"Hua Liuli? You're here too?" Long Feng instinctively muttered, his expression brightening up and his caution rapidly fading away. With Hua Liuli, he didn't need to be cautious at all.
"Big brother Long Feng, it's me! I haven't seen you in a while and you've become even stronger! You actually gained a spot!" Hua Liuli pounced over, giggling lightly as her ponytail hair bounced behind her. A beautiful smile bloomed on her cute face, making one to feel like giving her a hug. One could sense her joy at meeting Long Feng.
"Ah. It's a long story, and it wasn't easy. I thought I'd lose quite a few times actually!" Long Feng replied with a sigh. Liuli stood before him and wanted to speak again but a stern cough suddenly sounded, causing her to freeze and smile helplessly.
"You must be Long Feng!" A calm voice spoke from the room. Looking up, Long Feng finally noticed the other figures in the room. There were five people actually. A Middle aged man with a stern face and a strong aura was the person who just spoke. Seated beside him was an old man who looked like he was approaching the end of his life. His aura was similarly powerful. Long Feng estimated that these two were peak spirit realm warriors even stronger than Hua Yao. And then there was a unique young man seated beside them.
He was dressed in very fancy clothes that screamed of wealth. His expression was lazy and indifferent and the look in his eyes made him seem like someone who saw everything as a joke. Long Feng could almost feel the dense arrogance that this young man emitted down to his bones. It was like everything In this palace was mere toys and everyone were clowns In the eyes of this young man. And standing behind him were two beautiful ladies with soul stirring figures.
Although Long Feng didn't think they could compare to Li Yue'er in any way, he still commended their beauty in his heart. But when he sensed their auras, his heart instantly shook. He almost thought he had returned to the Yin Ghost Forest, back to the time when he sensed the auras of powerhouses in abundance.
"Peak imperial realm masters!" He blurted out in his heart, almost shouting this out loud. Cold sweat already began to drip down his forehead and his heart was filled with panic. And then he sensed the aura of the young man and realized that he was an imperial realm master himself! Although it was just rank one imperial realm aura, it was unmistakably a true blue imperial realm master. This knowledge caused Long Feng's brain to slow down. He almost turned around and left at that very instant. This place…
was like a tiger's lair to him. His life already didn't belong to him the moment he stepped through those doors! What concept was a twenty years old imperial realm master? Long Feng had never heard of anything like this. He didn't know where this thought came from, but he just knew one thing"He isn't from this continent!" This thought set of a new storm in his mind. Such a shocking talent to each the imperial realm at twenty… could this youth be from the overlord continents?
If that was so, then was this the level of geniuses In the overlord continents? If so, then what was the purpose of any hundred continent meeting or anything? It might as well be renamed to the ten overlord continents playground! Long Feng forcefully calmed himself when re realized that his silence was awkward and disrespectful. He quickly stepped forward and clasped his fist.
"That's right senior. This junior is called Long Feng!" The middle aged man glanced deeply at Long Feng and nodded.
"Truly, heroes come from the young. Come on in and take a seat!" He beckoned to him. Long Feng hesitated but didn't dare to refuse. He briskly walked over with Hua Liuli beside him and forced his stiff body to sit down. Even then, he felt like he was sitting on pins and needles.
"I've heard quite a lot about you. Fifth among the top ten geniuses in my continent, you must be extraordinary!" The middle aged man smiled.
"Senior is too polite. Junior was just lucky." Long Feng replied stiffly.
"You must be wondering who I am. I am the clan chief of the Hua clan, Hua Tianyu. This is the first elder of the Hua clan beside me" Hua Tianyu slowly introduce himself and the old man beside him. This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there. Long Feng wanted to cry in his heart.
'Clan Chief of the Hua clan! That's the same as one of the two most powerful figure in the Yihua clan beneath the imperial realm masters!'
"It's this Junior's honor to meet seniors" Long Feng lowered his head and replied.
"You must be wondering why we called you over" Hua Tianyu smiled. Long Feng didn't reply to that because he really was curious as to what such terrifying figures would want to meet him for. Hua Tianyu didn't say anything else and turned his face to the lazy young man who looked like he could fall asleep at any moment. The room fell into silence for a long while before the young man slowly sat upright and stretched. His casual movement seemed to Influence that atmosphere and minds of everyone in this room.
