And perhaps... spending time around someone as strange and bright as Rei helped him reconnect with life again little by little. That was Hiruzen's interpretation at least. But that didn't matter. Kakashi left soon after and went home. He was in a bit of a hurry because, just like the others, everyone wanted to renovate their own home. That included Naruto and Sasuke too.

Sakura was the only one who seemed ready to throw a tantrum and that was because Rei had promised them that after returning home, they could come back and take the things that they loved. Kakashi had instantly asked for a coffee machine because he somehow loved this damn thing. This time they were at Kakashi's home as bringing random things in open ground would alert the village. Well, not the village, but the old one-eyed man. No, Kakashi, not you!

"... Ready?" Naruto immediately shot upward.

"WE ARE GOING BACK?!"

"Temporarily." Rei corrected calmly.

"And remember the rules. Don't bring anything too suspicious."

"Yes.. Yes.. No big things.." Naruto assured. Rei nodded.

"Don't worry. If he brings any bad thing, I will beat the shit out of him." Sasuke assured.

"Hey.. Do you think you can beat me?" Naruto was incensed.

"We can settle it right now.." Sasuke said with a smirk.

"Let's goooo." Rei had enough of them and had to stop them. Soon afterward the group quietly disappeared again and arrived back at the New York ranch. Naruto still hadn't fully gotten used to the teleportation feeling honestly.

"... I'M NEVER GETTING USED TO THIS!" Meanwhile Sasuke immediately ignored him and headed directly toward storage rooms with terrifying focus. Because unlike Naruto... Sasuke already had priorities prepared mentally. And those priorities included: *compact training equipment *hidden lighting systems *books and *portable cooling devices. Kakashi meanwhile went straight for the coffee machines like a man possessed.

"... Sensei." Sakura stared slightly.

"You really like coffee that much?" Kakashi slowly held the box like sacred treasure afterward.

"... You don't understand." Rei honestly didn't want to know how many cups Kakashi drank daily in this universe anymore. Meanwhile Sakura herself had completely different plans.

"Hmm?"

"... Can I take skincare products?" Even Sasuke paused briefly hearing that. Rei rubbed his forehead afterward.

"... As long as you hide them properly." That instantly restored Sakura's happiness. And thus the great smuggling operation began. Of course everything had to be carefully selected. Nothing too advanced or suspicious. Portable electronics were hidden carefully inside storage scrolls. Flashlights disguised as shinobi utility tools. Compact batteries hidden alongside ninja equipment. Certain modern fabrics and comfortable clothing got mixed naturally with ordinary attire.

Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura looked genuinely happy to bring some of their beloved things back and went home like happy rabbits going back to their burrow after a huge haul. "So are you ever going to tell your parents?" Kakashi couldn't help but ask as he fit the coffee machine and plugged it into a port in the kitchen. The question made Rei get stumped a bit. He had never told his parents about the other world, and Kakashi had noticed it. In fact, that was one of the first things he asked once Kakashi understood how his space-time jutsu worked. It would allow them to travel home almost instantly.

Just imagine, since Hana or Daichi were at Konoha, Rei could just take them from their location to Konoha in just a second. Of course, Kakashi and others couldn't just do that as it would expose Rei's ability for space-time jutsu, but during emergencies they could always do it. But for doing that maneuver, they needed his parents to know. But sadly, Kakashi got to know that Rei never spoke of this to his parents.

"I think I will. Because if I announce it much later, it will be quite disastrous." Rei had delayed this long enough already. Kakashi knew and even Team 7 knew. At this point, hiding the existence of another universe from his own parents started feeling strange. Thus after returning from Kakashi's place, Rei finally sat down inside the living room with Hana and Daichi. Thankfully, both of them didn't have missions and were free.

Immediately both of them sensed something serious because Rei rarely looked this awkward voluntarily.

"... What happened?" Hana asked first.

