absolute silence. One of his generals approached and knelt.
"Your Majesty..."
"Should we continue the invasion?" Caelum remained quiet. He looked toward Rayan. Then toward the crimson countdown in the heavens. Only 363 days remained. Finally, he spoke.
"No." The general looked stunned.
"The continent faces extinction."
"If we continue fighting each other..."
"... there won't be anyone left to rule." He sheathed Fimbul.
"Send messengers."
"Every kingdom."
"Every clan."
"Every surviving race."
"Tell them the Northern Empire calls for a Summit of Kings." Back in Ayanor... The announcement surprised everyone. Cassian scratched his head.
"Did..."
"... did the Emperor of Frost just become reasonable?" Kael smirked.
"I think Rayan broke him." Caelum sighed.
"I merely remembered the kind of king I wanted to become." For the first time since their duel... Rayan smiled at him.
"Welcome to our side." The Emperor extended his hand. After a brief pause... Rayan accepted it. The soldiers on both sides erupted into cheers. A war that could have destroyed millions... Had ended without another drop of blood. Atlas watched the two kings shake hands. A faint smile crossed his ancient face.
"Arkan..."
"... you were wrong." The World Turtle appeared beside him.
"What do you mean?" Atlas looked toward Rayan.
"You believed humanity needed a perfect king."
"But perhaps..."
"... it only needed someone capable of changing another person's heart." Just then... The Origin Key pulsed with brilliant golden light. Everyone instinctively stepped back. Ancient symbols spread across the sky, forming a massive circular gate high above the battlefield. The gate slowly opened. Beyond it... There were no stars. No sky. Only endless shelves stretching beyond imagination. Books floated through the air like galaxies. Entire worlds were trapped inside glowing pages. Aster whispered in awe.
"The Library..."
"It's real." The gate continued to expand. Golden light cascaded from its edges like a waterfall, illuminating every corner of the battlefield. Beyond it stretched an endless library unlike anything the world had ever imagined. Shelves reached beyond the horizon. Ancient books floated freely through the air. Some were no larger than a person's hand. A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. Others were the size of mountains.
Every page shimmered with countless stars, as though each book contained an entire universe waiting to be read. A profound silence settled over everyone. Even Leviathan lowered its head in reverence. Atlas stepped beside Rayan.
"Only those chosen by the Origin Key may enter." He looked toward the others.
"The rest must remain behind." Cassian immediately protested.
"What?"
"We've come this far together!" Lyra nodded in agreement.
"If Rayan enters alone, he'll face the Authors without anyone he trusts." Atlas sighed.
"I know."
"But these are the rules of the Library." Before anyone could respond, the Origin Key floated higher into the air. Its golden threads split into four smaller keys. Each glowed with a different color. Gold. Black. Blue. Silver. The four keys drifted toward Rayan, Kael, Caelum, and Aster. The moment each key touched its owner, a gentle pulse spread across the battlefield.
WORLD SYSTEM Origin Key Recognized Authorized Visitors • Rayan Ashvar • Kael Ardent • Caelum Drakhar • Aster, the Weaver Access Granted Cassian folded his arms and groaned dramatically.
"So the four overpowered guys get to go on another adventure while we stay here?" Kael smirked.
"Try not to destroy the kingdom while we're gone." Cassian rolled his eyes.
"No promises." The brief exchange earned a small laugh from everyone, easing the heavy atmosphere. Lyra walked toward Rayan. For a moment, neither of them spoke. Finally, she removed the silver pendant hanging around her neck. It was the same pendant she had carried since childhood. She gently placed it into Rayan's hand.
"My mother gave this to me before she disappeared."
"It has always brought me home." She smiled softly.
"So..."
"Bring yourself home too." Rayan looked at the pendant before carefully placing it inside his cloak.
"I promise." Their eyes met for a brief moment. No grand confession was needed. The promise itself carried everything left unsaid. King Dasrath approached his son. The aging king rested a hand on Rayan's shoulder.
"I once believed my duty was to protect this kingdom." He smiled proudly.
"But your duty..."
"... is to protect every kingdom." Rayan bowed respectfully.
"I won't fail you."
"You won't." His father answered without hesitation. Suddenly, the Library Gate began to tremble. Ancient runes lit up across its surface. A deep voice echoed from within. > "The Library opens only once." > "Cross its threshold..." > "... and the past can no longer guide your future." Atlas looked toward the four chosen warriors.
"This is where my guidance ends."
"The answers you seek..."
"... lie beyond those shelves." Rayan turned toward his companions. Kael rested his sword across his shoulder, wearing the familiar confident grin that had once belonged to his rival. Caelum adjusted the white cloak of the Northern Empire before giving a silent nod. Aster looked nervous, but for the first time, he wasn't alone. The four stood side by side. Different paths. Different pasts. One shared future. Without another word... They stepped through the gate together.
The instant they crossed the threshold, the Library doors closed behind them. Outside... The world vanished. Inside... Endless shelves stretched into eternity. Millions of glowing books slowly turned their pages on their own. Then, at the very center of the impossible library... A single ancient book floated down before Rayan. Unlike every other volume... Its cover was completely blank. As he reached out to touch it, silver letters slowly appeared across the cover.
RAYAN ASHVAR The Unwritten King The book opened by itself. The first page contained only one sentence. > "Every story begins with a choice. This one ends with yours." To Be Continue....