A few minutes later, the doors opened an a maid walked in, carrying a tray with a pot of tea and a few cups. Her entrance broke the tense atmosphere that filled the room. Long Feng breathed heavily and felt a bit relieved in his heart. If he left this place, he would never in his life step into this Yihua clan again. This place was way too terrifying. The stimulation wasn't good for his heart. The maid gracefully poured a cup of tea for everyone and left the room, closing the doors behind her.
The awkward silence continued. What truly shocked Long Feng was that even the Hua clan chief seemed to be just as terrified of this young man as he was. It seemed like they didn't even dare to breath too loudly before the young man.
"Who is this youth?!" Long Feng screamed inwardly. He wanted to cry but no tears would come. What even brought him to this damned place?
"Hmm. Good tea!" The young man didn't seem to care about the atmosphere he was causing. He took a sip of the tea and nodded.
"If the young master likes it, then we can package the tea leaves for you to enjoy" the Hua clan chief smiled almost fawningly and spoke.
"No need. It's merely good. I have much better than this at home" the young man lazily replied.
"Young master, about the engagement…" Hua Tianyu slowly began in a stammering voice.
"Clan chief Hua shouldn't worry. We'll discuss about that" the young man smiled and glanced at Hua Tianyu then at Hua Liuli. His eyes swept over her body and he nodded subconsciously, then his gaze landed on Long Feng.
"You… what's your name again?" Long Feng realized that the young man was talking to him.
"I am Long Feng" he quickly replied.
"Hmm. This young Lord is in a good mood today. I want that sword skill you used during your fight. In exchange, I will reluctantly let you follow me back to the Four regions as a servant and change your future" the young man casually spoke. His tone gave no room for defiance, as though it was Long Feng's honor for the young man to even speak to him. Long Feng froze, then a frown instinctively appeared in his face.
He definitely disliked the bone deep arrogance and condensing act of this young man, but he still had to hide his dissatisfaction and choose his words wisely.
"I'm sorry young master. Even if I want to hand this skill over to you, I am unable to do so. I don't have a manual with me" Long Feng replied calmly. This was the truth. The Firmament Sword Art was directly transferred into his brain without any manual existing. Thus he could never share it with anyone otherwise he'd have long shared it with Yan jian and Li Yue'er. But his reply sounded entirely different to this young man. His lazy expression faded and a slight frown appeared on his face.
"How dare you!" One of the ladies standing behind him thundered, he sharp voice startling Long Feng.
"The audacity of you, a backwater trash to reject my young master's offer! Do you want to die?!" The other lady also shouted. Long Feng instantly felt suffocated, as though a mountain was dropped on his back under the stare of two peak imperial masters. He could barely breath and he had a feeling just their aura could cause him to lose his life.
"Indeed, they're much stronger than that Yin Ghost!" Long Feng thought under their pressure.
"Are you sure you want to reject me? I don't make such generous offers often" the young man calmly asked. Long Feng strained to lift his head and stare at the young man right in the eye.
"I told you… I can't share the skill even if I want to!" He replied amidst laboured breaths. The young man stared at him for a minute before he laughed and looked away.
"If so, then it's a pity. Taste the tea though. It's quite good" The pressure Long Feng was facing suddenly vanished. He instantly took a few deep breaths and realized that his forehead was filled with sweat.
"Brother Long Feng! Are you alright?" Hua Liuli came to his side and asked worriedly.
"I'm fine! I'm fine!" Long Feng slowly nodded after calming his breathing. Hua Liuli sighed, feeling relieved and helpless at the same time. She was relieved that the young man didn't do anything drastic like attacking Long Feng. Otherwise If he did that, then no one in this continent could save Long Feng!
'Brother Long Feng, find a chance to leave quickly. It's not safe for you to stay here?' Long Feng looked at Hua Liuli as her voice resounded in his head. Voice transmission… Hua Liuli has actually reached the spirit realm! He subtly nodded his head and acted like nothing happened. Hua Liuli also sat back down calmly. None of them noticed the sharp glint that flashed through the young man's eyes when Hua Liuli spoke with voice transmission.