"Is it about the false grade of mission? I will talk to Hokage-sama about this." Daichi said.

"No. No. It's not some bad news or complaint." Rei replied quickly afterward.

"Actually... kinda the opposite." Daichi slowly narrowed his eyes slightly.

"... That sentence somehow concerns me more." Rei quietly exhaled afterward before finally speaking.

"... I need to show you both something. Please follow my lead." Space distorted. The room itself twisted slightly. And suddenly Konoha disappeared completely. Both Hana and Daichi instantly tensed in reflex. But the next thing they saw completely shattered their focus anyway. They were inside a gigantic ranch house. Open modern interiors. Massive glass windows showing endless fields outside. The distant glow of New York's open fields and forests far away on the horizon.

"... What." Daichi finally spoke. Meanwhile Hana slowly stared around with widening eyes while instinctively gripping Rei's arm slightly.

"... Rei..."

"Another world.." Rei said and then went on to explain what the contracts could do now. They were beyond amazed and Hana again had tears of joy. This mother of his cried too easily. His earlier mother would probably call her weak. Soon afterward Daniel and Laura entered the living room after hearing the commotion. The moment they noticed two completely new shinobi standing there, both immediately froze slightly. Especially because unlike Naruto and the others... these two radiated competent adult energy.

"... Uh..." Daniel raised his hands slightly afterward.

"... Please don't stab anyone?" Laura smacked his shoulder instantly. Meanwhile Rei immediately stepped forward before things got weirder.

"Mom. Dad. This is Daniel and Laura." The two awkwardly greeted them. But Hana and Daichi immediately became polite because from their perspective these people sheltered and helped Rei inside another universe for years. Thus Hana bowed her head lightly afterward.

"... Thank you for taking care of our son." Laura immediately looked horrified.

"... NO NO— honestly he mostly takes care of us emotionally and financially at this point." Daniel looked proud hearing the compliment. But then Rei casually dropped the next sentence.

"... Also both of them are under full contracts."

"... Full contracts?" Rei nodded calmly afterward.

"They tried bullying me when I first arrived here." Instantly the atmosphere changed. Daichi's smile disappeared immediately.

"... They did what?" Daniel internally felt his soul leaving his body. He and Laura had felt the slight bloodlust and the psychotic behavior of Zabuza, but this felt something else entirely. Both of them felt that they were standing in front of dozens of corpses and this guy was standing on the top of the pile looking at them, ready to reap their bodies to shreds at any moment. Meanwhile Hana slowly crossed her arms afterward while looking toward the two of them calmly.

"... You bullied my son?" The sheer maternal disappointment in that voice somehow felt more terrifying than chakra pressure. Rei meanwhile quietly watched everything while trying not to laugh. Seeing his parents discover the existence of another universe only to immediately focus on "who bullied my child" felt incredibly on brand. Eventually Daichi sighed tiredly afterward before rubbing his forehead slightly.

"It's alright. I have them under me." Rei said and then went on to explain what he had done here all this time and how rich he was here. His parents were getting surprised by every minute.

"I think we can just retire here." Daichi couldn't help but laugh at the end. Rei didn't pay any more attention to Daniel and Laura, as he had told them to go back to their work while he would show his parents around here. Hana was very happy knowing about the time difference. She wouldn't have to worry about her age here anymore and even Daichi was happy. He was also a bit mad at his son for not telling him this huge of a secret, but he didn't outright say it.

Later that day, Rei took them to the city and their minds were doubly blown this time. They couldn't believe that such a huge city could even exist in this world. They thought that the new planet was just like theirs or maybe bigger. Not in their million dreams did they expect this place to have cities like this. They had so many questions about cars, metro, buses and most importantly the airplane. That made them rethink their lives and look back at their own village and think of how backward they had been living.

If their world was more technology-oriented, maybe they would have been living this kind of life. But then again, in a world where shinobi and chakra existed, it would take a lot for them to become as advanced as the humans here.