"Clan Chief Hua, let's discuss about the engagement then, what do you say?" The young man calmly spoke to Hua Tianyu.
"That's right young master. Liuli has been accepted by the Hua clan and she will leave soon to join them. Could Young master…" Hua Tianyu began slowly, paying rapt attention to the smallest change in the young man's expression.
"I don't care about the Hua clan. Is clan chief Hua trying to tell me that I can't have her again?" The young man asked lightly, his expression still lazy. Hua Tianyu instantly shivered a bit.
"N-no young master. What I meant is that…" Hua Tianyu began but was cut short by Hua Liuli.
"What my father meant is that I don't want to marry you!" Hua Liuli shouted, her voice filled with rage. Long Feng was startled by Hua Liuli's anger. And he was also shocked when he understood what was going on.
"He wants to marry Hua Liuli, and his identity or background makes it impossible for the Hua clan to reject him…" Long Feng thought, a bitter feeling suddenly rising in his chest. He couldn't really describe what he was feeling and he also didn't think too much about it.
"Liuli! Stay quiet!" Hua Tianyu shouted at Hua Liuli, his expression changing drastically at her words. He quickly turned to the young man and smiled.
"Young master, Liuli is just a child. She doesn't know what she's saying. That's not what she meant!" The young man still looked indifferent even now. He slowly traced his chin and smiled. Then a jade slip appeared in his hand which he threw at Hua Tianyu.
"That is a Mid rank mortal grade Cultivation Manual. It is perfectly suited to Liuli and the Hua clan's people. And it can be cultivated to the peak of the deity realm." His words shocked everyone in the room. Hua Tianyu froze, then quickly sprang up and grabbed the jade slip like it was his lifeline. Even Long Feng was tempted to take that jade but he forcefully suppressed that impulse. The slightest wrong move here would spell his end. But…
"A true blue cultivation manual!" The knowledge of Cultivation manuals weren't some hidden secrets in the continent. Even Long Feng new that from the imperial realm, breaking through to the deity realm requires a cultivation manual. A cultivation manual was a set of laws that guided one's cultivation. It also decided the energy type of a cultivator, the density and quantity of a cultivator's energy, the quality, and many others. A cultivation manual was like the life of imperial realm masters and beyond!
A cultivation manual could only be cultivated by imperials and above. That was the minimum requirement. To have reached the imperial realm. Having a manual at the imperial realm would increase one's cultivation speed by 100 percent! And that was the lowest grade manuals. Higher grade manuals could raise it by much more! And a cultivation manual would grant one a whole different combat power!
Take for example, a rank one imperial realm master who had a low rank mortal grade manual could defeat a rank three imperial who didn't have any manual! And the higher the rank of manual, the higher the advantages. The manuals above the mortal grade could reportedly grant a rank one imperial realm master to fight a new deity realm cultivator who has a mortal grade manual! From just this, one could see the importance of a manual. But that wasn't all. That was just the tip of the ice berg.
It was almost impossible to become a deity without a manual! In fact, it was impossible. So a cultivation manual was the first step for anyone who wanted to be able to reach the legendary deity realm! And the higher the grade of the manual, ye better it would be. A peak mortal grade manual could only be cultivated to the early Dao realm. Beyond that, one either got a higher grade manual or risk facing a bottleneck that could never be crossed!
So one's future achievements could basically be decided by the grade of Cultivation manual used! This was one of the reasons why the Mainland's forces were so superior. They had the best inheritances, the best cultivation manuals. Their cultivators were much stronger than the average cultivators of other places. In short, a cultivation manual was enough to cause a bloodshed where ever it appeared, especially in the continent zones.
If words of this mid rank mortal grade manual was to spread, even the overlord continents might be tempted. The Yihua continent would vanish in a single night, leaving no survivors! So even as Hua Tianyu held the manual in excitement, he also couldn't help but shiver with dread at the thought of the Yihua clan's fate if rumors of this manual were to spread.
